Sodium deficiency is a real thing and it will make it hard to sleep. I been eating clean for a while now and I never thought about sodium and since my diet had hardly any sodium in it I had to add back sodium and ever since I been sleeping like a baby.
Michael drank and smoked cigars, Kobe chose training over sleep, Beastmode stashed Skittles in his socks, and Chad ate McDonald's. It seems to all come down to individuality and finding your own balance. Thanks for the interesting content!
eating a cheeseburger before a sporting event is the way to go. you will burn it off. that is the point. your body knows it can expend so much energy and it responds accordingly.
Reflecting on my experience, it’s all about the timing of “clean” vs “junk” food! And my only question is for the “high fat content” that could slow recovery by clogging the digesting process. What do you think PJ?
I think your definition of clean eating is exclusive to you and sounds like an extremely low carbohydrate diet which is a terrible idea. The easiest way to add “clean” calories to an athletes diet are things like dried fruits which is extremely calorie and carbohydrate dense, next would be raw dairy which is incredible for bone density, then white rice which is extremely dense and if you add sauce to it or bone broth it’s extremely easy to eat in large quantities. Last would he honey and maple syrup which are excellent to replenish carbs quickly. Sourdough bread and pasta are other great options too
Very true. athletes eat like sedentary people and vice versa. 😮 In my team the most overweight guy eats the most shit. The leanest guy don't eat at all. And they wonder why they look they do..
