My husband just surprised me and upgraded my 1.5 moissanite to a custom 2 carat radiant cut three stone lab grown diamond and I am over the moon excited!!! Everyone has their own opinions, and I was never a natural diamond girly or even a diamond girly, I just wanted a pretty sparkly rock to wear without breaking the bank. We broke the bank a little more this time but we are 10 years in and he’s so proud to be able to buy that ring for me! Can’t wait to get it. 18 more dayssssss

Being in my early 60's. I'm about to buy my girlfriend soon to be fiance a lab-grown diamond. The primary reason is cost. At this point in my life and being on a retirement budget. I don't want to lay out 20k when I can spend 5k for a beautiful lab. We can use the 15k for trips etc. Let's be honest I'm on the last leg of my life.

The people who think lab grown diamonds are fake need to think about the fact that lab and mined stones are chemically and physically IDENTICLE. If there is any reason to go with lab grown gems it should have to be that the lab stone isn't the product of vast ecological damage and human suffering. If you have a budget for a 40k stone, by the biggest, highest quality lab grown gem. #LabGrownDiamonds #SustainableLuxury #EthicalJewelry 💎✨

The equpment necessary to differentiate lab grown diamonds from mined stones is ridiculously complex and expensive PRECISELY because the differences are SO esoteric and subtle. GIAs first reliable tester was priced OVER a million dollars. The prices for the machines have come down, but most jewelers will be very unlikely to have one.

Hi there! A Cushion is a diamond shape and the halo are the diamonds that go around the halo. That being said, (to confuse things) you could have a round diamond with a cushion *shaped* halo. I actually specialize in that style so check out those videos on my channel for how they’re made correctly. As for plating, the method to keep it bright white is the same for both 10k and 14k. My preference is earth mined diamonds. However, if someone has a lab grown I can respect their choice. With so many options available just follow your ❤️.
100% spot on. We each have our preferences (no matter what they are), and choosing what works best for you as an individual rather than what other people are doing is always GREAT advice.
Mined diamonds are overpriced. DeBeers holds on to diamonds to keep the market high and mined diamonds aren’t as scarce as what DeBeers wants everyone to believe. There are many jewelers who won’t stock lab Diamonds being they feel that that don’t make the money as selling a mined diamond.
The diamond industry is definitely a complex one, and it's important for consumers to be aware of the shifting dynamics. However, from what I hear, many jewelers don't stock lab diamonds because the prices are volatile, so they don't want to pay a price for stock inventory if it's going to go down relatively quickly. Here at Vanessa Nicole Jewels, we don't carry any inventory, which prevents us from finding ourselves in this pickle. This allows us to seek out the best possible diamond at the current market pricing based on _your_ desires (lab vs. natural) rather than be forced to just sell only what we own, which is a traditional jewelry store model. We first look through a large database not available to the public of hundreds of options to cull it down to our favorite twelve, then talk to each dealer about the unique qualities of the diamonds in order to determine which ones to ship in and/or source locally. Then I personally select the ones for you to make your selection from. It's why we've never had a client dissatisfied with their choice because we provide you with the very best quality diamonds to choose from at the best prices possible. :)
It completely depends on the 4C's - Naturals and Labs don't look different by themselves since they're composed of the same elements (one is just natural vs. created in a lab). The Cut, among other factors, will determine how brilliant it shines.
I can see the difference with my naked eye when it comes to moissanite, but not with lab growns. That being said, Moissanite’s are definitely another sparkly way to go! I’m all for whatever makes you SHINE 🤩
You won't be able to visually tell the difference between a natural & lab diamond side by side. Visually they look the same to our eye, even under magnification. Nope. You can definitely tell. I have a travel ring made with a lab stone, that I wear in the city or while traveling. My natural stone is so beautiful but I don’t want to get killed over it.
I'm surprised you can tell the difference - Most jewelers need to test it or send it to GIA to know the difference if it's not marked as lab grown. Maybe you have a Moissanite instead? Sometimes people get confused between the two. Those are very different from lab grown and are definitely distinguishable from a diamond (either lab or natural). Either way, it's fantastic that you have a travel ring - very smart! :)
@@VanessaNicoleJewels No it’s lab grown. I wanted one that was close to the real one but less expensive. The sparkle and luminescence is different. I guess it depends on the quality and characteristics of the natural stone. The lab grown is pretty but not the same. Moissanite looks nothing like diamonds to me.
@@nikkil764you must be confusing moissanite with lab grown. Lab grown diamonds are visually identical to mined diamonds. Only minor differences in chemical composition may influence UV reactivity and electrical conductivity, which can be markers for testing equipment. Otherwise, mined and lab diamonds are virtually identical in structure, optics, hardness, etc. In fact, it could be argued that it is easier to create higher quality lab diamonds than to find good mined diamonds because lab diamonds can be created in more controlled environments

Just like when cd’s came out and overtook cassette tapes and DVD’s came out and overtook beta and VHS tapes. Times change/ technology changes. Get onboard with evolution or die out like the dinosaurs. I love CVD diamonds.😂
