Do GMO Plants Sing? 

There is so much scripture in this I can't even wrap my brain around it. When it comes to the plants and creation singing, scripture. The essence of identity as defined by our design, scripture.

There was a study done where tomato plants that were talked to through headphones grew more and were more active. It concluded that plants can "hear" us and respond. They also move towards the sound of water. I believe that they sense vibrations through sound and move towards the things they need(water, oxygen). So yes talking and singing to plants does help them grow. In sure there is more to it than that though. Plants are amazing they communicate with eachother underground and adapt to situations to survive. We are just beginning to understand how amazing they are.

Great experiment! It's wonderful to see that even GMO plants can be restored when they hear the song of a healthy plant. Suggestion for another experiment: check the DNA of the GMO plant at regular intervals, while still treating it with the song of the non-GMO plant, to discover if it heals itself and gets rid of the genetic modification.

It may be that when you first tried with the first plant, you put the clip on a leaf on one of the bottom stems, and that may have been why you got no sound.

The U1 device(the device used to make the sounds)creates the sounds by measuring the electrical resistance in the tissue of the plant and basically transforming it into music. What im saying is the gmo plant is either dead or modified to not do that.

Wow... how in the world did I end up on this part of the internet. Some people will believe whatever they want to believe when they don’t understand it to cope with reality as something comprehensible, something explainable by their logic. Reaching the conclusion that the first plant sang after it heard the other plant sing is quite an interesting phenomenon to explore. I would assume that they believe the plants ‘hear’ the sound frequencies, and therefore, responding to it, disregarding the fact that plants don’t naturally make these sounds coming out of a Logitech speaker. I can’t help but wonder their response if asked how the machine works, or how and why the plants make the sounds they do. I doubt the answer to be “i don’t know” but that’s just a speculation.

This is stupid. You could literally do this with a hotdog. The plant doesn’t control the music, it’s just the capacitance of the surface changing.

my friend and I watched and enjoyed the video but we believe that you falsely gratified your answer by not either putting the electrode on the original leaf or trying a different Leaf prior to allowing the other plant to play to see if the connection possibly was not strong and then make it strong and then allow it to play and then play the non-GMO plant otherwise we can't say that to plant learned from that plant until we know that the initial connection was met properly thank you do it again but this time do it right

Bad experiment. You should not have switched leaves on the first plant. This makes the results unreliable as maybe the first leaf couldn't transmit a signal.

Plants move water through their leaves by increasing the concentration gradient from top to bottom to aid in osmosis of water. From this it would stand to reason the electromagnetic impulses would be stronger if you were to measure from roots to a higher leaf, thus the increased pitch of the notes. But yes, it is true that the plant did not sing initially

I don’t really buy it: 1. GMO tomatoes no longer exist. 2. Plants don’t have a song per se, the machine simply uses the impulses from the plant to create a song by assigning a note to an impulse in a manner that sounds like a song. Therefore, all living plants must have a song. GMO or not. 3. Plants are not self aware, therefore they do not know that they are GMO by humans. 4. Plants do communicate, but it would not need such a device because they communicate in ways they can understand. The device would just be random noise to a plant. 5. Plants only grow with songs when humans sing to them. This is because, people exhale extra CO2 and promote growth.

I would like to see further testing on this. There are many variables that may come into play when it comes to this, soil quality, water in the soil, and what the relation is between plants health, produce quality, and the sounds it makes. It could be speculated without such research that a GMO plant just makes sound with longer intervals of silence, or that maybe the capacity to "sing" has nothing to do with the overall health and quality of the plant.

Count me as skeptical but this experiment needs a little help to be convincing. The GMO plant had a prettier song than the other one after listening to it's song. But they need a little work on their experimental design to make it believable.

So if I'm understanding this correctly, the plants cannot hear each other without this device... Right? If that's not the case, then, the plants can already hear each other therefore the device not playing, then playing after hearing the other plant is cuckoo. At first I was excited about this but after I wrote this long message and sent it to several people, some of whom I hadn't spoken to in a while, I got to thinking. The device not picking up any sound from the GMO plant, at first, but picking up the non-GMO All of a sudden gave the GMO plant hearing capabilities? I'm not quite understanding the logic behind this. Is this a joke? I mean, the concept and idea of it is exhilarating. I love that people are thinking about this stuff. But to say that the plant couldn't hear before being introduced to this device so that it could hear its friend is saying that the plants cannot communicate any other way. Is that true? Because I thought plants always communicated to one another. Is there some form of specific modification done to a GMO plant that removes some type of existence molecule or something? Like is there science out there that we don't really know about? I know they're science about what our tears tell us about why we are crying. But we don't hear about that on the news. That's pretty big stuff to me. Anyway somebody fell me in please! And don't just tell me it's a phenomenon of God. I want to hear the science behind it. Please and thank you.
