I just downloaded and subscribed toDMD2. It looks very interesting. One thing I noted however is that the media controls are buggy. The buttons don't' work for the two music apps I have installed (Rocket Player and Music Folder player). They do work for Audible but the display continues to show the last music track I played. This is an important feature for me and works with other navigation apps.
We did an implementation by the book, widget implements media session controls. Spotify has this right, other apps do not, for example, Google own RU-vid Music has it wrong (LOL). Are you using offline music files? A solution would be having our own full media player inside DMD2.
@@THORKRACING Maybe the book is wrong. I am using audio files (mp3) directly on the device (I ride in the mountains and other places where there is no coverage). Your application is far superior to any other navigation app I have found. Becoming the home app is brilliant, it solves problems I have with other navigation apps. The level of customization available is extraordinary. Other applications, such as Autozen (navigation), and the Media panel in OneUI have implementations that detect the current media player and automatically switch to controlling/displaying to that app. I have been a professional software developer for 40 years but, unfortunately, have never programmed for Android. There must be another API for audio controls.
@@augustotx6437 Thanks. I have tried that corner, not successful yet. I’m being very cautious, I don’t want to accidentally slip and gouge it. Someone else suggested, trying a hairdryer to soften. I may try that. Thanks again for the suggestion.
