My channel is about Food, Family and Fun but not necessarily in that order. I'm just a normal "everyday" guy who loves to cook tasty stuff for my wife and children. I wanted to start this channel for years but couldn't find the courage to come out of my introvert shell. A friend inspired me and gave me the courage, I'm so grateful for that. I started this journey on 08-04-2017.
I mix in all types of cooks and recipes on my channel. While my focus will mainly on outdoor cooking, I'll definitely mix in some indoor recipes and well as ethnic foods from time to time. I may even mix in some family fun. I hope you find my channel well balanced, entertaining and useful.
My priorities in life start with my wife and kids! I dedicate this entire adventure to them!
Please follow me and "subscribe" to show support! I'd really appreciate the encouragement!

How are you liking the pellet smoker? I’m ready to buy but nervous because I have a physical disability. I currently have a camp chef woodwind 24 it’s super easy to clean and mostly handicap accessible.
@@shauntackett4497 I absolutely love it. It is made of very heavy materials so keep that in mind for cleanup. It’s easy to do, but does require a little extra umph to get it done.
You need to soak the onions in cold water for 15 minutes this keeps you from crying my mom taught me this secret from crying when u cut up onions it works
Hello I only have a low and high saute and sear temp is this normal for this machine or should I have a medium ? I don't know if I got a lemon hahaha thanknyou
This is the recipe. Your sauce is way too thick. m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8q3pDvjuQIM.html&pp=ygUTVGFjbyBiZWxsIHJlZCBzYXVjZQ%3D%3D
Hi Mike. I’ve just stumbled across this video. Great review. I’ve had my possible cooker for 6 months now and a few revelations to add to your list. 1. The Keep Warm setting is awesome for resting meat. I can rest a large hunk of beef or venison for 2 hours and it is warm enough to rest but not continue the cooking. You can cook the beef rare, then rest for 2 hours, then it is super tender, juicy and tasty. 2. This is the best yogurt maker I have ever had. Let me know if you want the recipes. 3. The bread proving function is great but limited to 4 hours so I have to put it on twice. But hey, my airing cupboard doesn’t smell of yeast anymore. 4. The sear works better if you pre heat for 10 minutes with just a little olive oil.
You’re welcome. Top recipe tip. I made 12 hour beef cheek Ragu overnight last week. The depth of flavour blew me away. The more I use this gadget and push the envelope of my culinary skills, the more I get to appreciate how good it is. Last tip. If you’re cooking overnight, leave a tea towel over the lid to restrict the steam escaping from the lid vent, so it keeps more moisture in a bit like a tagine. Finally, I’m just binge watching your past videos and loving your content. Objective, candid, honest and really informative. Thanks man 😊
Love this! I make it for my husband all the time! He always says Taco Bell today doesn’t taste like Taco Bell back in the 90s, this recipe does the trick ❤
Can you alter the temperatures easily? Like if I have a recipe where I have to turn the temperature down to low and maybe have to turn it back up to high
I like this because it doesn't require 45 minutes of stovetop work before the slow cooker can take over, and it looks like it has a nice variety of flavors. I am looking forward to trying it!
What temp is the low setting? That seems to be the sticking point for me on this $89 Costco purchase. I mainly want a good slow cooker but there aren't a lot out there that have the options I want, temp/time wise.
I have not measured the temp at low/high settings, but I’d say they are exactly that (low/high) and I’m not trying to be a smart a$$. Both are safe temps, the low setting is just lower than some other slow cookers. I still use this cooker to date. We love it.
I would not recommend using cooking spray as it is not just oil. It has a chemical in there that will build up on your grill. Unless the spray you are using is 100% oil, I would not use it.
@@jbdial2 been using it for 8 years. I’ve never had an issue at all. You should do what’s good for you, but I can assure viewers that this has worked very well for me.
I had there original one I think it was a 4 in 1 like 10 years ago?? It was smaller. Man they upped there game! I gave it away when I got the Foodi XL deluxe, not happy with the slow cook function on it. May pick this up! Thanks for the honest review!!
Awesome. I host 2 Sundays out of the month for football and I buy Ditka's Roast Beef (Frozen) or Buona but Ditka's is the best and if you put giardiniera on Roast Beef or on everything like me, ditka's giardiniera is hands down the best. I live in Chicago so its at my grocery store but if you love giardiniera, but Ditka's online it's 6-7 bucks free shpping on Amazon/ebay . (BTW I can't believe you don't SOAK the bread in the juice, it's the only way to have roast beef!)
Scrap it while hot.. let it burn off some debris… scrap one more time…. While hot…. Paper towel into cup .. wipe it down… let it smoke for a few minutes… turn it off… while still warm.. a small squirt of oil… wipe it down.. done
I know that is a concern for some people, but you don’t have to get upset with me about it. Just don’t buy it, find something that meets your needs and preferences.
Glad you are back Mike, so I just subscribed. About the subject of the temp probe vs. the lid gauge reading the same, could you show us while cooking a steak or ribs where you place the grate probe to match the lid gauge as I am still trying to figure it out. I wish S and S grills made a temp probe "holder" that you could push into the meat to read the temperature right at the level of the meat.
@@pipcop they will rarely match perfectly, but they are within a few degrees once the lid is closed long enough. The mistake people make is to open the lid too often and never allow temperatures to settle evenly around the cook chamber. It’s also important to have your coals distributed evenly throughout the slow and sear. Thank you for watching and welcome to the channel!
Great video🔥I have the SnS original kettle. It was definitely worth the money. I would definitely upgrade if I wasn’t saving up for the Weber Summit Kamado.
