@@IkkyAreannot sure if a lie can be a lie, if one does not possess the foreknowledge of the truth; or perhaps this is Pinnochio's personal belief in what is true to him alone? He truly believes consuming a soul will turn him into a real boy. Perhaps worse is that he is correct and spoke the truth. Consuming will do just that. Scarier to think of it that way.

A lie is preserved as a lie based on. Ur subconscious. He new he could wait making it a lie... but I'd he truly believed he have to consume his soul then there is no lie even if it don't work.. that would be called insane or crazy to believe something that's false to be tru.. many crazy ppl pass lie detectors for this very reason

the nose growing when he says “i cannot wait any longer”, while failing to grow when he says “i must consume --“ implies that he knows he doesn’t have to do it, but his lust for flesh vastly outweighs his loyalty to PaPa
I think you’re wrong on this one He could wait a little longer but he doesn’t want to him saying “i must consume your..” without the growth of his nose verifies a truth (him becoming a real boy if he consumes his soul) or at least his true belief that if he consumes him/papa he will become a real boy 🔆
@@Sunny-qm2ifbut in order to become a big boy he has to consume a soul, so saying he cannot wait any longer to become a big boy is the same as saying he cannot wait any longer to eat a soul, which is a lie so he CAN wait but his lust for soul outweighs his patience and loyalty to papa. so the og commenter is correct
I love the fact Pinocchio is pulling Geppetto so comedically slow not because he can't move faster but because he likes to take his time, hence why he lied when he said he couldn't wait
I like how Gepetto only sounds a mix between annoyed and concerned, not terrified of his likely end, just like "eh, if possible would like to live, also, wtf was that fairy thinking?"
This was really friggen funny. And it didn't even need the violent end, or anything REALLY grotesque like some of your other works (not that the art style isn't awesome in all of your cartoons) but this 1 shows how funny you can be, with a very simple premise, and nothing crazy over the top! I loved it. I'd love to see a full length cartoon more in line with this 1, were it's more about your verbal jokes, instead of "OMG, what did I just watch" reaction, and the humor is derived from how insanely over the top the cartoon is! lol EITHER WAY, LOVE IT!
This sounds like when you’re playing a horror game with your friends but everyone else in the house is sleeping so you have to scream quietly because the scream is funny but you don’t wanna wake your family up.

I sent the original video to a co-worker when it first came out. He came in the next day and said, "Why did you send me that? I didn't need to see that! Pinocchio isn't supposed to be terrifying!" 😂
Meat may have had other creations before thisone, but this truly is the first one to make him a household name. Which is fitting because like pinochio, the work is never done, and we cannot wait anylonger!
