so just a tip when you're doing swerving like that last test: rely more on leaning the bike over to turn instead of turning the handlebars. the turning will be much smoother and easier. Just keep on practicing and keep the videos coming. There aren't realy any other youtubers with r3's and you make great vids
@@cellanddanielleI’m not a rider. I’m not a woman. I have seen a believe 2 women riding it and they appeared to be on the smaller side. I’ve been looking to get the R3 cuz I’m a small man in terms of mass lol. 5’ 10” and 129 pounds. I don’t have a need for a fast bike. But from the dozens of videos I’ve watched it appears to be one of the more agile of the beginner group. It’s 375 pounds. I think you should go sit on one. It’s got a pretty low seat height. I sat on it very well. You might be on your tip toes so I’d suggest going and sitting on them to see if it’s comfy for you.
Just from my experience with the MSF Course, the U Turn is a combination of using friction zone, looking through your turn and using your back break. Keep the videos coming bro I’m getting my r3 in February or March!
In addition to what mike said applying lots of force to the outside peg will help keep the bike up “Counterweight” just thought I would mention this for anyone taking the test.
U turn... Foot Brake half of turn gas coming out of turn. Swerve... More lean less turning of your bars bro. Nice vid brotha💯 Keep it up! StY safe and happy riding!
Great job man, to young to get a bike but can’t wait to be old enough, planing on the same bike. Can’t wait to see your channel grow keep up the great work!!
Congrats bro! I took a beginners course it was a 2 day thing but the instructors were super cool. Like you i was super nervous at first but after the 1st day it was super fun! Ride safe!
Lol. I passed with an 10 as well at my MSF class. The test is actually harder than it seems. Whew! 😰 passing is passing whether you do with no points or borderline of 10...
In my MSF course, when it comes to maneuvering around objects, I learned to keep my posture upright and just give a gentle push on the handle bar (left) to go left and (right) to go right and the bike will swerve in that direction.
After watching this you helped me to get a r3 to restart. Been almost 13 years since my last ride so I’m gonna relearn myself before the test. And the way gas prices are going I’m getting back on to a bike.
In Montreal, we have to do a full course to be able to ride. I found that bikes like Rebel 500 were much easier to move around than little sports bike like the R3. Also, when you do a tight turn, to get more stability, use your friction zone, give light throttle, look up, far and where you want to go. It helped me a lot. You can do counterbalance with your body as well. It gets soooo much easier when you use all these technics believe me! I hope these tricks will help you as much as they did for me! Keep the videos coming bro!
Long time rider but went to MSF with my daughter so we could do it together. I do U-turns all the time. However, I was still nervous I’d mess it up. I made it and daughter passed. She had this same bike waiting on her at home. I love that thing. Super fun
Great video! I just took my skills test in dmv here in CA and it's a big difference from Idaho. I did not pass the 1st one and I am going to take a 2nd attempt tomorrow. Big thumbs up on your video!! 👍👍👍
What were the tips the instructor gave you? You clipped that out of the video. Love your videos, it's nice to see your progression from 0 experience. Keep Vlogging Hill!
I was nervous just watching lol But I never been good w/ test & performing orders that were just giving to me. After they’re given to me. 😂 Right on champ! He was really lenient were I’m @ that/try would of failed me. The lines are confusing ( no more big red cones?) anxiety,& sometimes u go blank after just getting instructions. Sort of like over studying TIP- give your throttle.15-.20 og turn & control ur speed w/ your clutch. Congratulations.
@@gh0st271 I done, did the same thing. It’s easy but the way it’s set up it makes it hard. Again specially if you’re someone like me that is focused too’ much on doing good to were I mess up. In school the same, I would “ Over Study” & the next day I’d be like WTF? Everything just went blank, like I didn’t study. Anyways congrats. Stay safe! Peace & Blessings. Sgk23Tv Dxiego
"Better to ride a slow bike fast than a fast bike slow" I like that, earned yourself a new sub with this video. Stay safe and keep uploading with the R3
He is actually right about that. I have super fast bike and it was boring to ride the fast bike slow but had too because first bike and no experience. I am okay now- o practice the hell out of that 600RR bike. Found an empty parking lot and just practice for hours. Get R3 as your first bike because it more forgiving and you won’t fall from the bike like I did and had to fix it.. which could be pricey. It’s fun to ride slow bike faster than fast bike slower... it’s so true.
This looks intimidating when it's just you. In the MSF course it's you and a bunch of other noobs. So when they screw up you look even better even when you have no idea what you're doing. The real bonus is you ride one of their bikes so if you drop it or tear it up you don't have to worry about a thing. I swear in my state though they'll give anyone an endorsement if they take the MSF. I recall in my class they gave one to this girl who couldn't pass a single test. The rest of us were shocked.
You wouldn't have messed if you weren't recording. Its the mind. This thing happens so often with musicians i.e. as long as we play any stuff that we have played hundred times a day and not recording, its all good but as soon as the record button is hit, the same piece we have played for months hundred time a day, gets messed up.
Sorry for seeing this late, but I’m thinking of getting a Yamaha r3 for my first bike. I wanted to know what the permit allows you to do? And is it just a written test?
Haha dude I love bikes and what they are all about takes children away from violence and getting Into the wrong crowd And dylan when you make your discord r u guna be looking for admins I would love to apply (:
