Wow, great video. I have ridden now for over 40 years. Raced for over 25 years. In my honest opinion the R3 is the Best new bike for the beginner riders, I have 4 BIG bikes and I still have a R3. The R3 will make you a better rider even well after you upgrade to a 600 or 1000 cc bike. If I was you...Never sell your R3. Keep it even after you buy a bigger bike.
at the moment im dailying my r3... i have been since february & i feel like learning quick is totally doable if you put the seat time in... r3 is super forgiving and more than quick enough for street and highway use
Riding an R3 or any 300cc bike will make you a better rider. I've mastered my R3 enough to keep up and even ride faster than 600's and liter bikes in the canyons. I Miss My r3, but I needed something with more power on the highways
Been watching your videos for a while now, convinced me to get an R3 passed my MSF course with a perfect score. Been riding for about 2 weeks now the R3 is an amazing bike! Thank you for your content! If you're a new rider and want to start on an R3 do it its the best starter bike in every way imo. Its great for commuting and super agile.
I appreciate all your videos they are always full of good advice. I bought my r3 after watching your videos I almost went with the ninja 6, but then I found your videos and the r3 was the best decision I made with your help so thank you.
I started on a 650, and to be honest I’m considering getting an R3 as my second bike cause these small bikes just seem like a lot of fun to ride. More power doesn’t mean more fun 👍
I have literally just had my R3 for a year like a few days ago. And i just got my full motorbike licence. Passed yesterday. Been riding since 2005 mostly dirtbikes. And now after learning so much from the R3 im gonna sell it and buy something more powerful. I will admit that even though i have loads of experience riding, i was still able to have fun on the R3. Its a ball to ride. Its playful, its quick, but not fast. Smokes pretty much any average car. But honestly people think that because they started on an R6 that it was a good decision, meanwhile they are losing out on learning all the things that R3 riders learn. They can ride the bike from point A to point B without falling, thats it. In terms of techniques, they have none. Throttle control, proper braking, counter steering, counter balancing, slow speed maneuvers. Thats all neglected and these guys can only go fast in a straight line. R3 rider will graduate riding the low CC bike with tons of experience and loads of techniques that will be able to out-ride any guy that started on a 600
I really don't plan on moving up to a bike that can go 190mph so the R3 is the perfect bike for me. Unless you're a racer, or one of those guys who like to film themselves going insanely fast on public roads (daily 100 dude) then what's the point of moving up from a nice bike that's fun as hell on the twisties and can still top out at over 100 mph.
You have great videos bro! I bought an 2020 R3 with zero experience and your videos helped me with a lot !! The R3 is a great bike. I do look forward to getting the R7 next year
After considering buying a R3 I was looking for video's about the R3 and found your channel, thank you very much for these. The video's convinced me to buy the R3 and I love the bike totally. It's my first bike again after having no bike for the last 20 years.
I bought a new 2021 R3 in August, never rode a motorcycle before. I’ve learn a lot of stuff while learning to ride. I’ve put 700 miles on it already and I love the bike.
Hey, I just wanted to thank you for the videos on the R3. you helped me a lot deciding which bike I should buy and ride. I look forward to watch your videos about how to ride it in 2 weeks when my R3 arrives. Greetings from Switzerland
Great video man, I was a fool who was about to just hop on a GSXR-600 for my first bike ever and between you and another RU-vidr you guys have me sold on the Yamaha R3, Thanks for the good content man!
bro a R3 is still a dope bike, some people just dont know what there talking about, and its fast too bro the people that are saying that an R3 isn't fast enough i bet they dont even have a bike/
I’m going to get an R3 as my first bike before the year ends and all of your vids have been so helpful in the process, I don’t even have the bike in my hands yet and I’m already in love with it! Love the uploads! Thanks a bunch!
Never understood the hate for the yammie 300. I got the mt and mine rocks too! Lots of love for this platform. I rode yer bike too, my buddy's r3. Same power and such a bike. Stay safe out there! 😎
I don't think it's really about the bike you start on but the price you roll out the door with. These dealers up charge the sh*t out of cheap starter bikes like the R3 and 400. The prices these people roll out the dealer with they could of had a much better bike. That freight and prep to rip plastic off a bike and put air in the tires is ridiculous. It's almost 20% of the bike itself. They rip off new riders and people end up buying bigger bikes sometimes because they want more for their money and dealers are willing to cut prices on bigger bikes because they don't move as quickly. Then these new riders get hurt because on their new bikes because they're still just "new riders".
I Just bought this bike. I have 2 much bigger bikes, I use this has a quick go around town bike. The other bikes I use for longer rides. Or times when I want some power, I have options. This is a real great little toy. It is also a great beginners bike. This bike is harder for me to get into trouble with speed, and power. I really like this bike
I started on a 2019 r3. Great bike. After 3 months I kinda grew out of it. Now I have a s1000rr. And I can say I would love to still have my r3 because it’s a great training platform. Torque is great. Speed is great. Gas mileage even better. So for all of you that are wondering what to get. Get an R3 or a 600 if you have experience.
I am considering getting a 300cc bike. Which one should I get? Kawasaki ninja 300 or Yamaha r3. I prefer something reliable, cheap to maintain and for general commuters. Sometimes road trips. Thank you ☺️
@@nolanjordan9088 bro honestly it's a hard choice, but I think the body and the style of the r3 just does a little more then me even tho the ninja has some more hp
Been awhile since checked in on ya. Looks like you feel the same as I do. R 3= TOO MUCH FUN!!! At. 61 years young, I just got off my R 3,and had a BLAST!!:) ,One guy made the comment below, on the riding position, You sir will be fine!! and will be glad u got this machine. Hi, new to your channel. And you’re a sensible rider really giving right instructions to new riders. I too am in motorcycling as long as you’re, and I started on an R3. Still riding it. My question is, if you were to upgrade, what cues you’ll look for in your riding that will tell you, time for a bigger bike. Thanks mate.
Hey, just found your channel. In your opinion, what is the braking like on your r3. I’ve heard the brakes are really loose. Also, if they are abs it would be much worse. Is yours abs? I’m looking at getting this or the ninja 400. Keep up the good work!
Great video, I'm looking into getting a starter bike, it's £5780 22plate. I was thinking of 600cc but it makes sense to make the decision you made, and what makes me lean more to R3 is you still buzzing a year after. Will this bike be comfortable on a motorway at 70mph for 30/40 minutes drive? Appreciate your thoughts and answers. 👍🏻 Great video.
I don’t know if you’ve made a decision yet, but I can comfortably get up to and cruise at 80-85, then when bent down can get up to 105 relatively easy. It has plenty of power for commuting, you would only really want more on the track
Do you think a honda cbr 500rr just the 500 cc class even though you never tried the bike do you think its a good motorcycle to start off with? Planning in 2024 to get my 1st motorcycle! Just curious on your opinion Icy Lyf3! Hope you see my message! Thank you!
I've been riding for just about three months on a 650 cruiser. I'm already wanting something like an MT-07 or R7. I'd probably sell the cruiser. Or, I could get a less expensive R3 and keep the cruiser! But I kind of want something a little more zippy (like the MT-07 sound too). Although, you say the R3 is zippy enough? As I'm in my 50's, I'm not sure if I'd like being crouched all the time on a sportbike though.
# Very useful, sensible and helpful review. , I'm a beginner motorcyclist, my first bike at age 48 end am small 166cm, I drive daily to work in the city and also the highway( Commuting) and sometimes during a weekend round of recreational so, is a good option for me? Is this bike good enough and usually commuting friendly? or invest in big bike 650cc or something like that Any way great video Be safe
every idiot who's saying 300cc is not enough rides on roads like he's on a fckng track and sooner or later he or whatever left of him end up in a fckng coffin
Wanna laugh, stop by the channel. Last video I posted yesterday, my MOM 😅 sat on the bike. She hasn't made it 20 steps since she's been handicapped and it was stupid fun.
