Mines lasted pretty long. The beard trimmer only had a shortage cause water may have gotten into the motor. The body trimmers I've only had two, the first one lasted for about 5 years, and the one I have now is working but I had to change blades cause it would get old.
@@kennynunez hey man I was a hair removal salesman and your content is more than ideal for trimmers. I wish our training videos were like this and would just skip straight to the point. I worked with brand products like Philips one blade, wahl hair clippers and much much more in-depth stuff with safety razors too.
Dude you're a legend. I appreciate your no BS approach to the reviews/informational videos. I've only used my Philips one blade wants, but I can already tell it's going to be my new go-to.
Agreed, unless I'm hyper aggressive in areas I cant quite see what the blade is hitting I've never cut myself once. But I've consistently cut myself with any other trimmer I've used.
I tested their product. it was most likely broken or is of utter quality. doesnt cut is loud af. I issued a refund. "Sure just send us the package with everything in it and we will refund the order." We are talking international shipping since its fulfillment center is in another country than i am. They want me to pay for the 20€ shipment cost and will not pay for it afterwards OR i can keep my most likely broken trimmer and get on with it. They advertise "Hassle free return." Which is a straight up lie. I ordered multiple products and was only dissatisfied with 1. I will send them their whole bag back. This company will not see a single cent from me and i will make it my lifes mission to tell everybody remotely intrested in this that they straight up sell overpriced procuts and Lie about their refund policy in their own QnA. Not offering free return is not the standart in modern times ESPECIALLY if we are talking about 290 euros purchases. worst company i have encoundered in a while. Avoid it at all cost.
While you are making a really valid point regarding manscaped I think the Philips one blade which is what I use at the moment is a horrible proposition too. First of all, they sell you the starter kit with the trimmer sometimes cheaper than the replacement blade so I already have 2 trimmers. Can’t be good for the environment, can it? Their replacement blades on average become useless after 3 months (my personal experience). These blades should not cost this much to replace either. Brands like Philips, Braun and others are simply running a scamming scheme. I am trying to do research into a small company that sells trimmers that are not designed around extracting as much money out of you as all these big brands.
And oneblade just cut me the previous time I shaved. I will never use oneblade for my body again. For face its quite good but yeah the replacement razors have to be switched like 4 times a year. So annoying.
my lawnmower 4.0 also broke after two years. i was expecting above decent quality with how much it was, but it’s been revealing to me that most of their brand is just the marketing. thanks for making this video :)
I had a 3.0 (keyword "had"), but it didn't like our hard water too much and pretty much died...I also may or may not have banged it around a bit. BUT, when it worked it was great. I probably nicked myself once or twice downstairs when using it simply because I'm no expert at ball shaving lmao I loathe doing it, and I really only did it when I was dating someone or when having a hookup, whatever reason I need to shave down there. I don't see the point if no one is looking y'know? Idk how you take a razor to your balls because I could never. I do have another razor that I was using for this task but it is not really as good as my 3.0 was. I'm 25 and, I'm mostly used to shaving my face so figuring out what a good trimmer in general is annoying. Some are good, some are bad. I actually recently got a 5.0 and I've only used it on my face for now (I promise I'll clean it if I go downstairs), it has a mesh razor attachment thingy, which is probably the closest non-razor blade shave I've had in a long while so I was kind of happy with that. On my other trimmer I just take the guard off and have bare metal just buzzing across my face, which kind of gives a rough, bristly shave which gives some age to my young looking face. We'll see how it goes. I feel like I shouldn't have to do research to find a decent trimmer but that's just how things are. This was just merely a suggested video so I was curious. Also edit: idk if anyone gets nicked by electrics razors on the face but that hasn't happened to me with anything I've had, at least not without my own stupidity. Once caught the corner of my mouth by accident...I twitched. I forgot which one it was though, wasn't the manscaped.
Thanks! I haven’t tried it but it seems to be very similar to the old one with some needed features added to it. Would probably be a good buy if the old one appealed to you
Philips oneblade is not good at all. You cannot compare any trimmer to oneblade because all are better. Oneblade only works when it is paralel to the skin. All other trimmers works on any angle even better. After i tried to use oneblade for maybe 10 times, I still much prefere my cca 12 years old Gillette proglide trimmer.
It’s hard to justify the price tag for something that breaks in under 2 years for a lot of people. On the one hand it’s great for trimming (as it should be) but it’s terrible for what they always advertised it for (skin safe technology). I’m either sticking with older manscaped models if there’s a big sale, or using the Philips oneblade
so what are good alternatives? I find brio, meridian, and manscaped to be very similar. They all have their prices jacked up and are having a sword fight over who is better. If you're looking for something that has a ceramic blade.
Not quite. I actually came here looking for some honest reviews about the Mansacped - to verify if the ads tell true. The reason why I’m looking for this is because my new Philips OneBlade keeps on CUTTING me terribly! I had a simple and cheaper bidygroom before and I was performing almost good - and I thought that with better model that should be just great experience. I need to shave to zero so I do t use any accessories - and the blade alone is to aggressive for balls 😢
I got trauma from oneblade because it kept cutting my balls😂 and also last time it wasn't balls but the dick itself and the cut made me jump out of my pants. Never oneblade for body again.
i was bout to buy the lawnmower 3.0,but shit sounds like my wahl trimmer is just as good, dont meed a flashlight tf,im not trimming in the dark,u just earned a sub bro good shit, straight to the point
Thanks man, I was about to buy one and then came across your video, did some further searching and everyone else says the same. Will not be wasting my money
@@NightLifeDJs1someone on Reddit cracked the code. The battery doesn't die, it's the charging port getting dirty. So the battery can't charge anymore. I took apart mine and wiped the charge port contacts and put it back together and it charges until it gets dirty again lol. Shit quality
I've cut myself without the guard, but thats 99.99% of the time on the balls themselves. When shaving anywhere else (pubic hair, also not butt hair) I dont even know if I've ever cut myself. But using a guard near the jewels is a must unless you like pain 😅 (To be fair, for me it stings. It doesn't hurt a long time, but it is annoying and i still try to avoid cutting myself there)
So which trimmer and extras for it do you say can be used for the bottom area, for and around the balls and which for the rest of the body, like aempits and chest and ass, since sadly i have alot of hair growin at these places and i hate and to often dont have time or nerves to actually shave it completely? Im really really comfused with all the products and different reviews and opinions 😩
I bought one the other day, asked for a refund instantly cause it sucks. Plastic blade component and doesn’t cut AT ALL, I’m not even very hairy. They know their products are terrible because when I asked for a refund they didn’t even make it difficult they gave it back straight away. I have a 15 year old $30 trimmer that cuts better than this trimmer on the first use
I wish I watched this video before I bought.. oh well 90 usd through the window. I will literally trash it, am so pissed off about it. Razors 4 life :)
Thanks for this. I was thinking of buying one because I thought you'd be able to get a close shave without worrying about nicking the ball sack. Sounds like it's no different than any other trimmer. I think I'll stick to my $25 trimmer I bought at Walmart that's been going strong for 5+ years. Does there exist such a trimmer that you can get a close shave on your sack without a skin guard and without nicking yourself?
Been cut in the nether region by the 3.0 but it's lasted 3 years with one blade change. Not bad and I used amazon aftermarket blades, got twice the blades for the price of official so can't complain.
Philips OneBlade clears manscaped. Cheaper, not cut my balls because have the protection and that waterproof bs doesn't make up for the difference in cost. By far the best one I ever used both on my face and body and it is so cheap.
I’ve been bit more than a few times with my gen 1 Lawnmower but it’s still working, I think it’s on its second blade in all these years, my 5.0 is in the mail on its way to me.
@kennynunez , I took your advice and used the phillips one blade. My package looks like it came back from NAM. The lawnmower does work. Do you use the one blade on just the pubes or the cojones too?
Problem with Phillips one blade is that it has no hair catcher. the cut hair will be everywhere on the counter. only pace to shave with it is shower...
I bought a brand new Lawn Mower 4.0 and the motor stopped working after barely 1 year, using it once or twice a week in the shower. My Philips Norelco shaver with flip up face trimmer has worked for over 5 years of similar use in the shower. I liked the wireless charging, but I expected a lot more reliability out of Manscaped given their marketing and high cost of the hardware.
I've used the One Blade a few times now and it keeps on giving me horrible razor bumps on my face.. Although I do think Manscaped is overprized, it gives me far fewer cuts. Do you have another alternative for a trimmer/razor for really sensitive skin?
Are you shaving against the grain or with the grain? Are you washing your face and the razor before and after? Razor bumps can be avoided by doing that
Hey excellent tutorial I purchased product called BodBlade or BakBlade. It does everything the Manscape does. Its kit comes with numerous attachments plus a gadget that looks like a brush that can handle your back hair. It’s well built and worth the investment. You can also get refill blades.
You know what man I came back and clicked on the video so I can subscribe and give you a thumbs up. This video is informative and straight to the point. Some fact check would be great for those who are watching this review on these products for the first time but not your responsibility. You tell the truth tho and that’s is why you deserve it.
I purchased the Lawnmower 4.0 a year ago and it works decently…however I am researching for a much better whole body trimmer and I would really like one that trims shorter than the Lawnmower 4.0. I am going to try out the Philips One Blade you mentioned…thanks for the advice. 🙂
Me too , my Manscaped Shaver only last me like 2 years and I only used it a few time like every 2 months then the battery let go on me and wasn't keeping the charge. So I find it quite expensive to go on a Hygene Plan with them when there shaver is not even reliable for me and for others with the same failure problems issues. They have to update their product to match the customers needs. I personally want a battery compartment to be more accessible. If people don't complain nothing is going to change with that company. I am not to impressed with them. 🤔 ❤ 👍 👁
