Outstanding commentary. I’m searching for a lake or express cruiser, probably 26’-30’ and over 10 years old. After watching this video, I’ll definitely be including a survey as part of the process. Thanks so much!
We had a survey on our current boat.A few minor issues found. Test drive was good.Second time out one v drive failed. The fresh water plumbing started cracking all over the place etc. After another season and alot of work and and patience we have a pretty solid and reliable boat that we have enjoyed since. The survey told me weather there was wet spots or not but other than that it was useless unless you pay someone else for a full mechanical inspection as well. Which still wouldn't have found the bad v drive. Just my personal experience. Good thing I'm mechanically inclined and did all the repairs myself and got the boat cheap.
Although that does happen sometimes, the opposite tends to be true more often. When you buy a home, the purchaser pays for the home inspection, not the seller typically
