I agree...when I was a child, I stole a Starburst candy because my mom didn't have the money to buy it. My brother once stole a pack of pencils from a store and was caught by store security, but they just called our parents to come pick him up and talked to him about how stealing is wrong. They didn't drag him into a patrol car, making him think he was going to jail! I am disturbed that people can't agree that an 8 year old child should NOT be treated like an adult. It's just common sense that it is cruel and over the line to treat an 8 year old like he is already a professional adult criminal. A civil society does not treat children this way. Only a flawed one does.

D.L. Always having to explain, like a Sage, like a Prophet... He approaches the subject matter head on and delivers a ton of heavy iron, as it should be. The abuse and cruelty so clearly expressed is searing my eyes and yours. But they know they are protected and cuddled by a system that always gives THEM the benefit of the doubt and the cover that the children don't ever get. If it wasn't for the cellphone camera present, we would never know the extent of that cruelty and abuse...

You're Speaking Real Truth! However, Separation is our answer! We cannot, continue, living among these type of people, who really are Jealous, of the Blackmen, and Blackwomen. They are breeding hatred within us all, no matter the race.
@derrickgraham9276

Instead of separation do you think the amalgamation of races through breeding and diluting of the majority race be a potentially more effective way to end racism?
@Jacqueline-hy3vy
@Jacqueline-hy3vy 2 года назад
I agree separation is the answer however most won't go physically but I don't understand how come we do not separate financially, that is our answer. The Honorable Elijah Muhammad had the answer but we are so caught up with religion we can't leave our personal beliefs at the door for the greater purpose of our freedom. We shall NOT overcome without sacrifice! What do we have for them to be jealous about, because we are the original people and Africa is where it all started? I don't think they give a damn about any of that because we don't use it to our benefit or act like it matters. Seriously what do we have, no land, no money and no plan. I love us but collectively we ain't doing nothing to raise up against the oppressor.

@@derrickgraham9276 , Absolutely NOT! What is the majority race? Surely you aren't referencing the ytes! Because if so, news Flash they are NOT the majority race! yet, they rule, let that sink in. During Slavery you had hundreds of black enslaved people on 1 plantation and 1 Master and all 200 fell in line. You can see 1 or 2 police brutally handling an unarmed Black person and 25 to 50 Blacks standing around taking pictures with their phone. let that sink in. This whole breeding idea. There has been mixed relations since the founding of America back in the 1600's now let that sink in.

Mr Hugley you are always right in point, unfortunately what came first for SOME of us was and is our inability to protect our own..We fight each other because that easier than realizing anything can come and take what's ours and Laws don't protect us either. Kinda scary to think we don't have the control we desire to protect our babies and ourselves even.. White folks are armed and ready while most of us are angry and fighting each other, high and unfocused, sarcastic and mean spirited, clueless and has no plans for the future, an intentional participant in the destruction of the communities we live in..
@siriuslyspeaking9720
@siriuslyspeaking9720 2 года назад
Sadly, it seems any self criticism or introspection of ourselves, is seen by the most vocal among us, as being self hating, or blaming the victim. Hughley sees Black on Black crime, as acceptable. He equates it to normal random crimes of passion, at a normal rate, and not the high rate of fratricide, that it is. Much of this violence is predictable and centralized, among a narrow demographic among us. Need it be mentioned, that we of all people can least afford to act so self-destructively? Hughley says "Black on Black crime is not a thing, like many others today - like Michael Eric Dyson. They dismiss it based on the ideas of opportunity and proximity. Their reasoning puts more focus and thus value, on the circumstances of the act, and not the outcome of the acts. They see no value in the proactive act of saving countless lives, by the simple act of valuing/respecting our lives and each other. They also use the weakest of the circumstantial arguments that could be made. Proximity, which Hughley focuses on as the cause, is not heard as often, as an argument, as is poverty or unemployment, neither of which has ever been new to Black people. Poverty does not explain the level of violence that has been going on in many Black communities for over half a century. Over decades Black people have been heard to say "our people sell drugs to survive', but it is obvious, it is antithetical to survival, yet many of us say this. This is the same attitude expressed when one is indifferent to the high rate of fratricide we engage in, and pretend that it is the same, for all people. How can they deny that we start off from a position worst than any other people? What they are doing is, exerting our right not to be equal with everyone else, in the worst area imaginable, but are in fact, exerting our right to outdo everyone else, in this worst of areas imaginable. It makes no sense, or only in a world of denial of reality and gas lighting. It is like we are fighting a civil war, while being attached by an enemy. You rightly pointed out we have no plan. We have been calling for a 'Black Agenda" or Black Agendas, for over a decade. None of which were a list of things for us as a people to do together for our own benefit. They all have been appeals for thing for the government to to for us. The focus has been shifted to the government and racism in all its forms, and no attention let alone responsibility is directed at us. It is so bad, that we can proclaim to the world that Black lives matter - period, and demand that other people be proactive (anti-racist) for our benefit, while we on the other hand, retreat from our responsibilities to ourselves. Is this what it means to be woke? If racism in all it's structured and systemic forms are the main cause for our problems, doesn't it logically follow that our response to it must also be systemic/structural, or at the least highly coordinated?
@Jacqueline-hy3vy
@Jacqueline-hy3vy 2 года назад
The truth hurts and you said a mouth full. I agree 100%. We keep expecting our oppressor to have a change of heart, my question is when will we change and respect ourselves enough to demand and sacrifice for the human rights we deserve. Real talk cbreez40 thank you!
@Jacqueline-hy3vy
@Jacqueline-hy3vy 2 года назад
@@siriuslyspeaking9720 I agree that we absolutely bare some responsibility however we cannot factor out circumstance. From the time we got here there has been a supremacy plan well organized and working to the detriment of our people. What is the percentage of black people committing black on black crime, I think considering the whole the percentage is possibly low in comparison to the rest of us being productive members of society. Being proactive is definitely what we should be doing however we must factor in every evil that thwarts our production from past to present such as Jim Crow, red lining, drug & alcohol availability, school to prison pipeline, the war on drugs was actually the war on black people (see Ava DuVernay 13th on Netflix) and countless other purposeful attacks. It is a fact that most people commit crimes in the area they frequent and let's not dismiss the skin we're in is the first alarm in any area where others skin is of a different hue. Most police officers are killed by white men, but if you believe the news media who purposely portrays us as savages you would think we were the most vicious folk on the planet which is not the case. There was a Man with a plan for us to become totally self supporting and he was doing it until internal strife and sickness ended his reign, his name was The Honorable Elijah Muhammad and it is a documented fact that his financial plan was working in some of our communities but as per usual we fell from within. Let's not forget The Honorable Marcus Messiah Garvey as well. Black lives matter was a reaction to the horrendous actions from a people that make it clear white supremacy is the law, the flag and the way. Yes we must take more responsibility however it's not that simple and it never has been.

The sad part the majority of people not Black think is o.k. in why the police officers treated our children. Our children aren't considered as human beings. I made this comments because of the other RU-vidrs' comments saying it was o.k. in how the 8 years old was treated by the White Police Officers in NY. They thought it o.k. in how the four children were treated by the Police Officers in Minnesota. Thank you speak out against this abusive behavior.

Sad but so true. I am in law enforcement along with my daughter. My son can not stand the police due to mistreatment when he was a teenager. Up to that point he was fine. He saw me get up everyday to go do a job. Then when he was slammed on police car not once but twice for "Having a smart mouth" officers words. He was jaded for life. My children were always taught to respect adults not just police. So I knew it was a lie and neighbor said my son just asked why was he being stopped. I took my complaint up the chain of command. End results officer received a "verbal" reprimand only. I did not expect my son, daughter or myself to be treated better due to being in law enforcement, but I totally see my son point of view.

Foreign autocrats hold their power over people and those whom they see as enemies by maintaining an atmosphere of fear based on the use of massive and unaccountable force. If you compare the two, you will see that there is no difference between the ways and mentality of those autocrats and ways and mentality of much of what many people think are perfectly acceptable methods of policing in the US.

Remember how policing started in advent of slavery when black slaves weren't allowed to be in the streets at certain hours, on the roads and in the shopping areas without a travel pass from their slave masters. So if the same structure that established these policing actions has been made to be something to acknowledge now then we got to look at the past. We were kept out of the economic bracket, education to imprisonment pipeline, lack of real estate and banking investments and higher interest rates on loans and the list's goes on. The problem is that we know this and we're still expecting a change to come from them. We shouldn't expect anything except for what they show and have shown us. We can NOT trust them. They have been known to to speak with forked tongue.

This is true. Europeans do not see black children as human and they have socialized harm against black bodies. Poor black males have done horrific things to black women and scarred them into submission. It stems from prison culture. You have to be able to talk and cry through your trauma and get to the root cause. Violence is a first response of human survival. This is why continental Africans fare better than Americanized blacks because they haven’t been socialized around adolescent trauma

Sir, our children have a lack of introspection until their feelings have been hurt or fear has been instilled in them. There is a break in the loop of how we, as black parents, have to take responsibility for the ways we bend the perspective of out accountability. We as black parents come to the school and cut up with the people. Black administration has to tale responsibility for how they open the door in white spaces that allow for harm to our children. This issue starts in the hand of us as black parents who justify the behavior of our children because "everybody always fking with them". We act just like the children and we have no boundaries around the conversations we have around them. We create the chaotic mindsets that make for trouble in the schools. We aren't even a generation aways from the parents that beats us and let everyone around do it too. Don't think those children, who are grown now, have taken in the wisdom of discipline, they send their kids to live out their dysfunction at school. I home school, but I have also allowed them to attend institutional schooling as well and baby yall blk parents are out of your minds. Then look to me because "we all we got". No you are not all I got because I sent my kids to a school in Boulder, CO pws, and my children's minds were so focused and their spirits so calm that they didn't want to leave when it was time. One of my big kids said his mind felt safe there and he could just be him and not always worried about how black is looking on me or around me. Dye to the collective behavior, they have resources available that have been trash in black school, not that they weren't offered, but fkd over or not supported. Those parents were in those schools daily and had working relationships with the teacher, staff and the other parents. This is not happening in black schools because we gotta argue about bonnets and grown attire before we can get to the csre concerns of the children. We even take white folks who integrate with us and now they got bonnets and no goals. This is not a society accountability issues, this is an in house issue that we as black people need to open our eyes for.

It IS what they want! First give the dog a bad name, then the village will give you the rope to hang it and the tiki torch to burn it.

I don't think an officer need to be trained on how to handle a 9-year-old kid who stole some potato chips The kid was wrong however he still learning he's just 9 years old the officer should have known better why was the police called anyway I have saw a man walk out the grocery store with a basket full of food all they done to this white man was take the basket of food from him and he was able to drive off and this was a grown man I believe color played a big part because if it was a black man something else would have been done We have all these polices these senators black leaders governors the government just doing all this stuff running the world and not taking care of the big picture the big issues They want to fund all this money for the homeless SMH how crazy is that however not even addressing or try to fund or help black Americans get their freedom ..

I agree 100% but we also need to hold our kids accountable for there actions. As a parent if you are keeping an eye on your kids and teaching them right from wrong they are less likely to end up in these situations. Parents need to be held accountable too.
