Do I Regret Cutting My Locs? 1 Year Later 

i’ve had my locs for 3 years now. I just wash them separate my sections and put them in two strand twists. I wanted them when i was younger too because my parents always made me get the number 1 bald cut🤦🏾‍♂️. I feel what you’re saying about working and having hair in your face lol. I’ll probably cut them if i go into the military though. I dont care what people say about locs being unprofessional,(dreadful) or whatever so i’d never let another person make me feel a type of way about my hair.

I have dreads I’ve been growing them for about a year and some months but I might be cutting them this summer just to restart and grow my hair again

Can definitely relate to the maintenance part. That's the reason I'm getting rid of mine.

I’m white so I never had dreads but grew my hair about the same length yours was at for the same reason about looking cool under my helmet but I cut it to look more profesional in college. Definitely miss it all the time but don’t regret it because I can look fresh in 1 minute compared to hours when I had to wet my hair, brush it, then let it dry

If you freeform you do not need to retwist.

I had mine for a year and a half and I just cut it yesterday. It didn't turn out the way I wanted so I had to shave the whole thing. Ughhh the pain im feeling

had mine for 6½ n cut mine 4 tha same reason also some started poppin had to abort before they baalded me n took me out da GAME 😂

I have always wanted dreads basically for the same reasons you wanted dreads but I know it’s a lot of work but when I grow up Imma grow my hair out whether it’s for dreads or some other haircut Also we gon need that wave check 🌊

I just cut my braids off and it feels great but in the same time weird since I been having them for 2-3 years

Hey bro if you kept your locks they can be reattached via a crochet needle. You should look into it.

had mines for 8 almost 10 years,locs are maintenance in itself plus my hair person was always a bit absent.........i felt it was time for a change

Keep them after you cut them you can always reattach them.
