Congrats to Bivol. His discipline and solid technical skills won him the fight. Never understood why people wrote the guy off like he was some easy fight. Glad he's gonna get the recognition and respect he deserves. Canelo deserves all the respect for challenging himself. He didn't resort to any catchweight or rehydration clause bullshit. He tried it, lost but he'll be back. I honestly don't see Canelo winning a rematch but I still have him winning against anyone at 160 or 168.

@@victorsimpson8847 Bivol can do that but I don't see much glory in it. Generally a fighter will go up in weight to challenge himself. Going down just makes you a weight bully. Particularly when you haven't even cleared out the division you're currently in. I would still watch that fight if it happened and would favor Bivol.

@@carminearpaia8064 To me the key will be increasing Canelos stamina. Those first 4 rounds Canelo looked great and was at times bullying Bivol. But he gassed out and stopped pressuring and let Bivol find his rhythm and distance. If Canelo is to have any chance of beating Bivol he NEEDS to work on his stamina.

The same thing was happening in the Caleb plant fight. You’ll notice in rounds 9 or 10, Canelo looked visibly pissed because he was getting outboxed. Only thing is plant wasn’t good enough to finish strong but someone as big and confident as Bivol proved to us what real boxing fans seen all along 👍

Canelo also got 15-40 mil base plus 70% of PPV, Bivol only got 2mil base plus 30% of PPV. I think he wants more respect such as a higher base (maybe 5mil plus 40-45% of PPV) and to be honest he deserves it as hes the champion that demonstrated his skills

Always trust this dude. I watched his fights carefully and said he had the perfect style to humiliate Canelo. I only doubted if he would withstand the punch, but his victory was an easy thing. He is superior in everything. Better jab, better footwork, better use of distance, better stamina. Canelo just threw power shots and tried to counterpunch, but didn't know what to do when a complete boxer got in front of him.

It was not an humiliation, he didn´t do a real damage to Canelo but he won clearly and deserves that credit. And aslo Canelo deserves credit, the most of the campions that go to another weight starts having preparation fights with class C or B fighters befor fight a champion, in this case Canelo took the best one and had the oportunity to take him in 168 lbs instead of Plant but he didn´t ,he took it in his most comfortable and natural weight (175 lbs).

I think this guy might become my new fav boxer. You can see he is humble but you can also see he isn’t exactly paid big and this fight helps to put his name out there more in the regular boxing circles and talk. He will no doubt start making a lot more and get a lot more respect as a champion than he has, and that is what he is alluding to when mentions. “Getting what he deserves”

The translator didn't quite get it right. What Bivol said was "this fight was on mostly on Canelo's conditions and terms, if there's a rematch I want it to be on my terms and conditions". He didn't say a word about deserving or anything like that.

I've been watching Bivol for a couple of years and I think he's the strongest of the Light Heavy weight division, this match was very tide and I enjoy watching this kind of fights for Canelo, the difference I. Size was the most important fact I wanted Canelo to win but it's good for him to keep growing, I'll love to see a rematch

Canelo was the challenger and we treated him like he was the champion 175ILB at no catchweight, he lasted 12 rounds which is extremely impressive. A little humility Canelo come back down to 168. He will bounce back and move on, Bivol will now be in the P4P conversation. I hope he becomes undisputed after this. and Canelo comes back down and defend his titles at 168.

@@jayjohnson6567 He fought a light heavy weight at no catchweight and lasted 12 rounds. I too want to see the Charlo, Benavides, Andrade fights. He has no choice but to look at that route. He won’t stay at 175. He looked lethargic and sluggish. Bivol said in the press conference his willing to come down to 168 and challenge for all the belts. Canelo has options.

Canelo scorecard are always controversial that fight was never 115 to 113 from round 4 onwards bivol took over. This is why you have to respect weight classes in boxing canelo thought he can do what he did to a washed up kovalev to a younger and prime natural light heavyweight in bivol canelo was gassed from the 4th thats why he was fighting in spots. Bivol fought a discipline fight. Canelo must be regretting not putting that rehydration clause in now lol. He's been humbled son. Rematch will be the same outcome he couldn't get close to bivol In the centre of the ring. Bivol jabs & his one two combination & speed was the problem for canelo. Canelo underestimated bivol boxing Iq he thought he could do what he did to to washed up kovalev to bivol. he's been humbled let's face the fact this is why we have weight classes in boxing for a reason canelo shouldn't had been in that weight he was gassed from the 4th round that tells you yes credit due for him taking a risk but no one remembers the loser if your body can't do the weight then just don't do it!! There's a reason for weights in boxing!

Fr all he did was throw power punches , he had defense but no movement going forward , no jabs or combinations , he couldn’t get to the body and barley landed to the head because of the defense , Bivol wasn’t doing anything too crazy too but his movement and jab kept him away
