I got completely bossed around by a Kremlin in ranked today. My Shima with F3s raced across the map to catch him near his usually uncontested cap, and got a 102500 hp dev strike from 8 torps and resulting floods. I felt totally bossed.

yep all my vids show what i run, usually the builds don't change much, you'll see that most dd players use the same up front builds and then just change a few things here and there to get better guns
Im playing heavy cruisers a lot, but also am into learning how to play DDs . Just as you said early in the Gdansk part...I LOVELOVELOVE "my" DDs ( the ones on my flank, or in Team in general ) to clear up a flank of OpFor DDs so that I can push in that side and then wrap around to go support middle . Apart from that, if - as usual - my BBs only intend to use me as Bait so they can farm damage and otherwise couldnt care less what happens to me, or the Objective, a friendly DD more than once not only helped me survive, but make a real impact on the Game despite overwhelmingly "idgaf" passive gameplay by a Team of BBs . Re the Libertad/BBs in general : in Randoms, one can even watch the best secondary BBs available hiding/staying at max Range galore . Too many BB players simply dont want to get their paint scratched . Loving your Vids .
As a DD player, I rarely listen to battleships. They want you to run into the cap and die so they can complain about you running into the cap and dying while they sit in the safety of the back of the map. That’s not every BB player, but it does happen a lot. BBs do the crying DDs do the dying.
I don’t have either one yet, working on getting the Yueyang next. It has a 24 second radar vs. a 10 second radar. Gdańsk is on my list next. Have to get the tier 9 first though. o7 Ripper! Thanks for the video!

i hate that they gave those DDs smoke AND radar... the least they can do for "historical accuracy" is give Marceau her radar... bad enough you can't even compete with Smaland or some of them anymore... it's resigned to a long range gunboat to be effective.
That columbo player remind me a Thunderer who insulted me (and all dd of our team) because "u are all bad players, u cant do kills" while being a Thunderer who ignored the fact that the enemies team managed to push into our cap (I hate standard battle) and preferred farming a Bismarck instead of defending our cap.
Hey ripper all dd should have forward firing depth chargers so at least we can run a sub!!! That would at least give us a better chance. What’s your thoughts?
Jäger is, in my opinion, the most challenging ship in the game to play well. You don’t like it. I get it. It has good, but not the best, detection. It has to be like a mouse in a house full of cats, with no escape tools like smoke. But, well handled, it is very powerful. I have over 1200 games in Jäger, with a 57% WR. Yesterday in a Last Hope situation, vs five, I had already killed a dd and a BB, then in Last Hope, killed a sub, a DD, and a BB. Each time spotted and dodging, survived until the clock ran out. Given a few more minutes, I could have killed the last two cruisers. To me, gun boat HE spamming from cover/concealment just isn’t that fun, or as difficult. My biggest complaint about Jäger is that, while I do frequently kill red dds (two in that game), it is optimized for killing BBs, and killing BBs doesn’t win games.
How is 5,43km concealment just good, and not the best? Jäger is as stealthy as a Kagero-class which has the best concealment in her tier range (7, 8, 9, 10)
I stopped listening to other players a long time ago, unless it's the built-in commands like a fire mission or smoke request or something. A lot of people take out their own frustrations and imperfections on other players. Don't let it get to you, they'll just spoil the game for you. Sometimes I don't listen to players who do mean well, and I mess up. That is a shame, but I will at least learn from my own mistakes. The odds of a good player giving useful feedback or advice are not all that great. 😂
I have some clan mates that just tell me get into the dam BB and cover me as they hop into a DD.. Why, for some reason I can hit DDs with BBs as long as I have a DD in front. Now lower tier 5-6 BBs I can have a ton of fun messing with the DDs, even tier 7 not in a division.
If BB players were smart, which they aren’t, they would just keep their mouths shut. Without the DD spotting, they wouldn’t be able to sit back at spawn and shoot their guns with their 3 digit zip code dispersion. I just got the Druid and it’s a beast. 6.6 km concealment so it’s not like you can go cap right away. Actually, I don’t like to cap at first and give them my location. But it doesn’t take long for the BBs to start bitching at DDs to go spot. They are absolutely nothing w/o the DD spotting. WG doesn’t allow dead people to ping the map. I really think it would be a good thing if you die in battle, you can’t chat.
I give up concealment skill on Gdansk. Put the points into MH and PM. No concealment skill, 8.2km detect. Radar range is 9km and reloads quick. I play with chat disabled. No need to ruin a good time with some trash talking and/or stat shaming nub stars.
Well, should BBs be dictating the game to DD players or vice versa, no, if you are a Bb player, play your role, if you're a DD player, play your role. All to often DDs either rush to their death and end any hope of winning or just dont get out in front and screen for the enemy DDs. I personally hate DD's like Sherman, which are only good if someone else is spotting and they can sit in a smoke and spam. I find myself more often then not telling the DDs what the radar boats are and their range, as well as to back into caps so they can escape easier at the beginning and then let them do their thing. Usually to die in 30 sec to a minute. That clown in the colombo was just being an asshat.
Love the idea of not raging against DDs as they are critical to success. Unfortunately most DD players kill themselves in the first 4 mins which leads to most of the player base being tentative at best when it comes to DDs. DDs do win games. Unfortunately most DD players are mouth breathing animals. Hopefully your channel can change that!

Sounds like the "average toxic, trolly dudes writing style". Too many of them in the game also. How hard is it to state something useful without toxic and over dramatic word choice?
