As usual, everything is more beast when Vergil is involved.

it was never really outlined or explained, but i assumed it was to cope with the loss of his mother. i think he was probably ashamed of himself that when she was murdered by Mundus's demons he couldn't protect her because he was too weak at the time , and strived to attain power to never let anything happen like that again. "Might controls everything, and without strength, you cannot protect anything."

DMC4: SE. Now who's motivated?!

I have UMvC3 on PS Vita, and I play this track through the system music player while playing as Vergil. Gets me pumped.

Man,this song is still fire even when compared to Bury the light and Devil trigger.

I’m still baffled how this was left out of Vergil’s bonus tracks for 5, as well as his album. It’s the only track not on any of the OSTs if I’m not mistaken, although a very similar remix of the song is used for a bonus video in 3.

Vergil's the only reason why I'm playing DMC4: SE in the first place.

I just realized this Dante and vergil fight completely differently Dante is very flamboyant and over exaggerated with his moves in a fight And vergil is very quick efficient only dealing critical hits Dante makes a opening with high aggression Vergil waits for his opponents to slip up and strikes

as for Dante fighting him, your guess is as good as mine. even Dante didn't know the point of what Vergil was trying to do, and Vergil didn't answer properly when he asked. "What are you gonna do with all that power, anyway?" his answer was simply "I need more power." so it'd fit in if he was trying to make up for / avenge the death of his mother by taking on Mundus with his rightful claim to Sparda's power. but you're right, it's very subjective. seeing as nothing was really set in stone. :p

i like the constant pauses.

Man, teenage vergil was so edgy and I'm here for it! I loved dante's divine hate it sounds fun but this one sounds hard, edgy, and angsty and overall more aggressive and i love that!

Really? You're still hanging onto the idea that us DMC fans are still butthurt over the 2010 trailer DmC appearance? Instead of, oh idk, - Broken Style Meter - color-coded enemies - Weak difficulty that relies on Color Coded enemies - bastardization of characters - ZERO developement for the other supporting characters (Kat) - Excessive cursing and vulgarity - Underwhelming ending - and others but i guess its the appearance that we hate the most, huh?

I think this song would be so much cooler if after he says "All hail the father divine. To his son, the light will shine" or whatever, if they added a slight pause and then they took the effects off his voice and had him sing instead of talking and then increase the the base and the amount of guitar and made everything sync up together for the rest of the song. Also a second or third verse would be nice. I guess it's more fight music than listening music. But still it would be so cool if they had done that.

Love this song! It's my favorite DMC3 song even though it's only an extended version of Super Play. I think its better than Dante's version. When first heard this playing as Virgil, I like "Holy Crap! NOW DIE TO AWESOME MUSIC DEMONS!"

Yeah, the DT looked like Sparda, and the dodge,wall climb, Side and Back flip mechanics were the best. Also to mention the Air Hike double jump already obtained.

I think vergil's yamato has some unique moves but dante and vergil have the most coolest move sets

@Froodjakle Thank you, at least someone understands. Dmc 1 will always be my fav tho, story, music, and level design as well as older mature Dante and of course the Alastor sword.

DON'T think of the classic DMC games when you play this game and forget it's even related to branching off as a reboot. Then you can't complain with it not being like the originals because it is it's own beast.

@EuryBartleby This goes even further in Devil May Cry 4 where ante tells Agnus that Humans have something that demons don't. So yeah, this seems to be a huge plot point about Dante's strength.
