I am under-whelmed with the TRP. Harder to work on. Changing the O'ring is more difficult than TCP/FSC. It cost at least $150 more than TCP/FSC. You pay a lot and sacrifice a lot to have that bang activation. Thanks for the good look into the TRP.
Lol, I wouldn't use it for self defense if I have to smash the button hard enough to pierce a CO2. Byrna's design is just way better. One trigger pull and you can easily pierce the CO2. No more banging hard against a button.
Kind of reminds of how the Grimburg charges $150 more for their Gavle when it first came out compared to the current $500 price they're charging now. I bet when their next gen pistol launcher comes out, they'll charge $150 more just like they did to the Gavle. But I can wait til the price on their next gen pistol launcher comes down. I'm not paying $150 more for a Grimburg pistol launcher. That just ain't gonna work for me.
@@LessLethalOptions-82323 Well, the Byrna TCR does have the power and you can tune that up to shoot at least 50 J. As for pepperballs, they are not useless.
I had a problem with my TRP double feeding balls. I switched to the Grimburg hp68 projectiles and have since had zero issue. I’m wondering if this launcher is more suited to that vxr projectile shape, wish they wernt so expensive lol.
I have some and inerts I was planning to test in it. Our BK Kinetics ammo typically feeds well in stuff that likes VXRs and they did great in this, so that for sure makes sense

Very true, but it has a lot more power than the Byrna. I love my Byrna Hi Viz edition, but I do wish it had more power. But that being said, I get a consistent 298-315 for the first 2-ish magazines. After that it drops pretty consistently. Something that amazes me is that Grimberg is able to get 36 Joules on their launcher and they're a much smaller company than Byrna, so why can't Byrna make a launcher that is stronger than their 18 Joule LE.
@@Joreel Only problem I have with the Grimburg is that they cannot use standard non threaded CO2. Other than that Grimburg could have been a good choice. For my Byrna, I just use pepper rounds all the way.
