Fracking is the cause of the homeless crises because the micro surface quakes are destroying the foundations of buildings in a much bigger area as currently thought and admitted by the operators. The vibration also erode shore lines and cause cracks on highways!
Fracking also caused earthquakes here in the Britain which is not on a known faultline and pretty much never got them before. Make of the what you will.
I'd like to think those who frac for profit are issuing these people their insurance to cover your breakages and cracks. Please don't reply saying they are not and they are charging you the same rate as they do to non-effected customers.
While there have been an increase of minor earthquakes in Oklahoma, residents claiming foundation damage due to earthquakes can't be completely honest. The truth of the manner is that the red clay that underlies much of Oklahoma has been causing foundation damage for years. This is one reason why basements and storm cellars are not common in this part of Tornado Alley. Also the roads in the state tend to become uneven and crack over time - anyone who has driven in Oklahoma can testify to that The red clay will shrink during drought and swell during rain spells. Oklahoma has seen both precipitation extremes in the last 5 years. So the odds that the cracks in the homes are "earthquake cracks" could actually be pretty slim given the minor magnitude of the earthquakes. However, if the ground has shifted underneath the house, it is totally conceivable that a small earthquake could have hastened the house's settlement.
Jared Gerard -- You sound like you work for an insurance company or you're a lawyer for the fracking industry. There seems to be more evidence of fracking (and fracking water disposal) related earthquakes causing damage than red clay causing the damage seen in this video. Red clay didn't make people's chimneys collapse or cause the earthquake increase in Canada, Oklahoma, Texas, and elsewhere, nor is red clay the reason they're worried about those oil storage tanks.
Wow. No one knows about the fracking process or it's dangers. 40 comments? That's it?!?! People need to be educated. With the war Russia has with Ukraine today and gas prices being insane, I understand all too well the need for cheaper fuel. I also know that fracking is just devastating for people and the planet. Is it really worth lower gas prices?
No but the issue comes when every solution involves more money/power for government which, as someone who has thought about alt solutions to issues like climate change, I have to admit I understand. The fact that politicians could gain so much from such bills makes me, and more people than you think, suspicious tho that their hearts are not in the right place, and even if they were you gotta remember these are politicians, not scientists, and they can be pretty easily convinced one way or another of something, regardless of what’s true
THIS IS LIKE ASKING "DO INBRED SMALL MINDED REJECTS VOTE FOR TRUMP?" GLAD WE LET SMALL MINDED MAGGOTS LIKE HARPER FUCK US ALL OVER BY KILLING US WITH OIL IN BENEFIT OF THEIR GREED... DISGUSTING FELLOW CITIZENS, YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED TO ALLOW THESE MAGGOTS TO CONTINUE THEIR DESTRUCTION.
+Brian Twardzik And you obviously know very little about fracking, what it is, how it works, WHERE it works, basic construction of well-bore, etc. Before you display your lack of knowledge with 4 little words, do some research. I merely copy and pasted the last response, because obviously you too know very little about the process.
+sublBS Wrong. And you obviously know very little about fracking, what it is, how it works, WHERE it works, basic construction of well-bore, etc. Before you display your lack of knowledge with 4 little words, do some research.
+Gerry Tracey Dueckman WRONG! Fracking works by shaking loose pockets of trapped gas by forcing a slurry of toxins into the ground. These toxins are present in the samples of the drinking water taken from the area, AND, there is huge quantities of decay gases dissolved in those aquifers. Fracking ruins drinking water, and no geologist will deny it!
Jared Gerard......seen you make opposite of reality comments before this one. How much do they pay you? You must be a Troll.....we know it has. They were suppose to put it below the water table. Guess it did not know it was suppose to stay there. Also we have a nuclear waste dump where the quakes are shaking.
Here is a partial list of the additives used in fracking, like thickeners, anti-bacterials, etc: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-G6N9eSMGyyc.html Also fracking causes earthquakes, many many earthquakes.
We put out a recent video about a large earthquake that occurred in Peru, close to where they were drilling for an oil well: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kRWENxdTTi8.html
Definitely not...but fracturing might...there is no such a word as fracking because there is no letter "k" in the word fracture...try getting a dictionary before you try to add letters to words that don't have them!
