I doubt it, I think the only body change is that the feminine bodies have slightly wider hips. So I think they’re both the same

Gotta say I really like the fact that they kept the universal hitbox thing from 2 instead of adding varieties. The shoe thing, however, does alter which height your shots come from due to how Splatoon series uses the weapon as bullet origin.

Back in Splatoon 2, it actually was the case that with the Afro you had a tiny bigger hitbox Glad they fixed it in 3 by giving them all the same one

Surprised how one can disconnect and the game can still keep going while most of the time I’m not so lucky in Salmon Run or in battles with that. 💀 Because of my crappy eyesight with focusing problems, even with glasses, hairstyle doesn’t matter because I can’t even see the hair when I’m getting splatted anyway 😂

the devs would have to code in hitboxes to the hats or hairstyles which would just be bad game design and its not rly something that can happen on purpose but shoe hight seems to raise the actual height of ur character for somee reason so that prolly makes a difference

The slightly different weapons and mayyybe shoes could have shifted the hurtboxes and the biggest thing would be keeping the heads still since it looked like some people were looking around a bit with motion controls But overall great vid

In a Competetive PVP game making it easyer because of a hairstyle is very unfair, Usually when making such a game with no different classes aka models, u just make 1 hitbox that applies with cosmetic visuals not counting towards them.

Given the nature of Splatoon as a console AND projectile based shooter; I wouldn't be surprised if the hitboxes were just a solid box around the player model, not multiple boxes seen in your PC shooter. Especially since I don't believe this game cares about headshots, just that you hit the opponent at all.
