If the coach ain't slipping when you gun it there's nothing wrong with it only time the court starts acting dumb as if it starts slipping if it's not slipping just ride it
@RandysRides

Seems to work perfect when warm. I wouldn't go new until there's an obvious problem riding it.

Bad clutch plates or maybe springs🤷‍♂️ easy way to tell if the clutch is slipping at all is to put in higher gear an full throttle👍you will feel if its slipping at all😎hope ya get her figured out🥂💨🇨🇦
@AnthonyFishervlogs
@AnthonyFishervlogs 2 года назад
I think it actually just needs to be adjusted I've been watching some videos and I'm going to adjust it for the next video loosen everything up Andrea just because it grabs really good and does not slip at all

I wouldn’t be worrying to much about it if it works correctly running and out on the road I’d be just driving and enjoying it if your gonna push it not running thats what neutral is there for
@AnthonyFishervlogs
@AnthonyFishervlogs 2 года назад
Yeah for sure I just want to have a clutch ready to replace if it was going bad but I'm going to ride as long as I can either way I'm going to adjust it and go from there I've been watching some videos on how to do it cheers thanks for watching

Mine is doing the same exact thing. It just start slipping under high torque. It seems like the trans just has to get past the first tooth or something bc when I start the bike and put it in gear it jumps forward and sometimes I have to push it back while it’s in gear for the clutch to work. I have a new clutch ordered. It’s super easy to do and fairly cheap.

Side note though are vstars just noisy bikes? My front thumper has a pretty wild tick/knock and sounds like yours

My Vstar did that too. But these are wet clutches, made to work with the oil. MY daughters Vstar was exactly the same. All you need to do is pull the clutch lever a few times while warming up. This expands/opens the clutch plates so the oil can get between them, and thus helps them have the proper friction properties. When the bike sits for a while the oil drains off, and simply needs to get re-applied to the clutch plates. Try this folks!

Dont adjust the cable man. Al that does is adjust the fiction zone of when the clutch bites.

My brother said that exact same thing! I'm not great with working on bikes. I really need to learn more.
@AnthonyFishervlogs

I did it just a little bit watched a few videos on how to properly do it it was a bit maybe 1/4 inch feels the same though
@shiftittwistit6677
@shiftittwistit6677 2 года назад
When you put pressure on clutch handle there should be like a 1/8 on a inch of play before it starts putting pressure on cable. That’s very little with not resistance. I’m sure you probably already figured it out though.
@shiftittwistit6677
@shiftittwistit6677 2 года назад
Also you can get a manual for your bike. It will tell you step by step for any fix on that bike. I forget the name but I bought one before for my gs1100 and I rebuilt the clutch myself. They are very good to have. They cost around 30 bucks. Anyways good luck.
@AnthonyFishervlogs
@AnthonyFishervlogs 2 года назад
Hell yeah man eighth of an inch of play I was watching some videos on how to adjust the clutch that's going to be my next video loosening everything up and readjusting
@shiftittwistit6677
@shiftittwistit6677 2 года назад
@@AnthonyFishervlogs I also looked at those manuals they are called Haynes. They are like 80 nowadays on Amazon. I ordered mine from Canadian tire a long time ago. At the clutch lever when you press it you should be able to fit a quarter in snug before putting pressure on cable. That’s what I went by and my clutch is working great now. Anyways it’s hard to know what to do from comments so good luck.

@@AnthonyFishervlogs Hate to leave all these comments, but I think you should have turned it in a bit instead of out. Somebody took it out and I think they did it a little to much. Try going back to where it was then go in. Ok lol this is my last comment. Take it or leave it lol

@@shiftittwistit6677 all good brother I love getting all the feedback and it helps to have lots of opinions I'm going to readjust the whole thing tonight properly I've watched a few videos on how to do it my buddies V-Star 1100 does the same thing as my bike so I'm guessing it's normal with these bikes
@waynecampbell9714

If the clutch is grabbing fine I wouldn't tighten it, it's just going to increase the friction and maybe cause future issues. My brother is saying this I'm not great with bikes. She sounds awesome without the baffles, maybe Tripp will stop busting your balls 😂😂😂. Cheers bro!

I wonder - when you pull in the clutch lever, how much does the other end of the cable deflect. We kind saw it in this video - but in the background. I had a friend who had a couple clutch discs stuck together after a winter sit, but I have also heard of the cable stretching and not properly disengaging (as was mentioned in last video) But, as mentioned below - it seems to work normal when engine is running - I haven't had a shaft drive bike in over 10 years, so I can't remember what was normal. adjust out.

Thanks for the video brother I have a 650 and it's been dying on my when I have the clutched pulled in at a red light or a stop sign is that a clutch problem or a carb problem?
@AnthonyFishervlogs
@AnthonyFishervlogs Год назад
Might just need to adjust the carbs
@JetwashF8TheHuntingGamer
@JetwashF8TheHuntingGamer 2 года назад
it is my guess that because it is shaft driven the power has to be on or the engine running for the clutch to work and is the clutch electronic? i have no clue about these things lol
@AnthonyFishervlogs
@AnthonyFishervlogs 2 года назад
It is a cable clutch same as chippy's bike we both have shaft drive cable clutch bikes but his you can push in gear with the clutch in while it's off
