I got a new laptop last year for college as I’m a BTech Engineering student but I’m yet to buy a stand for it. Family’s financial situation isn’t great at the moment so a stand for my laptop seemed like a luxury rather than a need even if it is just a few hundred bucks so never got around buying one. Would be nice if I could win one tho. Good luck to everyone else as well. Hopefully the most needy one gets it❤
I don't have a proper desk so I use a foldable desk and I prefer having my laptop little inclined as it's more comfortable. Adding the laptop stand does with help with that added with cooling effect :)
Surprisingly, in this case, the benchmark results were only marginally better. 618 vs 620 with the stand.😅 But the other benefits of the stand make it worth it.
I updated from a Thinkbook 16p Gen 2 with an Ryzen 7 5800H and a Liw powered RTX 3060 to s much more powerful Legion 7i with a Core i9 14900hx and a RTX 4060 and noticed a difference in idle temperatures, which are a few degrees lower, when the Legion is placed on a stand.
The vents might be the culprit here for the negligible temperature changes. I've noticed that laptops tend to run significantly cooler when elevated or propped up on a stand. Anyway, I hope I win this time and don't miss out like I did last time! As a usually silent viewer, I've been really enjoying the content you put out! (totally not buttering you up lol). 🌚

@@TheHopelessGeek Definitely I use cooling pad whenever I am charging it laptop it definitely reduces the temperature during this as during charging the laptop naturally gets a little hotter than usual
My personal laptop would be 10 years old this month. Had switched to Linux mint during pandemic and that made it immortal. Need to upgrade this year, a video on best laptops under Rs. #### would do wonders. 😇 Also, this stand looks great. 🙌

@@TheHopelessGeek That would be great. You could either make it a series & divide them as per the user, (Light users, Professional, Gaming) or the price bracket (i.e Rs. 50 to 80k range). This would help a broader audience. Better to include the mid-premium laptop range from Asus vivobooks, Lenevo Ideapad & Acer Aspire.(Value for money laptops). ✌
I'm using a 5 year old laptop which heats up like a frying pan (gaming laptop) so it will be very useful if I win. Even if I don't I will surely buy one. Also I need to change my thermal paste, its been 5 years lol. Nice video btw.
