You’ve got lots of lovely progress… not too far off from a couple of finishes 😊 The first thing I saw when you showed your new HAED design was (not surprisingly) the polar bear 🐻❄️ Enjoyed spending time with you, I got another hour of diamond painting done 🎉😂
I’m so glad you have a surgery date. I am waiting for mine. It’s been quite a year health wise but without boring you, I was diagnosed with kidney stones in February and it was decided that I should have laser surgery because of my other major health issue and the size of the stones. May 30th happened but I had an infection so they put a stent in and sent me home with antibiotics. Then 11 June they went in but after working for an hour and only removing 30% of the 3.5 cm stone, they stopped and it has now been decided to do a procedure called PCNL so back on the waiting list. I was laughing at your chicken impressions. You must do those cross stitches, particularly F. Are you going to do diamond painting in the future? I hope so, and I am wanting to do more myself. I did my first DPing on a bookmark recently after a month or two of no painting. Medication had caused a major flare up of carpal tunnel. It’s calming down for the moment but I’ve started a new medication and now it is a wait-and-see scenario. I hope you shift goes well. Will you be far from your job?
Oh my goodness Christine, poor you. Sending lots of healing wishes your way ✨ I will be diamond painting again, how can I not when I have collected so many gorgeous kits, I just can't promise when it will be. Thanks for watching Christine
Omg help 😂. I bought this kit and mine is not sticky, stickers are cut crooked, but the is a symbol that I don't have a color key for. It is dark blue straight stuck and not a number 1. Contacted DAC and they won't respond😢. Anyone know what color number it may be...... Please
Hi Gloria, I'm sad to hear your kit had issues. Usually the DAC support team are very helpful. As for the symbols, if you pause my video at 33:05 you will be able to see the sticker sheet. I hope that helps and you enjoy your painting.
I’m with you on the EZ frame not being easy. I recently purchased a Nurge scroll rod and I’m so much happier! The tightening and relaxing of the fabric is so much easier ☺️. You’ve made great progress on your projects and love that you started your dragon project. I need to get a wiggle on and start mine from HAED.
It’s a lovely canvas and she is certainly very beautiful. Excited to see you work on her (in the future 😂), the moon is going to be stunning with all those ABs and fairy dust drills 😍
Not gonna lie, I think it would've been nice if a template for the design was provided for those of us that would want the same or similar design on something we wanted to decorate
Hi Holoinfinity. Thank you for watching and taking time to comment. Honestly I wouldn't know how to provide a template on RU-vid however if you pause at 12:37 then you can see the design and the workings out for how many diamonds of each colour you would need. I hope this helps.
Hi Imzeelda. Sorry about those naughty 2 drills 😂 ABs are when the drills are coated with a coating to make them shine different colours all at once depending on how the light hits them. I hope that helps and thanks for watching.
Hi Suzanne, lovely stitching as always 😊 Don’t give yourself all the work of restarting Libra, just frog the stars and pick something sparkly to stitch with, it’ll be fab 👌🏼 Thank you for the mention 🙏🏼 Happy June 🫶🏼🤩, Emma x
Hi Suzanne I would do a restart on Libra….. better to cut your losses now than invest more time into something you’re not sure about. It looks to be more than just the stars - the pattern picture has more gradients through the light patch in the sky. On camera the actual stitch of the light patch looks a bit “blobby”, if that makes sense. Of course, it may well less blobby in person 🙂 Lunar New Year is in February, so technically you’ll have 8 months of Dragon stitching in The Year Of The Dragon 🐉👍🏻 Oh my goodness, the heart pattern with the fox on it 😍 And the wildlife picnic is absolutely gorgeous!!! I think you should definitely stitch that 😁 Fox, owl, badger, cake, scones with cream and SQUIRRELS 😍🥰 😂😂
Hi Anthea, thanks for helping with the dilemma. One to ponder 😊 There were some gorgeous patterns in the magazines, really pleased with them.... And I seem to see squirrels everywhere 🐿🐿😂
Do a restart with quality materials. Why use inferior with such detailed Quality stitching. Sorry for being straight to the point. ..... as if i knew what i was talking about. You are great fun
Hi Aurora, not sure what you mean but all colours have different DMC numbers and names, some have a light, medium, dark or very dark version. I hope that helps and thanks for watching 😊
You should just do the restart for the Libra. I was in the same predicament, I couldn't decide to restart my project. I talked myself over and over that it's no big deal and just continue working on it, but evey time I would pick it up, it would bother me that the part that I worked on, it's not the way it should look. Finally I decided to restart and I'm so happy with it because now it looks like it's supposed to. It's worth the restart. It will always bother you until you start it over.
To convert into a diamond painting, just put some double sided tape onto the chart and adhere spare drills to that. When done mount onto board and frame. I have done this many times.
Hi Terri-Marie, thank you for watching and giving me your tip 😊 I have made charts before with thicker paper and double-sided adhesive so yes, I think you're right about how easy it would be to convert.
Been binge watching your channel and love it! I am stitching the four seasons also and think my hedgehog needs long legs also! Such. A fun "personal" touch.
Hi thank you so much for watching. This diamond painting was a joy to complete from start to finish and is now hanging in centre stage on my hallway wall 😁 Have you ever done a Josephine Wall?
Hi Liz 👋 ahhhh lovely Heidi, her videos are always fab so I'm chuffed you made the journey over here. Hopefully you saw something you liked. Are you stitching much at the moment?
Like the colorful village paintings. I liked some of Temu’s trays they had. So when I ordered diamond paintings, I added one or two to help give the packaging some stiffness so that hopefully the paintings wouldn’t bend when being shipped. I will probably end up with the whole set of trays, one by one.
Woohoo for a finish - well done 😁 Especially in such a relatively short time frame. I think it would be beautiful finished as a cushion….. but not one that Monty could sit on 🫢😂😂
Hi Anthea, thank you 😁 Absolutely no way M will be going anywhere near it! 🐾🐾 Soooooo I think I need to dig the old sewing machine out - probably once we move 😂 Thanks for watching and chatting earlier
What a gorgeous finish, it looks beautiful! I think it would make a stunning cushion and it's just the right shape. Will you be stitching on linen again? Love your new start, it's going to be stunning. I love one over one on 20 count aida. You're right, it's so delicate. I love live live your Four Seasons sampler!!! Can you tell me where you got the kit from? I have 7 wips at the moment, with a few more to start! Happy stitching for May, looking forward to seeing you again.
Hi Karen, thank you so much for watching and commenting 😁 I got the 4 seasons kit from Shein last year and I know they sold out. I have seen it on Amazon UK as a kit too. The link (affiliated) for that one is: amzn.to/3Unk8gH. I look forward to seeing your WIP progress on Insta, didn't you have a recent finish with Meadow Flowers 🌼 ?
@@stonemagpie yes, that's right, I did finish Meadow Flowers. 🙂 I often post my wips and finishes on IG. Thanks for the info about the kit, I will look at that.
I love your floss tube (even though I don’t actually stitch). I have the Ann Stokes owl in a diamond painting. Ive done half of it and yes it’s is full of confetti!
Hi Andrea, how lovely of you to watch my Flosstube too, thank you. I bet your diamond painting is bigger than this stitch will be 😂 I also bet it's a stunning piece. Thanks for the confetti warning 🎊🎊
I have several large projects going including Long Dog Samplers Pandemic. I have that one on a Nurge Scroll rod which I love when combined with my floor stand. Currently I have 8 projects I’m actively am working on with another 10 kitted up for when the new start bug bites 😂.
Hi Claudia, love Long Dog with all the details packed in and to have another 8 WIPs is great. Go you whooop 😊 Nice to have some already kitted so that it's easy to start the next, hmmmmm may have to do that too 😂
I'm working on a huge Heaven and Earth Designs by Aimee Stewart, called Treasure Hunt Bookshelf. Counted Cross Stitch. I have the Supersized Max Color. 239 colors and the finish project will be 3 feet wide and 2 feet high. Needless to say, I'm going to be working on it for a while. I'm hoping that I can finish it in one year. With the Pattern Keeper, I should be able to.
Very beautiful ❤. I'm working on two round diamond paintings at once as I work full time and do an aprenticeship additional to my job (time is limited and too many choices 😅😂). I normally work on projects based on a theme from an event 😊
Hi Carina, wow busy lady. Do you feel working to an event puts pressure on? Due to my currenty stress levels I think I need to be kind to myself and do things when I feel the need to - although I have just enjoyed a stitch-along 😊
@@stonemagpie sometimes when I have a lot going on it's a little stressfull. On those days I don't work on my painting and do more on it on a day where I have less stuff to do. So in the end it is balanced and I mange to finish my projects in time. To me this is a kind of positive stress (I'm that kind of person who is doing things completely and the way they need to be done or don't do them at all). I need this little kick in the bottom to get forward 😅
That is going to be so pretty. I have been working on Ye Old Stitching Room by Dreamer Designs. It’s going well but I feel that I might start on another painting that I have kitted up for a bit of a change. It sort of goes against my nature as I like to finish a project before going on to another. Anyway, I look forward to seeing more completions of your cake stand and I hope you find another house that suits your needs.
Hi Christine, thank you for letting me know what you're working on. I used to be a one-at-a-time girl however I would urge you to do another one at the same time and change it up a bit, it really freshens up the process. If you decide you don't like working that way then there's nothing lost 😊 Let me know how you get on.
Yesterday my psychologist said I should do one thing per day that made me happy and worthy, so today I started that painting I had kitted up. It’s going well but I have to take more breaks than I used to. But I think it counts🥰
Hi Tracy, any A4 double sided sheets will work. Here is a link (affiliated) if you'd like to use it and I'll add some other options in the description box. Thank you for watching and if you decide to have a go at making your own chart, let me know how you get on 😊 amzn.to/4d3Sb6m
I loved watching your video this morning. The Elephant Cakewalk kit is luscious! I hope you're enjoying your April start. Did you go for one strand or two? Whenever I've used 20 count aida, I've used one strand. You know, 40 count linen is the same size as 20 count aida so if you get along with the 20 count you don't need to feel intimidated by using 40 count for that squirrel!
Hi Karen, thank you, I'm pleased you enjoyed seeing my kits and charts. Not had chance to make my start yet and hands itching to do so, booooo to having to work 😂 I appreciate you letting me know about your one strand stitch and for the reminder about 40 count, it sounds alot of holes but actually may not be as daunting as I first thought. I hope you are enjoying your own stitchy pieces this week 🧵
I love your long legged hedgehog as well 😂 And I enjoyed your retro charts…… it just so happens that I have the booklet with the Woodland Fairy on the cover somewhere in my stash from my previous cross stitch obsession 😏 Love seeing how excited you are about your stitching. I think Jill had best start making another bag because it won’t be long before that one won’t be big enough for all your charts 🫢😂
