Same for Beterbiev, best examples of champions, yet so humble. Both felt like it wasn't their best fight, but that was due to their opponent ofc. I thought bivol won or a dsraw at best but, the physical effort Beterbiev gave at that age, impressive. Tho I don't think 40 is so old but many casuals seem to think that.

Yeah anyone with a brain saw Bivol win by 2 rounds, people don't realise you score by the round not the whole fight. The whole Dazn team thought he won and Turkii thought he won. Winning rounds without landing a punch makes no sense if the other fighter lands and the judges did it a few times it seems cutting off the ring while losing shoudn't win you the round.

But didnt you notice the punches Beterbiev threw were landing on gloves? Bivol doesnt move his head so you can always land on his gloves. But you don't score punches landed on gloves. It has to land on the face or body.
@@GuyFromTheSouth this isn't the amateurs. that's not how you score boxing. it is largely an eye test in the professionals; "who would you rather be in any given round." that's why judges don't take CompuBox into consideration. They also don't watch slow-motion clips when scoring. it's largely an eye test not a punches counted test.

Winning rounds is about hitting your opponent with more damaging shots or a higher volume of shots than he hits you. You don't win rounds playing defense.

There are way too many examples of horrible decisions, way too many examples of “questionable “ decisions do t you think? As someone said any educated boxing fan doesn’t really trust judges, especially in close fights. I was predicting a win by Beterbiev yesterday because I thought he had the power to put Bivol out... watched the fight and completely changed my mind... I thought Bivol landed the cleaner shots. Yes Artur was the pressure fighter but Bivol was doing a lot of good work on his back foot countering. I'm a fan of fighting and don't feel robbed for watching this Amazing fight. I just feel for the fighters who were robbed from a clear victory.
The reason why people think bivol won is because the highlights team from the live fight was bias! They only showed bivol highlights! Never any shots beterbieb blocked and landed.
I skipped inbetween the rounds and didnt watch any of the highlights. I also thought beterbiev didnt land clean. I wanted beterbiev to win, but thought bivol would. And I think bivol won comfortably. I had beterbiev win the first 2 rounds and last 2.
I like Bivol's manager. He's not about the bs. He calls it like it is. This isn't the first time that he's been so outspoken about things that others dance around. I also agree about what he said for scoring: there needs to be objectivity, not just in boxing, but in any sport. You can't be scoring according to aggressiveness or something. Casuals… when will they ever stop complaining? Beterbiev outlanded Bivol across 6/12 rounds, compared to Bivol’s 5/12. One round (Round 6) they both landed the same amount of shots (9 shots). In this round Beterbiev’s output was SIGNIFICANTLY higher than Bivol’s. These statistics make the fight at LEAST 7-5 Beterbiev. 115/113 Beterbiev is the fairest scorecard. 116/112 is only a round further, and this could’ve been the first round, which could’ve gone either way. Casuals need to stop whinging and start watching boxing! Excellent fight, such a close fight, and one for the ages!
