Using my current lineup of machines for every task I could throw at them in one tattoo. Sidewinder V3r vs V7.4, Mojobox v2, and Swingliner v2. Full time lapse of this 45 minute tattoo at the end of the video.
The whole range of sidewinders including 46ers is awesome. But the mojobox is really incredible regarding what you can achieve without touching anything beside volts and polarity. 3 rl fineline, rs15 fat lines, soft black & grey with 15.30 (10) mags, heavy blackwork with 25 - 45 mags... The color saturation is outstanding too ! Regular needle, cartridges, you name it, it will do it. Thank you Dan. Now I only expect you manage to make an adjustable grip for cartridges that keep it aligned with the push bar while tattooing. I think this is what causes most of the motor wearing (i.e. swingliner 1&2) Thanks for this awesome tools 🙏
V3r is my favorite of all time and the dmcv2 those two are my favorite but I've all your machines they are my fun drives my Ferrari though I feel we're I want to get their fast and look good doing it is the v3r handsdown
@@br4ndon21i use the v3r for lines bigger than a seven usually a 11rs ir 14rl and I use the dmc as my fine liner or shader with a 5liner and my main shader now is the mojoboxv2 13 mag standards or a 15 mag bumping for bng I've been doing big cholo bng sleeves with just the mojobox vad ass fine line single needle bng soft 3rl gangster clown girls and 11 mag hair shading but if im doing traditional or japanese all day v3r and mojobox for color aswell i can tune the v3r for color or my 7.5 but the mojobox works better i have the v7.5 now bit I hardly set it up cause i just got used to the v3r and mojobox combo
hello Mr Dan this year y have opened the drawer of the coils because I can't tattoo with pen (even high-end ones) but I have and feel the need for that sound that is both coil and hybrid tattoo I got the v.74 the v3r( fantastic) and the mojobox v.2.2... I decided not to get the dmcv.2 because me and the cartridges are very much in quarrel... the mojobox has no equal... thanks mr dan for all the tips and advice what do you give us... now I attack the next bad girl v46R I booked from wild cat Barcelona 🐈 .... a hug Mr dan🫂🇮🇹
My V7 is insane for shading and stippling. It definitely runs better at slightly lower speeds. I still really struggle with band configuration, if it’s slightly off the machine runs so different. We have limited rubber band resources here in the uk from tat suppliers. Any advice would be greatly appreciated on one particular that is perfect (import adds a hefty price for some rubber). So far I’ve had a DK direct, first mojo box and sidewinder 2, 2.5, 3, 6 and 7. Holy grails of tattooing.
Think of your rubber band as another tuning element. Lifting up or pushing down on the band will effect the hit. I recommend lifting up on the band, and increasing spring tension to balance it back out. This will cause less strain on the bands and reduce breakage. Thanks for the feedback!

Hey Dan ive tried write over instagram but no answer, i could need some info. I just got the dan kubin x adam sef revival, what can you tell about it from new how it comes? i was wondering if i can do all group line work with it, but also do some packing with it as it comes? what would you recommand for volts? i tried it today, it dosen't really push mutch before i go up in the 7 voltage for smaller lines. Any info about it? would love it. Thanks!
Try removing the backer spring (small spring under the contact spring. It will slap more. Workhorse sets those up with the contact turned in a bit, so it will break in to the proper stroke/setting. I would try toying with the contact a little. I’ve been able to push 11’s at 6 volts no problem
