My daughter got me one of these for christmas. At first I was thinking why do I need another croc pot that takes up so much space. Then I saw the proof feature......this has changed my whole bread making process. mix your dough, proof for 30 minutes, punch down, proof another 30 minutes, then bake for 30 and you have amazing bread in 2 hours. For me it was worth it just for the proof feature. Now Sous Vide....hmm I have to try that.....
Good review Mike. Instead of having a high, low and keep warm setting, they should just have a temp up and down setting similar to the sous vide settings so you can dial in your own desired temps instead of pre-sets.
That’s an interesting thought, brother. I suppose I could even try to use the other settings and see if it had any sensors that would prohibit that. Thank you for watching and supporting me!
Just picked one up at Costco today cause I'm coming a whole chicken tomorrow. Glad to hear that I picked a good show cooker, cause honestly, it was just the only one the store had.
i have its grandfather, the 4-in-one cooking system. It browns/sears a lot better if you preheat it on "Stovetop High" with the lid ON! for 10 minutes before adding the food.
I've been using the proofing function to great effect in my breadmaking efforts. If you're proofing in a pan, drop a paper towel in the bottom and then add a bit of water to it - that way there's padding between the pan and non-stick surface, and the surface of your bread dough doesn't dry out.
i'm trying to find out whether this is set up so you can put the food in it, program the cooking functions and be able to set it to start cooking at a later time?
Mike, we have the Ninja Hot Air Fryer and the Ninja Coffee Maker and we love them. Ninja is really a great brand. Thanks for sharing your opinion about the cooker. If I have to replace our slow cooker, I know what I will buy...
Great review, Mike. It's great that you stated the exact model number, since Ninja seems to continually up their game with new editions. Maybe the next version will include a variable temperature degree function.😊
I’m sure they will find ways to make it better. They seem like a good company. I’m really happy with it though! Thank you for watching and for your support, Bobbi!!
I usually cook my tri tip in a traditional slow cooker wrapped up. But for some reason every time I've done it with this machine it always comes out dry. Any tips or recommendations?
Hey how's it going bud...hope all is well with you and your family. Great review and most of all I know it's an honest review coming from you whether it is Sponsored or not. Take care and have yourself a great weekend. Cheers!🍻
Nice review Mike! I’ve had a Kitchen Aid slow cooker for about 10 years now and it’s been great but was like $250 10 years ago!? This Ninja for the 8 qt capacity and the ability to sauté and sear etc for $138 (Amazon) is one heck of a deal! I love making large batches of TX style chili so I gave this a go and ordered it after watching your review. It seems like it could be a “one pot” cooker with the sauté function first or searing meat first. Happy New Year to you!
Thanks Mike! - Another excellent review! - My slow cooker also died a few years ago. I replaced it with an InstaPot and an Anova immersion Sous-Vide wand. I still "sorta miss" my slow cooker, but have not been trapped yet. - This looks like a worthy unit. - Cheers!
Thanks for the review Mike! I’ve been looking at slow cookers to replace the one I have which is about 35 years old. I have several Ninja cookers and they are great products. Definitely gonna check this out! Thanks for sharing! Cheers y’all!
Mike I love all of your review videos for the simple reason I know I’m going to get the most honest, accurate review of anyone out there. I have a few ninja products and I absolutely love them very well built and they do what I need them to do. Cheers and all the best
Hi. I am looking at buying one on Amazon from US to Australia. I just want to know if the voltage and plug is compatible with Australia please. I have searched everywhere to find this information and even had a few online chats with Amazon and a phone call and no one can seem to help me. I don't want to pay $150 shipping to get it here and then it doesn't work with our power outlets. Can anyone please help me with what type of plug it has and if it will work on our 240votage power. thanks so much :)
Had a Ninja Foodie. Loved it, but stopped working after about a year. Don't recommend Ninja products. Have Ninja non-stick pots and pans and coating is bubbling off after a few months. They're not the product they used to be.
Hey big dog, i love my possible cooker. I wanna do a low country seafood boil. Maybe you can lead the way with a video??? What you think? I wonder if i can fit some snow crabs in it...
I love my cooker but have noticed dirty water and mold forming in between the glass and rim on the underside of the lid! Ninja sent me a new one *had to pay for because only the cooker itself is covered under warranty* the brand new lid is doing the same thing. Wondering if you have noticed this??
