You should try the jeans from Big Bud Press and Shiny By Nature! They're both brands that have a regular style jeans button front but elastic on the back/sides. I'm surprised they weren't mentioned in this video.

I have a severe GI disorder & really hate anything pinchy. Gentle compression & nice flat waist bands rock my world. My most perfect work trousers are "active walking pants" from a senior fitness section 😂

CARRIE!! u should try this brand shiny by nature! their denim has an elastic band that sits on the sides of the waist and so it fits a small waist and wider hips. they might be a little cropped for ur height but they have been a LIFESAVER for me
Have you tried Democracy jeans? They have elastic inside but it’s not visible from the outside, unlike the ones you tried on. They are the only jeans I’ve found that don’t hurt my stomach in years. They have them at TJMaxx, Nordstrom Rack, etc. too.
Carrie, you gotta try Halara. The very first ever comfortable jeans that look great! They are soft and stretchy everywhere, not just the waist. They were long for me (5.5")but totally worth hemming. Great quality, fair pricing. Not your grandma's jeans.❤

I know Kohl's isn't cool, but they have some jeans from their Sonoma brand that have elastic inside the waistband, so it doesn't look like they have an elastic waistband at all... They just look like normal jeans. Anyway, they are my favorites.

Although a pricier option, you should definitely look into the rag and bone sweatpants/jeans!!! Everyone I've seen have been straight-sizes and I'd love to know how they fit and feel around the tummy!!
Doing the real work out here for us tummy ache survivors! I have endometriosis and bladder pain syndrome. I can't wear real waistbands without being in severe pain so I haven't worn jeans in literally years.

I just need my butt pockets and I don’t understand why!!! I love the asos wash, I would think having elastic in only the back would be more comfortable. I have pants with side stretch and it just feels wonky to me! Would love an update after you’ve worn them for a month to see how they really hold up!
Can you do one with jean shorts too? I cannot wear like ANY normal jeans because I have an athletic body type and paper bag/elastic waist jeans work SO much better for me. Hollister has a nice pair (I own them) of wide leg (but not TOO wide). There’s no elastic in the front, but the whole back waist is elasticized. And not too pricey.
This is my exact problems with jeans or just pants in general. My apple shape just makes any little bloat a big problem when i sit. I thought these were the jean sweatpants i keep hearing everyone rave about. The last ones were my favorite on you too
Love this video! Rag & Bone’s Miramar line of “jeans” are the game changer. Expensive, but so worth it. Printed to look like denim, but actually sweatpants!
There's a brand called Ginger and Dandelion that makes jeans designed for people with stomach issues (bloat, endometriosis, etc.). I've heard amazing things, but have been too scared to try because of the price.
Love this video!!! Would deff like to see more like this. Also, if your pants have the "waist gap," I highly recommend looking up how to add elastic to your pants to help... It also makes them more comfy and eliminates the need for a belt!!
What makes the ASOS pair look like real jeans is the actual belt loops! I think they look super cute on you and you should totally rock them, but if that’s not your style, I think it would definitely be worth it to get them altered to your liking.

I thrifted some Liverpool By Los Angeles stretch jeans and they’re great! They do only go up to size 16 and are on the higher end of price. I also love my NYDJ jeans! I can’t believe Carrie didn’t try those. They only go up to size 18 (but you should size down for sure, so really size 20) and are on the higher end of price. They are fairly easy to find secondhand though, so I recommend getting them used if you can.
I know this has been mentioned in comments before but it would be awesome if you did a follow up video on any clothes you had tailored to show the process & final results! Even if you just mentioned them on the vlog channel instead of doing a whole structured main channel video 😊
Okaaaay universal standard! The asos ones would be too wide for me too but with your shirt they’re really giving Alloy magazine which is always a goal. Also would love to see a video about what you can get done as far as tailoring. I have several things that are too big that I have also asked “is that something that can be tailored?”
I have those Lucy and Yak jeans and I do find they dig in a lot over the day, especially when I'm bloated. I would also recommend the black Addison jeans over the blue - I had two pairs of the blue and they both ripped along the pocket seam in the same place after about ten wears (and if you look through the reviews this is a common complaint)!
Lane Bryant had a super cute elastic waist wide leg jean in the fall last year. I don’t see them on their website anymore but I LOVE them. They’re so cute and comfy and I always get compliments on them. I also have a pair of jogger jeans I thrifted and they’re super cute, too. I think pockets on the back are important!
I have a couple pairs of Democracy jeans from their "Ab"solution line and I love them. They look like regular jeans but they have an elastic panel on the inside waistband that make them sooo comfortable. I live in them. Unfortunately I think they only go up to a size 16.
I'm uk based but if you can get them shipped I'd reccomend the Simply Be 24/7 jean range. They don't look elasticated but they have a hidden elastic waistband in the back. The elastic is flat and not scrunched up so you can't tell! Also means you can size down when you have thick thighs and a smaller tummy. They sell some of their styles on asos I believe and they range from a UK size 10 to a UK size 30 🎉
Omg I am the tortured tummies dept, it’s me. I love the Lucy ones and honestly the Walmart ones. This is a fantastic video idea as someone that gets an upset stomach from anything tighter around my stomach. I asked my GI dr why that happens to me and he said it’s called visceral sensitivity? Basically delicate organs 😂 Which is a common IBS issue. I started wearing the Old Navy chinos more and that has been super helpful for my stomach

As a fellow neurodivergent girlie I cannot tell you how much I appreciate this video. I absolutely love the look of jeans and how versatile they are, but I cannot stand the thick rigid fabric, the button/zipper, and the non-stretch waistband. For me it's the tortured tummy & crotch department LOL. Even loser fitting/wide leg jeans are only mildly comfortable until you sit down, squat, or bend over - everything rides up into my crotch and my tummy is way too compressed. Can't wait to try some of these! Loved the first Levi's ones on you and surprisingly I really loved the ASOS wide leg ones as well!!
Aerie makes jean shorts very similar to the Universal Standard jeans you tried on. They are a stretchy fabric with a normal looking front and elastic in the back. You should try them out for the summer!
