I dont doubt this test. I replaced the original injectors on a nissan sentra with cheap chinese injectors. From 1 or 4 holes to twelve. Vastly improved power and MPG. Total price: about $30. Amazon. I just got lucky. In my experience as a cheap parts buyer, they either work or they dont. If they dont, nothing you can but send it back. No sense in trying to fix something thats new.
Thank you for the demonstration. My 25 year old Saturn 'S' is coding P0172 after renewing the intake manifold. I bought a set of 4 cheap/Chinese injectors to test the system. I'm now very suspicious of the cheap injectors....
Thanks for the video! I knew these china-shipped injector, supposedly the same brand as what i need, were fake! They sell 4 of them for less than the price of 1 genuine supplied one! So glad i found this video, fake boxes and labels, typical of CHY-NAH! :)
I used cheapo ones from Amazon . Less than $30 for 4 ( compared to$100 for one). They work great. No complaints. I got 12 hole. While the holes are smaller but there are more of them making a complete clog less likely. No complaints.
This was pretty cool, There are lot's of things I will save money on... injectors is not one if them...I'm not gonna spend ID money but I will buy genuine.
Question.. when you say real are you referring to a specific name brand such as fic that have already been matched or do you mean just new genuine Bosch injectors
@Super240sxturbo wouldn't that mainly affect idle... at high rpm it would mean not max power.... The main thing these top brand company does is to refine the sorting of injectors, that's what we paying big bucks for
@@YostBuilt Then can you redo the video. I dont see how its possible to not show different results when fluid is obviously leaking from your set up. Even if not a drastic difference. Id never buy chinese injectors so i guess it doesn't matter anyway. But i love these data videos. Do you have a set of IDX and a set of FIC injectors you could run in there?
By the looks of the spray patterns there are serious tiny defects in the hole of the chinese injectors ...due to imperfections when making the holes without precision machine. Why bosch is selling that price probably due to the brand, QC, and precision machine
Well most aftermarket companies buy in bulk and test every single one and the ones that work get sent for sale and the ones that don't go to the trash. It is what it is, if you're on a budget than I can see your point
That does not apply to Bosch 2200cc injectors. They were designed and manufactured for Hydrogen Fuel vehicles, which are EXTREMELY sensitive to variances in fuel delivery. Therefore, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING is done to them to come up with a perfect set. They are absolutely amazing injectors. Extremely linear, extremely well matched [from any one injector to any other of the millions of bosch 2200cc injectors], extremely good quality. The companies that relabel them as their own, simply do that, they relabel them, then jack the price up to twice the price. Do the research, you'll see. Only issue with them, is startup, they don't start flowing too perfectly at low volume. No way to fix it, just let the starter turn a couple more times. Hydrogen engines need a lot of fuel to start, so they don't use that low volume area. I'm sure you're thinking, so why did they not come up PERFECT in his test??? My thinking... it's the chinese test machine he used. It's not perfect.
how do you know you are getting True Bosch injectors I got mine from big Willy. They’re supposed to be Bosch True Bosch injectors have you tested any big willies injectors?
I was thinking of getting some $65 Australian set of injectors for a Toyota Rav 4 . After seeing this video will not be buying them now . China seems to be immune from prosecution regarding false labelling and copyright etc. Having made in Germany printed on the packects , when in fact they are cheap Chinese crap is an insult .
Wish I watched this before wasting money on worthless eBay replacement units. From the first very first start with the no name generic injectors, it ran like utter crap-produced a DTC for a "fuel cut". I went thru so much trouble trying to narrow down the root cause. Fortunately, I held onto the originals and took them to a specialty shop for rebuilding.
Why do people think that high flow is better ? In a time where gas is $5 a gallon … I come on here looking to find injectors to try to get 30 mpg in a Silverado . I once bought remand injectors for an old mustang that had 200k on it and cut fuel mileage in half , I’m looking to find some injectors that the engine just needs to smell the gas to run .. seen a video guy adapted a lawnmower carb on a 289 v8 and was getting 40 mpg
If you want 30 mpg from your Silverado then drive at 45 mph everywhere and accelerate slowly and avoid using the brake pedal. Smaller injectors will damage your engine.
Looks like fun. have been eyeballing one of these machines for home use. I work alot with fuel injectors in my career. What fluid are you using? I def. Recommend Stoddard solvent, aka, mineral spirits. It is close to gasoline in viscosity ( higher) so dependeing on the injecto design, may flow more or less. Stoddard is flamable, but you almost have to intentionally light it off. Just keep your vapors contained.
Just seen instead of ID2000 thousands put into a bone stock 2003 GTI 1.8 T ... Car has Is over 220 K mile Car was not took in care of Before the tuner got it... So what did he get for horsepower out of an AWP 1.8 t . jetta motor / golf motor... Only thing done to this bone stock 1.8 t.... A big turbo upgrade and straight through exhaust... So far he has made 566 horsepower And over 500' pounds of torque and hes not done tuning yet...
Nice testing, but you should have looked at your pressure gauge, and realized those injectors flow more than your machines pump can feed which voids ALL of your test data. If you cannot hold consistent pressure to the injectors, then you will not get consistent, reliable, nor accurate results. With injectors of that size you really should be doing them 1 at a time on a machine that small.
@@Super240sxturbodoing some basic math, you would need minimum of 550 lph of fuel to supply 4 of these injectors at 43.5 psi. There are not very many single electric pumps that could supply that, not to mention you would need -8 lines, and a dual feed oversized fuel log to supply them that much fuel. Injector testers like this just cannot handle injectors of this size, hence why I said to only do 1 at a time. 2200 cc's(210 lb/hr, 35 gph, or 132 lph) at 43.5 psi of fuel is ALOT of fuel flow for 1 injector(many V8's use injectors that are only 15-20% this size), and even 1 at a time is more than a machine like this can handle since they only come with about a 100 lph pump.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the tests show inconsistencies in favor of the chinesium? 20 secs for medium flow genuine bosch and only 10 for the chinesiums? So, at most it's running a risk of a rich condition?
Those testers are crap. Thet batch fire the injectors instead of in sequence, messing up the ratio of fuel flow to each one due to pressure fluxuations. Modding it or just using and old hacked ECU is best. Its good for getting you in the ballpark, but dont trust the results unless you do them one at a time in the same position. Good video tho.
hey nobody, (fkn cracks me up), hey i'm an outfitter in alaska, we've got 4 yamaha f60 4stroke outboard jets that we use in skinny water for kings/silvers. we've got a lot of sand in the river & i've been researching ways to clean my injectors without having to buy 16 every year. i've done the hook a hose, spray some fluid, pulse the injector on a battery and spray & it seems to work pretty good but damn...after watching videos like this, i feel inadequate:) i guess my question is you've piqued my interest in the old ECU thing and i was wondering if you had any videos or links you know of kind of explaining it. now i may be crazy because maybe most of you guys on here are modder & engine builder dudes who need a lot more balance out of their injectors. anyway, your post seemed really smart so you're either 'really smart' or a damn good bullshiter. i hope i get to hear from ya. 8
Ok, so now I've seen the results. If the injectors were cars. The German car just stomped all over the Chinese car, and did donuts all around it, while the chinese car was up in flames!!! 1000whp vs KABOOM!!! Bond fire anyone??? Pass me the marsh mellows, please.
They are junk also. Despite Hondata Recommending them, I have returned my share of deatschwerks injectors enough to never recommend them to any of my customers, friends, or family... Enemies, why not.
So if you have the need for 2200cc injectors that means you must have spent some coin on your motor be it’s 4,6,8 cylinder .why would you skimp out on injectors which will lead to the death of your motor.
Exactly, why would anyone do that. Fuel system/injectors are not to be skimped on, tires maybe. For testing, no problem. And, if someone sends him a set of the injectors he mentioned at the end of the video, then he can test some of those. Otherwise, I would not complain, and let him test what he can afford.
If I'm that hard up I'll rebuild junkyard injectors. Chinese may make some good stuff, but in the automotive field it's a huge gamble - Their bearings are total trash.
ur testings flawed notice during higher duty tests fuel pressure is low looks like pump in ur testers flow rate is to low try 2 injecters at a time these testers got weak fuel pumps upgraded mode to a 400lph pump works great
I would recommend racetronix for real ones, but you can also find the real ones on ebay, you just need to know how to identify the real thing to fake ones. Personally, I bought one real injector from racetronix so that I can compare the real thing to what I buy on ebay. Doesn't match up in quality from a visual inspection, then it's not the real thing. So far, I have not been disappointed with fake being passed off as real... knock on wood.
For the money, you can't really do worse. Going to cost big $ for a professional machine. I am not talking about an Asnu. I do recommend using stoddard solvent ( aka mineral spirits) . The higher quality stuff is close to gasoline in viscosity ( density) and not nearly as flamable. You would have to really try to light off stoddard.
These fuel injector testers are about the same quality as the cheap injectors they test. Fuel pressure is erratic, fuel rail has no loop, most fuel pumps are not adequate. Most are cheap China made and if your gonna test for quality get a good quality tester not a 300 dollar unit off e3ay, but I will say there is good and bad with Chinese made stuff just like everything else. Just about everything we have here is made in China and a lot of it is good quality but they don't have the quality control to cut out the junk either so there's good and bad and it reflects in the price. You have to pay for quality no matter where it's made.
No Maybe in your world .Everything is not made in China. China makes copy's and always has .Junk copy parts .Some dangerous .What happen when you lift restrictions! Japanese parts are well made if your speaking import or global sell outs .Buy American !
I can just tell you are running the wrong fluid in that machine with all that foam. You should really invest the $40 and get the right fluid it will work alot better! I have the same machine
Don't ever buy cheap China injectors off Amazon or Ebay ETC the safest bet though at times a expensive one is to purchase them from your vehicles manufacturer,Ebay/Amazon fuel injector are made in China and these sellers buy them at wholesale price dirt cheap in bulk so your 60-80 injector set actual price probably 2 or 4 bucks each per wholesale,So no quality control no OEM specification test nothing,I learned the hard way trust me lol
Your test is not a good test. These injectors (genuine or knock off) are too large for your injector tester to have 4 hooked up. If you noticed, the 2 center cylinders get the most fluid amounts because they are closest to the pump. I have the same tester as yours and performed the same tests with the same results for both knock offs and genuine. The fluid pump in your test cannot handle that large of a fuel injector size. You need to test one injector at a time for a valid test. Do this by unplugging all the electrical connectors and plug in one at a time. Also, understand what the functions do for each setting. It's very obvious you are just pressing buttons and spitballing what you think. You clearly don't know what you're doing.
We're they $70.00 each or all 4? What happens on a used car lot when the bottom line is Amaz/eBay, by CCP slave labor. Wouldn't trust the copper winding for long🔥Thanks for Trying 🤐
$70 injectors are for a $700 project car. $450 injectors are for a $4500 project car. Pretty simple. Some might say $4500 injectors for a $45,000 project car... but I wouldn't. You can't get better than the 2200cc Bosch injectors. Get twice the amount of injectors per cylinder, and double the entire fuel system, for twice the power. Still not going to cost you $4500... and that's the entire system... Ok, maybe on a modded Hurican Performante... oh, but, that's not a $45,000 car, now is it.
And no it's not a professional machine, $400 is $ store quality.Spend $8000 on an Asnu test bench to qualify you as a professional!.You are 'shade tree' at best.
So you used an incorrect setup on a crap testing machine (yes, i have tested It and It Is a crap).....and made a video making statements that have no sense. RU-vid....
What we are seeing is Chinese plagiarism in both the test bench as well as the Injectors themselves.Thank you for the waste of time. 'Man up and buy a professional test bench'. The results will be different but still junk Injectors
Id say the real problem is they are Chinese knock offs but not really! Hence the package says it was actually manufactured and made in Germany! So it seems to me that the results say more about the current state of "German Engineering" and is on them more then the Chinese! Not at all saying the Chinese aren't responsible for some real crap but when you are crap broke plenty of times the Chinese options have resulted in getting me back on the road cause i didnt give myself false hope and knew what i was getting was what i paid for! The Germans to me should be the ones who take this L on the mr chin! Lol IMO but i dont see where im Wong! Lmao
