@tim sharrett really dismissive to write someone off as a "controlling psycho" for having insecurities and trust issues. I BECAME the "check your phone gf" because i've been in relationships with people who have broken trust and done sus shit. Your brain is being hijacked by anxiety because you're not secure and to relieve that you pretty much do what you think makes sense at the time because the stress is too much. luckily i made the decision to go to therapy and have healed those issues. just be empathic to people because you don't know what they're going through internally. And for her, he trust issues are just gonna get worse because her ex actually was doing sus shit and thats just going to feed the anxiety

But I think if you're at the point where you're purposefully hiding your actions it probably rises to the level of cheating because that shows you were doing something you realise the other person has a problem with. That gets a bit complicated when yu have a very controlling partner tho which is why I hesitate to label all flirting as cheating.
