Hello Suzanne! I am currently working on "Iris" by Myka Jelina. It is 51cm x 107cm. It's a big one. I'm only about a quarter of the way finished so this will take me a long time since I'm also working on Secret Admirer from Linda Howard Bittner. I will be hanging that one up as soon as I finish it. I started a new game watching today - kitting up Bingo!! It involves seeing how many of the colours you are kitting up are in the painting I’m working on. Luckily I was playing alone because I only matched five colours 🤭 Working on my Lazy Day from DAC, the bedspread maker is finally back from vacation and getting to work 😂

Hey Suzanne, first of all Happy Easter to you and your family. So cool that we kitted up a mystery painting at the same time. I'm doing the Josephine Wall Mystery Kit from Diamond Art Club. I decided on sorting the containers by symbols and not the way that I normally do (normally by DMC code). The first little section looks good and I must admit that my brain got used to the new method and the black/white symbols very quickly. Also with the colours on the DMC chart it's a little bit of a hit and miss with the names as the dye varies not only by company but it can also vary in one company. For example with DAC I had a lot of colours with the same DMC code but the dye varied a lot. Hope you'll have fun with your painting anyway!

@@stonemagpie thank you! Sometimes I think the colours are strange especially when they are named after wood ... I don't know special types of wood so I'm always wondering why there are so many wood-names 😅. With my mystery kit it works quite well😊. It's still disturbing my inner Monk that the DMC code is not in order 🧐🤓but I think for a black and white canvas it is better to have them sorted by symbol as this is the only thing you can refer to without having the legend nearby all the time🤔. So I think inner Monk has to get used to the new method 🤗

@@carinaerlinger I guess so many browns were difficult to name 🤣 I love that you have an inner Monk and I think I need a name for my inner thing - not Monk though, that's far too wholesome - maybe I have an inner Goblin 🤣 I hope your inner Monk is a quick learner and stops fighting the new method for you. Yay to new experiences.
