Love you. That evening Regina Hall did a bad joke about he and Jada and their marriage. Then Chris later does his joke . It was said that Chris went off script with that joke. That was not on the list of the jokes that had been reviewed. Chris jokes were on the promteur. The black guy was on Good Morning America. They interviewed him. I think his name is Packer . I agree with you. It appeared to me that he had a meltdown. Look up Regina Hall bad joke about them. I told someone to, that all the great work he has done. This is what people will remember.

Show me one comedian that hasn't been threatened. Show me a successful comedian that hasn't been in a physical altercation because of a joke. You can't it's impossible. Its inherent with being funny, an occupational hazard sort of speak. People genuinely don't like being made fun of or ridiculed especially when theres an audience. You viewed this as a “call out?” I viewed this as DL commenting that will did a wrongful act, but understood why he “snapped.” And validated the hurt Will experienced after trying to be transparent with the public and his fans , and reminded us how cruel people are and reminded us “not to give to dogs what is sacred.”

DL is my favorite radio personality. He is hilarious as a comedian and a much needed truth teller in a crazy time in history. Met DL as a background actor, he was cool and genuine. Grew up with Will, Chris is one of my favorite comedians. A sad day for black excellence.

Can I just say that I love DL Hugley? I cannot remember the last time he was not 💯 on current events. And his no nonsense yet SENSITIVE take on what took place at the Oscars is some of the best most level-headed to date I hope that Will finds the healing he so desperately needs. Unresolved trauma is real; and what a horrible result one deleterious split decision caused. Will Smith will now have the dubious distinction of having overshadowed the shine of everyone's remarkable achievements that night, including the all female team hosting the event. And, including HIS OWN. I'm sure if he could go back in time with the hindsight he now has, he would have handled that situation entirely differently. And the fallout is not even over.

The thing about the entanglement is that the August Alsina came out and said something and the Smiths responded to him coming out. They didn't deny it they once it was out and they discussed it at the Red Table. But you are so right, I thought transparency was a good thing. And I've been applauding the Smiths for being so open and transparent. What I've seen especially this week is that people are so cruel. That joke would have been forgotten the next day. This was the second least watched Oscars in history. Instead this moment will live on in infamy because Will couldn't control his emotions, and Jada couldn't be bothered to try to save him from himself.
