Inspired by the original video, located here: • DKC2 - Gusty Glade 47....
Far from optimized, I just learned this purely because it seemed like an interesting challenge, and because I haven't played much DKC2 lately. Overall, it took me about 5 hours to learn, practice, and execute the wrong warp in a manner where it'd actually save time over a non-WW IL. The route is mostly the same as the original video, but I did change a few things around, such as:
- The strat for the 2 Klampons near the start
- The method of regrabbing the beetle after the two pillar jumps
- The setup for the jump at the end, which I think makes it easier? (Definitely slower, though)
- Getting invis on the left side of the wall instead of the right (which seems way better for sure).
Overall, I'd say I'm about 2% consistent at executing this warp, which isn't too bad given how ridiculous it is. Fun stuff! Can't wait for it to be RTA viable in 2025.
