I don't understand why they cut them off after they're done answering the questions. It would be so much more interesting to hear what they have to say about the answers.
Jeopardy for idiots? Tell that to Wolf Blitzer. His shockingly dismal performance and lack of the most common of knowledge definitely set the ultimate decline of CNN's reputation into motion. The final shot of their scores was fucking hilarious.
@@Ty-vj4wg I'm a Simpsons die hard fan, especially seasons 3-7... I can't name another episode Conan wrote. The Monorail episode is on every top 10 list and widely considered a top 5. Easy guess.
Conan recently said somewhere that he and Andy aren't actually as close as he'd like and they have quite separate lives. It's hard to believe even after hearing from the man himself, watching this.
Maybe it's a good thing. I remember Penn talking about how he and Teller aren't as close in their personal lives and that's why they can work so many years together and not get sick of each other.
@@obnoxiousfaryas the question at 1:45 was what does andy find annoying about conan. he said it was conan never shutting up, constantly talking, endless babbling james joyce was an author/writer whose writing style was similar to how our consciousness is: an internal, endless monologue without punctuation or anything. unlike the proper sentences people usually write and talk in. the writing style is an attempt to mimic a character's thought process -- to show how chaotic and all over the place it is, instead of in neat and proper sentences so, andy is saying there are days where conan just can't shut up and stop talking about whatever. conan, in a witty manner, says he isn't endlessly babbling but rather is talking in a "joycean" way. he says this in a way to make his babbling come off as smart and sophisticated, thus why both of them end of bursting into laughter
@@perpetual_bias oh I see. I didn't know about this writer and his style. Thank you for explaining! But why does Andy say "talk about jerking off" after Conan said that? What does it mean?
Conan might have been the best Simpsons writer. Listen to the people that wrote with him and they all praise him. Yes, he only wrote 3 full episodes and the wrap-around for the Treehouse of Horrors, but 2 of his scripts are top 10 episodes. The monorail and Homer Goes to College should be on everyone's top 10 list.
extramedium1 conan actually got extremely famous when andy left the show in 2000, and by far, the best version of conan o'brien was between 2000 and 2009, I honestly think conan would have still have the tonight show if he was doing alone, not to disrespect andy, but when conan was alone, he was on fire .
Without Andy, Conan would not have been able to survive by himself when he first started. Andy was laid back and hilarious, and Conan was a bit nervous and jittery. I think Andy helped Conan ease up and that’s why Conan was able to get better.
As mentioned here, I also love the cameo work he's done in other shows. My all-time favorite is his one episode on Monk. Another fave where he is a semi-recurring character is in The New Adventures of Old Christine. He plays a very cringey guy but is SO FUNNY that I can enjoy it. 😂 (I'm one of those people who can't take cringe humor sometimes because it just makes me CRINGE too much even while appreciating the joke(s)! 😁)
You know how when two extremely talented/smart/funny (whatever you call it) people come together somehow in life, great stuff happens. Conan's show was an instance of this for me.
3:34 classic sync timing they did one of these way way back in the day that was ultimate dynamic-duo comedic brilliance....it was done after Andy left late night...check it out...its on YT
Expected this to be a video where they bring in random ppl from different points in their lives and they'd have to work out if they could remember that person or not
