Something else you should mention, a battery can show a reading of 12+ volts and yet not have the power to start the engine, you also need a good amp reading which in this case is demonstrated through the load test. good video.
Yep. I really thought this battery was toast and had already picked which battery I was going to replace it with. Glad I took my time to charge overnight and test in the morning. It's been 3+ weeks and this battery has been perfect ever since! Saved myself a couple hundred bucks. Battery testers and multimeters pay for themselves many times over.
Ugh...I have to save up a grand for batteries for my electric bike....I topped them off with distilled water, but they're gone.... such is life, I suppose....lol Cheers !! :)
@@RandysRides I know in a traditional internal combustion engine vehicle lead acid battery, you can get a dry battery and distilled water won't work, but battery acid will (and is cheap) but I have no idea how it works in electric vehicle batteries. Sorry :(
@@YouMotorcycle Hmmm....If it's cheap, I may have to give it a try. It sure would be nice to have more time to save for new ones. My bike takes six 72 volt, 32 amp batteries...150 bucks a piece....arrg But, thanks for the suggestion...I'll definitely try it. :) :)
