you're the only one that I know who has ever no-damaged this boss. This video really taught me how to fight it effectively and stylishly. Thank you man
Now that is SST (Stylish Show Time)! I am glad someone else is having fun in DMC2. :) I still love the game since PS2 because of Dante and especially Lucia and Trish. :D
yusuf alman DMC 2 is fun, I mean bearable, on higher difficulty, since the AI gets more aggressive and actively seeks to hurt you. In lower difficulty, the AI is brain dead and just let you shoot freely at range.
*_this, i like_* to those who support DMC2 no matter what, love y'all really. you show love and appreciation to this underrated game. really, and for the player, congrats, thanks to you for proving the true potential of DMC2. let's rock! ♡
If there's one thing I seriously miss from DMC2, it's those stylish directional dodges. Anyone else hate how DMC3 and 4 downgraded that to just a roll?
Veloziraptor111 Yeah this had spectacular wall jumps, backflips, dives, cartwheels. Gave this so much intensity and action. Would love to see this work with trickster style.
KingsLight The wall jumps were more of an annoyance though. So many times would I try to dodge and end wall jump right into an enemy's attack, or in that shitty section with the helicopter I'd fall into the fire.
Excellent gameplay. Many of gamers hate DMC2 because they're not mastering its gameplay technique. But I love the way capcom design it. The story, the characters, the bosses, the gameplay are so awesome and I really enjoy playing it.
@@virhilios3789 the bosses are rlly fun to play if you fight them just like the guy behind this video. Trying to evade and using the Double jump at the right time, doing some air and ground combos... And their DT variations too :b... I think the only boring bosses are the infested chopper and argosax (the infested tank too... But at least it dies quickly so I considered him as a standart enemy)
I suffer trying to execute that infinite aerial kick. I can only do two at a time. Third one always miss because Dante falls why doing that move, but you do it flawlessly!
I respect people who actually give attention to the battle system and give it a try even with sharing how they are practicing through it, this is one of my favorite games. Something about the atmosphere in it makes it a truly strong title in the series, it deserved to be amazing (the shortcomings are there, unfortunately holding it back) but it is still a really good game for what it is in the final product especially if you play with the style in the video! I actually have DMC2 Dante as my lockscreen, my love for the game goes beyond the soft spot actually lol
@@beastorizeofsion I can relate hahahah. I passed beyond thinking this game is garbage. I mean, it is hahahah, but it has its good points and I focus on them. Also, the atmosphere in this game is so different, kinda "dark" maybe, and really inspired other games from the franchise.
@@DanteBlack Well xD I respectfully disagree as a DMC2 fan, I honestly can't put the name "garbage" on the game at all because I am a sucker for PS2 games. It is held back by a few developer hell notes but it is fun when you adapt to the combat mechanics, with a note that the arcade department worked on it, not the one that made adventure and action games, then Itsuno stepped in. For the final product, it was definitely good, and the story was cool with Dante's unapologetic personality. Just that... barely anybody understood the appeal. It was pretty much like Bloodrayne, B-movie aesthetics inside video games lol. Of course it doesn't beat the phenomenonal storytelling all the rest of the games and the anime had, though. It's just its own cool piece of the series and 2000's gaming. Styling system of dmc2 needs to come back, it had an emphasis on guns with some melee switch-ups. Cool mixups, like in the video! it had amazing advertisements too. I'm trying to pickup a physical copy for the PS2, I have only played it on the HD collection.
@@beastorizeofsion I do prefer to play the emulated version instead of HDC one. It has a feel visual original elements that are different in HDC. Most lighting, textures and models.
@@DanteBlack Oh wow, I'm going to have to try and do that. My pc can probably run dmc2 on pcsx2. Thank you for letting me know there are huge differences in the visuals! 😁 Another example that everybody didn't like Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge but I had a field day with it. 😂
Devil May Cry 2 ftw! I will always love this version of Dante and I'd do anything to have a remake of the game or these exact moves/personality/style again as a DLC 😊
i preferred the combat mechanics and style of dmc 2 dante so much more than all the others solely because the va was heavenly with the portrayal and buttery smooth lines, and the ability to just tilt the left stick mid combo to CHANGE the combo completes me inside.
@@kurokyoto6221 I am personally a fan of all the games, anime, and stories, however; it is no surprise he would end up as your favorite in terms of gameplay and personality. ;) This game is sick, loved the gun-to-gun and gun-to-melee combo variations, the jump kicks and wall freestyling were also cool. :D
Shiro Frost True. But both are inferior to what their series' quality is. And oddly, both feel clunky and imprecise gameplay wise. Don't get me wrong, DkS1 and DMC1 also feel clunky, but they have a certain fluidity and precision to them that the sequels don't.
Shiro Frost Yeah I respect that. To me , both DMC2 and DkS2 had their good moments but overall it was a slog. I basically forced myself to play them at one point and once I finished then I was like "finally (with a sigh of relief)!" instead of "finally (with a sense of accomplishment)!" After replays, I came to like DkS2 more even though I still don't like it as much as any of the other games. As for DMC2...I still can't like it. I find it annoying and boring to play, whereas I only find DkS2 slightly annoying.
clearly you skipped DmC:. that was the actual shittiest dmc game ever made. 2 was just a game not originally intended as a dmc game just like the first one being more like resident evil initially.
@@kurokyoto6221 who said that DMC2 was not intended as a DMC game? But you are right about DMC1 that was RE4 in concept before it turned in DMC. DMC2 only had a very bad and problematic development,it could have been even worse if it wasn't perfectioned as the best as they could at the end of the developing. If the entire game was fun like playing with Trish, and if it had better enemies,it wasn't that bad as a DMC game.
