DL&W RR's "cut off" from Clarks Summit, PA to Hallstead, PA 1912-1915 

Thank you for postng these wonderful historic photographs and mechanical drawings. It's mind boggling the accomplishments of the DL&W RR in the early 20th Century and all with private money.

THE LADY AND GENTLEMAN, ARE MY GREAT GREAT GRANDPARENTS, ON MY FATHERS SIDE !!!! AT LEAST THERE ARE 5 (FIVE) GENERATIONS OF MY FAMILY, RAILROADERS, COALMINERS, BURIED ACROSS THE SUSQUEHANNA RIVER, IN SAINT LAWRENCE CEMETERY, IN GREAT BEND, PA !!!!! I VISIT THEM, WHEN I CAN, LOUDLY SOUND MY HORN,AND, LET IT ECHO THROUGH THE VALLEY !!!!!!
