A terrible tragedy has hit our favorite family, but how will they handle the loss? Will they band together and fight through it or will they crash and burn. Homer seems to be just barely hanging on for the sake of his family.
So for this video I set out to make it 5 minutes long. I hit that goal quite easily. The second goal was to make something dark, sad and heartfelt, i'll see what you guys think of it. You can expect a few more 5 minute videos in the future, I'd like to release one every now and then that really dives into a good story. Overall I think the video turned out quite well. I hope you enjoy.
Now onto the editing itself. I had to remove Marge out of a lot of scenes, with her being gone and all. I've also trying out some new editting techniques where I remove the background from one scene and put in another, it's still a work in progress but I believe eventually, I'll be able to do it without it being recognizable. There were lots of photoshops and edits, so i'll just mention the most difficult one. It would probably be adding in the rope at the final scene, I had to make it move with the clip itself and make the colors match.
There are some pretty bad lip syncing scenes in this, and some unnoticable ones. The "its not fair" clip where Homer destroys the house in anger turned out very well. But the part where he's reading Bart's letter is quite bad.
