I love how every instalment of Melvins Macabre deals with some really complex internal struggles that anyone feeling lonely and miserable has had to face at some point. Whether it's drowning out your mean-spirited thoughts with music, or buying useless toys to give a false sense of comfort, Melvin has to tackle these things and learn, despite having a long way to go. The first episode I saw was the earwax one, and as I was watching I kept wondering "how much of this is something Papa Meat has experienced?" Like a girl you like seeing how much earwax you had on your earbuds, and wondering if she noticed, followed by the horrible self talk afterwards. As goofy as it looks, I like what she show actually has to say. I also love to see Melvin turn into his "evil" self, when he gets all spiky and the world goes grey. the design of the character itself is very fun and the way he switches looks great. I'm excited to see more or these!
