Suffered from plantar fasciitis for 11 months and tried absolutely everything from physio to cortisone injection. The pain was so bad at one point I was using a crutch to get around. 7 weeks using a night splint, and the pain is 99% gone. Night splints are a god send to anyone suffering with this. I still stretch regularly and never walk barefoot and have since managed an 11mile hike without any issues 👍

@tr6151 Still good, my friend 👍 On my feet most of the day with work, Walk/hike regularly outside at least twice a week but keep them at about 10 miles max. Pain is 99% gone, and i haven't had to use the splint since. If I go to the bathroom through the night for a couple of days barefoot, there's a very, very slight something in the heal telling me I need to put on footwear before walking. I cycle roughly 300 miles per week, which may have been a contributing factor to the issue having my foot locked in a non flex carbon shoe for so many hours, not to mention all the tightening of the leg muscles 🤷‍♂️. I definitely own one pair of walking boots that give me heal pain instantly walking around the bedroom 🙄 They have quite a high heel, which I've found are not so good for me. I'll stick with the calf/ IT band stretches (good warm-up for cycling 😉) and include some toe spreads/foot stretches. Sorry for the long-winded reply, but the pain I put up with for so long is a pain I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy, and if it helps anyone, all the better. 7 weeks putting the splint on before bed and taking it off when you get up, very gradually increasing the tension until you can wear the splint with your foot at 90° to your leg. This is NOT an overnight fix and takes a little dedication, but owe my life it certainly worked for me after trying everything other than having my foot amputated 😃👍

I’m wearing a Prowedge splint just now and everything you have mentioned in your talk I can relate to. This is an absolute first class assessment of the problem 👌

Thank you. I was worried that the sizing of my strassburg sock was incorrect. your video has relieved me of any fears that the sock was too loose, not tight enough! Tonight will be the first time use. I am really eager to feel any different in the morning as I will take my first youchies step 😊

I purchased 8 of these. All but one hurt too much after a while. Finally a suggestion to use my blanket in a way that it held my foot up comfortably. mornings are now pain free and only later in the day pains return. Blanket goes over the top of toes then down bottom of foot then back up the back of leg with weight of leg holding its position. The way one normally has it when feet are getting cold.

I had terrible plantaar fasciitis because of skipping workouts. I used a night splint for 3 months. While my foot hurts on the sides of the small and big toes because of favouring my foot for a long time, the plantaar pain is gone.

I get a sharp pain on top of my foot just behind my big toe, this is usually when walking especially slightly uphill, the pain is momentary and goes once I stop moving. My dorsiflexion is very poor but I'm struggling to improve the range of motion through stretching, should I use a night splint?
