Pylori and prescribed to take (Pantoprazole SOD DR 40mg tab 2x aday, Metronidazole 500mg tablet 1 tab every 8hrs, Doxycycline Hyclate 100mg 1tab every 12hrs., Bismuth Subsalicylate 30ml 4x a day. I am somewhat afraid to take it because i have vertigo (taking Meclizine for it) and depression/anxiety (theraphy, no meds.). I'm afraid of the side effects but bacteria must be eradicated. I just ended the 14 day antibiotic with different meds for H Pylori. With endoscope and a biopsy I was diagnosed. So now I wait for one month to test and see if meds worked. I can tell you I had bloating, acid reflux, stomach cramps very bad. Now I take a proton pump inhibitor, a probiotic and I can tell you all symptoms have gone, oh and I had severe gastritis, hoping I got wiped out.

Thank you for the video. My 7 year old has been waking up in the middle of the night with vomiting a stomach pains. 5 separate times about a week a part. After she vomits everything up, she’s back to normal. I got bloodwork done, her wbc was 21.4, waiting for a stool sample to come back. Hoping it is only h.pylory and nothing more serious.

I had an endoscopy/colonoscopy and the report said I had chronic gastritis and an unknown bacteria that may be H. Pylori, they didn't know. From the day of the scope, I was left with pain in my upper left. It went on for a year and when my doctor checked the report and saw the unknown bacteria and did the H. Pylori breath test. It showed traces so I was treated but wasn't retested. The pain continued every single day. Then it started spreading to my right side. I was DX with NAFLD. But then that pain persisted and continued to get worse. Both sides spread into my back and shoulders. I required a total hysterectomy 10 weeks ago and it all went downhill. For the timeline, we are at 4 years of untreated pain. Since the surgery, I lost my appetite. At first, I thought I was just eating regular portion sizes until I was eating a tablespoon of food to nothing at all. When/if I can eat I get full and stay full for days. When it passes through my stomach every three days I get extremely sick. I sweat like crazy and the pain is so bad I almost cry. I have lost 18% of my body weight. My doctor told me not to be scared and is ordering the tests. She said she needs to be upfront with me. I am not scared of it. I'm angry. I advocated for myself going to my doctor over a hundred times! I left EVERY SINGLE APPOINTMENT saying I guess we should be thankful that whatever it is is slow acting because if it was aggressive, I would be dead. And here I am. She had me on a long-term PPI to keep my cancer risk extremely low but she stopped it so she could "start over" trying to figure me out.
Sorry to hear your long history of pain and agony for years. I don’t think H PYLORI WAS the cause. Also NAFL doesn’t cause pain. I hope the did an ultrasound or CT scan of the abdomen. Other possibilities is SIBO

I Just Had a endoscopy and colonoscopy about a week ago and got positive for h Pylori...supposedly i have chronic inflammation since i got crohns but no symptoms i feel good. I got prescribed Levofloxacin 500MG , Amoxicillin 500MG to take for two weeks and omeprazole which i used to take often but I don't really since I don't have the symptoms I've felt before like stomach pain and discomfort. Are all these 3 things safe to take ? I'm afraid of how strong the Levofloxacin is and what I read about it so I don't want to take unless is needed with my situation and what I mentioned.

So why did they do endoscopy? Is you stomach pain or indigestion or heartburn or bloating then you should take it

Thank you for clarifying that the medications I got to take is safe i was scared at first based off reading people's experiences with them. But it's already about to be a week tomorrow since I took it and i been good besides the first day I felt kinda weird but after that I been good. The reason they did the endoscopy is because they wanted to follow up in regarding since the last endoscopy and making sure that everything is good. This endoscopy they took Biopsy and found stains in my stomach so I had the report of having positive H Pylori so that is why I am taking the Medications and I believe it has to do with Indigestion because I Don't have no stomach pain or heartburn and bloating at all. All I can say is because my Esophagus is curved my pipe for it I'm guessing according to the doctor i Don't digest food normal like others so sometimes it stays stuck.

Normally we treat it and after 1 month will repeat the breath test or stool test definitely not blood test to make sure the bacteria is gone. Also if the pain continues you might need endoscopy. I have fibromyalgia and just want to eliminate h pylori in case it is causing my symptoms. Is breath test enough or endoscopy provides a better diagonosis?

Hi Doctor, Thankk you for the video, I have all the symptoms from H Pylori and was diagnosed initially for an ulcer without doing an endoscopy and I was taking Nexium for 2 months then I tested for the bacteria by a blood test and it came back negative. Could this negative have been a false negative since I was taking Nexium? I am better in terms of pain, reflux and nausea but I have severe loss of appetite. The loss of appetite is what made me suspect it is H Pylori again.

When my gastritis attacked I consult some doktors and they always gave me omeprazole. I feel better with this kind of medicine but I got another problem and it is my bowel movement.

Respected Dr. Amer, I have hiatus hernia and in my endoscopy the result said rut poistive and the test turned pink a little too.But also in my result it was written Sample:Not taken.I took the result to Dr and he mentioned nothing about h pylori and said i should get surgery for hernia.The biggest problem of mine is constant bad breath.Other than that i occasionally have heartburn and stomach pain.But my biggest cornern is bad breath although i also have constant bloating.Can you tell me if my bad breath is caused by hiatus hernia or h pylori? A lot of times we don’t find a cause of bad breath. Simple cause is food stuck In between teeth so you should floss regularly after food. Helo doctor , i did endoscopy,i am h pylori positive , doctor recommended antibiotics for 14 days .i took antibiotics for 3 days continuously but on my 4th day in morning i took antibiotic and started vomiting.i don't know why can't I bear to take antibiotics ,my stomach is very weak .i don't know how to treat it now , as i can't bear to take antibiotics.Also i can eat food normally during day but not in morning .if i eat something in morning ,i get diarrhea and bitter mouth ,also little pain.

Normally is very easy to treat with antibiotics. Ideally they need to do stool culture in order to know which antibiotics to use. Good luck to you

I took amoxicillin, clarithromycin, and omeprazole together after the results of H pylori and I felt headache, fever, chest tightness and pain lungs area also heart burn. what’s ur suggestion to ur patient if they have this kind of symptoms.
Some of your symptoms like fever is not related to the treatment but definitely the heartburn and pain can be side effects from the antibiotics. I recommend taking the antibiotics after food and definitely omeprazole twice a day.

Doctor - I have been diagnosis’s with H. Pylori and have taken antibiotics for 2 weeks, however after the medication I don’t feel any better as I’m still burping and belching excessively throughout the day, my next stool testing is scheduled in 3 weeks but meanwhile I’m worried the antibiotics are not working for me, any advice is greatly appreciated. 2 years passed 3x times took antibiotics now got gastritis and pain on right side did MRI gallblader, liver, and other organs are not problem. Probably It damaged my small intestine on exit of stomach so reflects more on right. Im so desperate. Natural medicine helped me to lower it froom 7 to 3.85

Ideally they are supposed to repeat the test like breath test and not endoscopy to make sure the bacteria is gone. If you are feeling down it is possible that you have depression. I'm having bacteria problems. but my Dr doesn't wanne prescribe me antibiotics now my belly colon part is very swollen 😫 Last year the emergency dr in another hospital git me antibiotics it worked without a doubt. after 6 mths it's showed up again .
