Well lets put it this way, both the consoles i ordered from them had zero issues other than the cosmetically flawed one that i ordered fully aware of its condition. So i see some holes left in some people's claims.
Yeah, I got an NES, and it worked perfectly. (For NES standards, my dad freaked out about it though, and insisted we get a replacement after I wasn’t putting cartridges in well enough for a while.
@@Jakthehero33 one bit of anecdotal evidence, vs a whole bunch of videos showing the quality of their "refurbishment". You realize this is a million dollar company and you were only a single of of a few thousand customers? I'm seeing more and more of them as their popularity rises, which tells me their letting more and more slip by
This video is full of lies. This video was made because of videos that were made by other people receiving damaged and unclean game consoles, controllers, games or other damages. I’m not convinced. Saying mistakes can happen is just an excuse. Mistakes can be avoided. Double check your work. It isn’t hard. Especially a cord. Clean the system. Check for damages.
I ordered a bundle of Xbox and PlayStation games around the holidays and one of the Xbox games (Fable) arrived damaged; unfortunately, upon reaching out to the DKoldies team they told me to pay for shipping back and then they’d send me a replacement…not sure when this policy changed like in the video lol.
This is a good acknowledgement, but the problems are deeper than this. Numerous videos show what condition these consoles are sent in, prices aren't anywhere close to being appropriate for the condition of these items. I understand making a profit but 2-3x market value is absurd even with free shipping on large purchases.
@@ZeroEffortF82 Absolutely, however, them having these prices (and people still continuing to order from them) will influence other sellers to raise their own prices.
This guy is just a hired face for the company and that’s it. If I were him I’d take the money they paid you and run my boy. They’re making you look very bad.
@@solidfixes nope incorrect, a simple google search is all it takes 🤣 drew Steimel is the owner and operator this guy was just hired to promote that’s it.
Resellers are like this everywhere unfortunately. Your best bet is facebook marketplace. Your chances are better on there than they are with these guys
i bout a cib ps1 game from yall it got damaged in shipping i contacted customer support and they sent a replacement and told me to keep the damaged copy thats why i shop with dk oldies they have really good customer support
You paid the cost of 3 of those games and even after getting a replacement sent and getting to keep the original, you still didn’t get your money’s worth. 😂
I've seen Playstation 1 consoles at thrift stores for like $20. Lol at $100 + for one on DK Oldies. They shouldn't ever be more than $40 and that is being very, very generous.
Here at DK Oldies, we’ve added another check in our system, so that this doesn’t happen again. We started with one check, but we messed that up. Things slipped through. We added a second check, to verify the first check, but we noticed by missing the first check, we missed the second one. We are now up to 97 checks to make sure your order is correct and arrives to you looking good. We are now adding a 98th check to our process, since we dropped the ball again 👍
I work in a stores department in a big water tank company. We have many checks in place, when I’m picking the items each item gets photographed and once completed all photos uploaded to “team up” where someone will check in the office that it’s correct. In the stores department we also have supervisors that check off the items before going to final packing area. Also have a book with everything correctly shown on what to pick. With 3 things in place, we still have mistakes being sent out. It’s very hard to get 100% success rate.
Thanks for recognizing mistakes like this! Stuff happens from time to time and things get missed, but it does NOT mean the company is bad. Thanks for providing good customer service! ^_^
DKOldies shipped me an original first party Duke controller for the original Xbox, it arrived damaged, just like they say in this video, I didn't have to bother shipping the broken controller, and within a few days I had the new undamaged Duke controller. Great experience!
Notice how the smuck owner Drew is never in any of the videos and he’s constantly putting the pressure of back fire onto Joey and Joey had to drag “Justin” into this . Shows a lot about the owner and his shady business practices from the top down
@@eliel1815shadow No, he's just a social media representative or something. Which makes it even more sad, that Joey's the one who most often has to deal with hate from people because of things he can't really affect. He's just trying to do his job, and I think he does it well.
@@CptGravel Wow, i always thought he was the owner, the manager, the ceo or something since the first videos he appears on camera he was shy and moving awkwardly
@@dubx8494I wish I knew about this sooner. I bought a game from them and it’s on the way. They are not going to have a choice but to give me a refund cause I’m not accepting anything less
Funny, when you guys sent me not one, not two, but three faulty games (The last of which, I requested you guys test before sending it to me), I never got any store credit, discount or anything. Matter of fact, I filled out a form and haven't hear a blessed thing from you guys. This video is false.
You guys do a great job! I ordered a wii remote and a couple games from you guys a few months ago and everything was is in superb condition👌 Will definitely shop with you guys again. Cheers! From Canada🙂
All you need to do is use a washcloth to clean the controller cords, I do it all the time with mine and it’s easy to feel when there is a break in the insulation
That's a lie. My own return experience from them is awful. They sent a game boy advance and one of the triggers didn't work, I asked for them to send another fully functioning game boy advance and I asked to keep the one they sent so I could turn it into something like a GBA console but they said no. So I sent back the game boy advance and will never deal with them again
“Looks like this one slipped through” lol I love how they offer store credit thinking you’ll wanna buy from them again also wtf how do you not notice cord damage maybe inspect the shit you get in beforehand
After the video I saw 2 days ago large channel paid a mint for a wrecked “system”. They have their work cut out for them. The order wasn’t filmed so it was only packed with extra funk. Good timing, the last gaming video I watched was also an issue with a dk order.
