@@demigods3559 it seems somewhere they forgot the real charm of the original series. I'm only just finding this work now and I never would've considered playing the new 3D games. But this game makes me see why DK was so good
What exactly is this? I know it's a fan project but, is it an entirely new set of levels like this? is it a romhack for DKC3? What is this? It is beautiful and the music is fantastic, I'd love to make music for something like this.
It's a fan project made from scratch trying to merge elements from the 3 classic Donkey Kong Country games. Therefore it is not a romhack and only works on PC.
@@Rangelukaz Romhack for which of the DKC games? I'd imagine 3, since 2 and 1 have elements that can simply be imported into 3. Is it still being worked on?
😃I LOVE the music in the background. It's so beautiful, ambient, hypnotic & island like. It reminds me of both Al Festa's "Cop Game" (1988) & "Zombi 4: After Death" (1989) Movie Soundtracks. Any of u familiar with Al Festa?
I'm glad you liked it, that was the idea of using a more epic song for a mysterious forest. All credit for this beautiful composition goes to Rodrigo Boechat who also works on the project.
Your levels look cool. I have always wanted to play a DKC game with all kongs, bosses, enemies, animal friends, etc. from the original trilogy. A level with many Zingers would be cool and the bosses would be a duo, King Zing (DKC2) and Queen B (DKC) which you would have to play together.
Meu Deus, isso tá muito bem feito. Tanto musicalmente, tanto no jogo, um dos cenários de fase e trilha sonora mais bonitas que já vi. espero que vocês consigam finalizar o projeto 🙏🙏🙏
I find the atmosphere very beautiful, I recently watched (once again) the series Lost and somehow the level reminds me of Lost. I think the level also has something very mysterious about it. In any case, very well done, but I find the music for this level a bit too intense from the middle onwards. The level would be perfect as the first or second level of Donkey Kong 4! So very beginner-friendly and not too difficult to get into the game. May I ask where you got the level from? I've been following the Facebook channel of Donkey Kong Country 4 for a while now, but could it be that they never released the level? I've never seen it there, and I've only seen it here for the first time.
Thanks for the feedback, and I was really impressed with how you accurately described one of the inspirations for the scenario and also how this would be the first level of the project. The difficulty is very low, just a walk with the appearance of a buddy, just like in classic games. This phase was never released as it was being developed for the final version of DKC4, but the project ended up undergoing some changes, so as I was the one who created this level, I had permission from the rest of the team to show it.
If i was the CEO of rare, i would recognize this as a true sequel. Honestly we get 2d games released all the time nowadays, why cant we have this art style back? Just clean up a few rough edges on the sprites and background and boom its perfect for todays audience
I really wish more people had this opinion, but unfortunately these types of games don't sell as much nowadays so the big publishers don't pay attention to it anymore.
i like...really wanna play this lol. is there an official account for the game or is this the account? ive seen it talked about a long time now....this....dkc4 project. if its the same one im thinking of.
Does Rambi have his DKC 1 or 2 running speed? 'Cause they slowed him down in 2, and personally, I prefer how fast he was in 1. But I know changing it now would mess up the level design.
@@Rangelukaz hopefully it comes out soon I would love to be one of the first ppl to play it. I also would love to upload it to RU-vid to try and give the game more hype.
