Very cool. A couple years ago, I had to have a new programmable key made for my '07 Accord and went to the dealer. I was surprised to have only been charged about $50 for the new key.

My Honda dealership in Pensacola, FL wants $69 for the key + $60 to program it for a 2014 CR-V. $129 total (plus tax of course). But you also have to go there and wait.

My Honda Civic keys broke by merely using them! I had to hire a auto locksmith and he didn’t give me the same breakable keys but those plain ones that don’t have buttons. Are there keys for my Honda Civic 2013 THAT DONT BREAK AND HAVE BUTTONS?

This won’t work on a 2006 Honda Pilot? Seems like the process is very similar, but I see that this kit doesn’t work on the 2006 Pilot. Why is that? I have the original key but not the transponder (lost it). I put it in a new key fob but it does not work because transponder is not programmed. Is this something you can help too and how much? TLDR need to program transponder correctly to the original key

Hi I replaced my ignition and have a new key for ignition and my door key is original for door only to shut off alarm. The replacement fob key for ignition doesn't program using the normal program mode. So will this work on the fob still. Forgot to add its 2006 Accord 2.4l coupe.

Hey Tom, Will this work if my old key won't make it pass the green key light? I've had my key reprogrammed from the dealership multiple times but for some reason, after a while the key will randomly stop working and never make it pass the green key triggered from immobilizer. I mentioned this to my local dealership and they recommended replacing the immobilizer. I did but still 6 months after the same thing happened. I'm not sure if the dealership was messing with me, but at this point ive given up on the car. Would love to try your product or here your suggestions if you think it would work
That is strange. A vehicle should not be "forgetting" a key chip. We do not have experience with this situation. Our product will likely program the key, but we don't know why that would behave differently from the dealership doing it. Sorry we don't have a better answer.

Let me save someone some headache. Dont buy a key from Amazon and bring it to Ace hardware. They won't cut it. They only use their keys. Secondly I let them use their key and they still couldn't program it. Said I had to go to a mechanic or locksmith. Worthless waste of time. My .02.
