i remember watching this almost a decade ago and being so amazed and inspired by do knock. now here we are 2015- and the man is still killing it with sueprcrew- and i still can't do the rocks. hahah
In my opinion Doknock is a bboy who wants to break the mold of what a bboy is and looks like Just like cloud, they incorporate diferent types of dancing and Give them a bboy style and attitude so I applaude them!
i agree, crazy top rocks but as for his footwork, i liked them at the start. I think he forgot what he was going to do so he hesitated but the start of the foot work was sikk still
Its not about who says what. of course its about having fun (when your smoking your other opponent, lol) There is alot of different types of top rock. the top rock of bboying is endless within its self. But what dOknock was displaying here was more like a freestyle dance, he used poppin elements and some basic ugly top rock steps but made it look good cuz he was on beat. his musicality is sick. He def is a good performer.
@lupinyonsei Actually I heard the bboy seen in Canada is pretty dope. You guys don't have buses in Canada? You don't have friends with Cars? You don't got a bike? I do everything I can to make it to jams. Buses, trains, bikes, my own two feet.
i LOVE this clip. his tops were SO dope. however, doesn't it seem like he's adding a "popping" feeling to his tops? does that still consider a toprocking? still dope though

@xXSc0peXx I completely disagree. Bboying should be inclusive not exclusive. Mauro (Cico) doesn't have much style but DOES IT MATTER? No, his power is awesome. If people want to focus on power or just focus on style they should still be allowed to name themselves bboys. Bboying is about much more than just what techniques you can/can't do.
@xXSc0peXx Sorry, late replay I know - but. "Eboys" who talks about calling yourself bboy, about styles, can hide in their own asses. You dont have to dance to be a bboy. Living a hiphop culture is all about. You think that if you can do some sixsteps variations - you've got style and You can call yourself bboy? You probably know nothing about culture, about dance, about music, about graffiti, or DJing. Toprock makes bboying a dance, not footwork. All bboys got toprocks even powerheads
def wasnt bboying in this video.. he is a good dancer and a good performer but that top rock wasnt bboy top rock it was more like house or freestyle.. and his foot work... ummm... yeah if you are a bboy how do you mess up on footwork? footwork is what separates us from everyother dance... ? )Just my thoughts and opinion....)
