I started watching RU-vid fishing videos to live vicariously through people who catch massive fish. Somehow ended up with my favourite videos being from lads who never catch anything 😂
congratulations on the wedding I would love that peg the bottom of my garden I managed to get out fishing yesterday for the first time in 12 months 007 is back 0 bites 0 fish 7 lost lures
Ginger, the swan MUST be called Ginger! Love the bants, guys, purest natural Brit humour, it's what we's good at, ain-it? Sun is actually shining here in Cornwall, could spring be on its way???
You're living the dream mate.. we all want a peg at the end of the garden fish or not and we all need a mate like Sean. Looking forward to your first fish nearly as much as you!
Dude don’t give up your so lucky to have what you’ve got just keep trickling the bait in every night and you’ll have the best peg for sure keep up the awesome work and thank you for bringing fishings fun side out. Simply awesome
Congrats! 🎉 I said to Ken (my OH) that I hadn't seen anything from Tom for a while. He said "who?" I said "yer know, Snagged Bro" he still looked puzzled. So I said "yer know, the daft one with the beard"... and that worked! Unsurprisingly 😆
Another great video guys! Best fishing duo on RU-vid! Loved the Snagged Bro dart flights! 🎯 You should add those to your merch collection! Thanks again for the video. Can't wait for the next one!!😁
Nice one fellas. A tactic to avoid the Swan problem is to do your prebaiting at night as that is when the swans might not be as active and you should beable to get you feed in the water without them seeing it. And then to try night fishing for the Tench because fish like Tench are often predominantly night feeders and are often easier to catch at night, especially on venues that have clear water. These are all tactics that have worked for me on difficult waters for me in the past. Eitherway nice one lads, loving your vids. Cheers. Mick.
Agreed and also find on the clear waters running something like a chod with a neutral weight bait so it'll sit on top of the weeds instead of between them seems to work well on some of the tougher weedy waters. Had a couple of 7lb tench last year using this exact method on waters with known good tench that were fishing badly. Tight lines gents 👌
What I'd try to do and maybe not an easy task is to try drig out an area just off your peg to create a deeper area in the canal that might hold the fish more as it seems its really shallow outside your peg and creating a hole might hold the fish better as there passing
Love your videos. I like seeing the similarities and differences of fishing in the states. The main one is I don’t usually have to try to catch pike here!
First off Tom, a massive congratulations on the wedding, Even If You don't catch on the Peg. You have already hooked a beauty. You will catch on the Peg, and they will all be doubles on the pro angling Club. I wish I had a Peg at the bottom of my garden. Cause I have to walk to the river or pools, And I have to carry everything with me. And at the end of the day. I have to look forward to that same long walk home. So to go out of the backdoor, walk a few yards to a seat and fish all day and maybe night, Is a lottery winning dream. And You and Sean are living that for us. Can't wait for the next episode. Keep 'Em Coming.
Congrats on the wedding Tom you looked propper dapper old chap, keep that raking up, at least once a fortnight until about the end of May, it should leave a nice clearer spot when the weed starts, you will then have a clear patch with weed all around it to fish-to, try and get hold of one of those solar airators, just a cheap one and get it out at the end of your peg. A wise old man once said to me "Prepair it and they will come" Well I think that's what he said, we were in prison, i was in a headlock, and I did wake up quite sore the following morning.
I didn't realise how lucky I was to have a river at the bottom of our garden, until I read all these gealous comments. I've 'only' caught roach and minnows until now, but you've made me feel better about that! Hope you get a fish soon!
congrats on married life and it will come good soon when we took over the third lake in our club it was very slow and steady for the first 2 years we had about 30 fish come out which when we stocked it with 200 small carp was a worrying sign, we kept up with the feeding and eventually they settle in and now they are breeding and coming out frequently as well. Once you start seeing a group of silvers you will come good, rivers stretches can be tricky. My advice is make it as inviting as possibe and maybe get some lillies down your left side under the branches for a bit of rest, i think lillies bed are the easiest way to encourage the fish in and to keep them there with a spinkle of food also a good patch of lillies stops the swans from getting down to the food.
Oh YEAH!! Here I am binge watching older videos, and a new one just come up like a genie! Get In! Now I know I am late to the party, but are there a spot on the Angeling Club for an old dude from Norway? I have no Idea how many fish I have caught in my life. It's been a few during 37 yeares. I LOVE you videos, I envy you that peg so badly. And I have som ideas about things to do to maybe make a difference in there. And CONGRATULATIONS on your wedding! That's awsome! Bob! The decoy needs to be named Bob. It means bright, and the decoy is boyant. Yeah! That peg is sick! I could never have such a thing. I would get absolutely nothing done. I'd be planted down there.
Just fyi my local canal gets muddy in the winter/spring get on some spinnerbaits for the pike and if coarse fishing chopped worm over breadcrumbs 👌 praying for u tom
It’s the waiting game but you will catch fish in your garden peg you just got to keep trying don’t give up night or day good luck mate love your vids 👍
There’s a nice spot near where I live that is very convenient to get to but it doesn’t fish the best. A few guys started baiting up with mackerel heads they got in bulk over a period of weeks and it really brought the fish in. Swans won’t eat them either
lol… Awesome video. I would love to have a house backing down on to a river. I woud be throwing the float tube in and heading up the river chucking lures😊🎣
Congrats on the wedding.. Now that's done more videos of you pair please... Call the decoy 'Ron swanson' if unsure watch parks and rec. Best character out there.... 😂
Obi, as in Obi-Swan Kenobi. Fish a small feeder tight to the far margin. As there aren't many features in your swim with depth, That bank will be the main patrol route for the fish passing through, by baiting that area up youve got a chance they'll stick around for you to catch.
Positive Mental Attitude! I've the tidal Trent that rips through with a 5 metre tide in my back garden. Most of the time I can't hold bottom with a 6oz lead and I've caught from there. You can do it! Must be my SB cap and glasses that help me. I've noticed you guys aren't wearing yours! Get them on for good luck!
Love your content. It's not always about catching. it's about trying and spending time with friends and family and enjoying yourself being at a lake river or canal and blanking is far better than being at work! Unless you fish for a living 😂😂
Lol ,love it ,, after fishing miles of canal in brum kiddy stourport for years. I never figured out why some stretches fish well other are dead maybe the fish hold where natural food thrives , blood worm etc and stay there , only god knows ,,, congrats on wedding son , defiantly punching there lol😅😅😅😅
Only just found channel so subscribed. (The Swan swang it for you) always thought a decoy was to attract others of its own kind, silly me . Well, I hope you christen your garden peg before to long.
as cool as having a garden peg is, you guys should do a UK road trip hitting different rivers, lakes or even fisheries along the way. would love to see that
Keep at it dudes 👊 I’m sure all the hard work will pay off 🎣 Maybe try a night session once the weathers warmed up a bit 🌡️ Tench & Bream feed more confidently at night than through the day 🌅
Congrats Tom to U and Ur Good woman 🙏 Quality vid lads A's always Sneaky tip for the tench...get Ur self bulk frozen blood worm.. large brandling on hook...FFS am doing a Ginger guide move 😂
I know exactly where your peg is. My parents live on the towpath side opposite. Used to fish there when I was a kid. You’ll never hold a shoal there. Worms for perch when the water warms up a bit. Freeline maggots/casters for roach in the summer months. Towpath side further up toward the park opposite the willow trees best spot. Big carp trundling up and down occasionally.
