Is the one you recommend good for trimming pubic hair since I'm still young but i want to be hygienic and i don't know what to get any help would be appreciated.
@@thesillypasta1333 he mentions it has 2 tops one for groin and one for face hair and what not. honestly brother a lot of people just trim with scizzors and don't shave completely.
I’ve owned the Brio beardscape for 5years now. I use the Brio downstairs without any problem by adjusting the blade. And I’m very happy with its performance.
Great content bro. I like your honest, non-nonsense straight to the point, and no theatricals approach to content creation. I don’t even keep a bread but I subscribed for the reasons stated above. We really need more people like you out there. Keep doing what your doing man
I've had the same experience with the skull shaver. It worked alright until the battery gave out after just over a year. I think I paid $200 for the platinum one. Then I got a Remington balder pro for $80 on Amazon and it's still kicking over three years later. Less battery capacity, but it seems to be a quality battery. It seems like the blades stay sharp for longer too. I'll definitely try out the brio when my lawn mower kicks the bucket.
I have been using the Meridian Trimmer for personal use and so far so good. I just like it because it is water proof and if I drop it in the shower I dont have to worry about it getting wet. I dry trim with it in the shower so it is easy to just sweep up the hair. At the price point it was, it was right for me at the time.
This product may not live up to the hype however their commercials are very clever.. the new manscape clippers commercial is kinda confused at first then it hit me.. the two little hairy dudes with him are his testicles the family jewels.. lol
Welp i already bought the lawnmower 5.0 super package. It was 20% off for the whole bundle and my old trimmer has passed it's prime. For $110 i got shampoo, deodorant, ball lotion, aftershave, nose hair trimmer and body hair trimmer. I think it was a worthwhile purchase since I needed everything. It does the job well, so I'm satisfied.
You know that the shaver itself is equivalent to a roughly $50 shaver right? The other stuff they throw in there just adds to the cost (Overpriced cost btw) of $110. Looks like their bullshit marketing got you good, you got ripped off big time bud, if you wanted a cheap shaver then you should've just bought a cheap shaver and then bought the other stuff separately, it'd be cheaper and pretty much identical.
@@singed420snowinit9nah the brio razor is $112 for the razor alone the bundle is certainly a lot cheaper with the stock on appliances and nose trimmer and even a new anti bacterial scrubber
@@singed420snowinit9 personally the 5.0, the nose trimmer, shampoo and conditioner plus 2 gifts for £130 it seems worth considering the shaver by its self is like £80
Hey Scuba go google manscaped reviews and you will see a lot of disappointed people and you are right about nicking yourself and you will see that in the comment section! Thank you for the truth and not pushing fluff!! With someone that has the platform you do you very well could promote them and lie to us and say how great it us and make bundles of money but you don't and I love that man real talk. You've been telling the truth since day one and I respect that!! God bless you Scuba!!
I'm just forced to buy the manscaped. I can't find alternatives. My criteria: USB-C charge, travel lock, shaves both short hair, short beard and bodyhair. That's it. The small size is a bonus too. I would go for the Brio V2, but it doesn't charge with USB-C. I want this trimmer for traveling. Saving as much space as possible.
Same! It’s awesome. Allows me to clean up between haircuts, I only trim my own beard (so save a ton of money on beard trims) and can handle everything else. Multiple years and zero issues!
im glad to have this channel to set things straight, i see it advertised so much i had to check some professional opinions, and i discovered the brio beardscape.
I have the Braun All-In-One Style Kit Series 7 7420, and I love it. Yes, you have to be careful down there, but if you read the fine print on Manscape, it says it can still nic you.
All blades can nic you, they are, at the end of the day, made to cut, so if one is not careful, or too forceful... The matter is about the frequency and overall quality of the cut as well how well you can customize the cut with it, imo at least.
Thank you for this video I almost purchased the 5.0 then looked at other reviews and there is a lot of negative ones. Anyways went with the V2 and I'm really glad I did
Thanks for saying something about the subscription! I just recently purchased the lawnmower 5.0 package kit thing and had no idea about the subscription! It arrives on friday but after seeing this review, I might return it and get the Brio razer. I had the OG lawnmower and it worked great for me. Hopefully the 5.0 does not let me down
Been using a manscape 2.0 for the longest, over the years of use, had only 2 nicks (no major sac damage, but not a comfortable situation), have to go slow when you go low. Anyway, was looking at the new 5.0 mainly due to that foil blade, but your video has me checking into the brio.
I was going to get the Manscaped equivalent to upgrade a cheap head shaver and lawnmower original. I just bought the Brio. Thank you for the recommendation, for Brio can't wait to use them.
I found your channel through this Manscape review. I used your link and picked up the Brio and love the rest of your content. Thank you for all honest review.
I have a Lawnmower 3.0 that's been going strong for 3 years... Deciding on upgrading. One advantage the Lawnmower may have is the smaller size head. Easier to get in tight areas.
My biggest beef with Manscape is that they push the idea that it is cut proof. Whenever I use it I end up a bloody mess. Been using trimmers for more than 10 years so its not like I don't know what I am doing. In the bin I say, much better options out there.
I have a rule: If it's advertised on Social Media (FB, YT, etc) I do not ever buy it. I treat it as a literal scam. So I'm safe lol. And never use your bank card to purchase things online. Use a dedicated Visa for that stuff. So you can cancel it when places like Manscaped decide to charge you extra.
I use the Philips Bodygroom Series 1000. It has 2 combs: 0.5 mm and 3 mm. It is waterproof. I use it with the 0.5 mm comb on the armpits and groin area. It trims very, very close. I am very satisfied with the trimmer. The only downside is that it's not rechargeable. It runs on an AA battery.
I just bought one and gonna start testing the Lawnmower 5.0. One thing I reas up about the Manscape trimmers I'm the charging instructions is it says to NOT leave the trimmer over charging while it's on the charger so that means I'll need to monitor the trimmer when it's done and 100% fully charged so that it won't over charge or over kill it's battery inaide of its trimmer.
I legitimately bought the Brio when I was looking for a beard trimmer and came across your video a while back. Been using it for beard and down there for like 2 years and it's still as good as when I got it. The tines do nick the sack though if you try to go to close, no amount of skin safe will stop that 😅
Got it last night, used it this morning, and nicked myself in the process. I’m glad this vid popped up on my feed or else I wouldn’t have known about the subscription. I have a bad habit of not reading things at times. The Beard Club got me with that sub crap too. Never again.
@@xtheslump2 heads come with and you can sign up for an auto shipment of replacement heads. I am quite pleased and think their products are well worth the money.
I have Manscaped 5.0, and I love it's standard 4.0 razor, but foil shaver is absolute garbage. With standard razor I didn't have any injuries or discomfort, but with foil I had 2 injuries in one session. Those side razors are pretty bad, the one that on outer side is definitely doing more harm than good, its VERY uncomfortable to use foil shaver because of it, other one could be useful if it wont be heated so fast and if it would be safer. I really don't understand why they added razor to foil shaver, even two of them, just having foil shaver alone would be nice. Trying to figure out how to remove them without destroying foil shaver.
Just bought 200$ worth on manscaped stuff and will be canceling the order and getting the one you suggested, glad I saw this before the package arrived
Not mentioned: 5.0 has USB-C port directly on it, vs. stupid dock (on both 4.0 and that Brio). Also charges via Qi wireless. If you're using it as a travel product, this means much smaller in bag (since you have a USB-C charger already).
Hi, can I get a recommendation on a EU brand? I used Philips OneBlade, but I am not very happy with it and battery is dying. I tried to find a Brio, but can't find it anywhere. Even if I would buy it from Germany and say goodbye to my warranty.
Thanks man for making this review I was about to buy the manscape until I watched your review on RU-vid and I'm definitely buying the Beardscape Beard and Body Trimmer V2 keep making reviews have a good day
I was going to buy a Manscaped LawnMower a few years ago but then watched your video so bought the Brio Beardscape (original version) instead. I don't grow beards so my only use for it has been body trimming. After having owned and used it for a few years now, I have to say that I don't think it's well-suited to body trimming. For above the belt line trimming it's fine, but for below the belt line trimming it's too large and thus unwieldy for the weird angles that it needs to be held in for proper trimming. Also, the trimmer is too wide for my taste for below the belt line trimming. Every time I use it down there I'm always wishing for a smaller trimmer size. I do appreciate the long battery life, quick charging time, and retractable blade guard for below the belt line trimming though. I rinsed it for the first time few weeks go and now it doesn't power off anymore when I press the power button. The trimmer shuts off but the unit stays on until the battery dies. So I have to charge it prior to every time I want to use it now. My mistake I guess for thinking it was safe to rinse. But as I explained, I was getting fed up with for the other reasons I stated so this just forces me get something else. So therefore I'm finally going to give the LawnMower a shot this time around. But I do appreciate the tip about not signing up for the scam that is the replacement blades plan.
The only qualm I have with this review was your first point. My wife had to train me to read because I for sure suffered from just clicking, buying, and then wondering what went wrong later for instances like being charged in perpetuity. Sure, they aim to get you by making the first option a subscription with fine print, but it's still our responsibility to read. I can't count that one fully against Manscaped. Otherwise, I loved your review and honesty.
Saw your 4.0 video, came back to watch this after saw people promoting the 5.0 and wondered if they had gotten any better. Not too surprised they hadn't. I'll come back to check the 6.0 whenever it comes, as I don't really keep a beard, so don't think I'll get too much more information off your channel. Although, might go check your other trimmer reviews, slowly starting to consider getting a new one, as it is starting to show its age.
I've bought 2 trimmers from Manscaped. The 2.0 and the 4.0. Both stopped working after a coupke of months. Stopped charging. They sent me another charger. Still didn't work. The product works as far as shaving but the trimmer will fail at some points in a few months.
I bought the first manscaped. It claimed it wouldn't cut me, so that's how I used it. Of course the first thing it did was cut me. I still used it till it broke, which was pretty quick if I remember correctly. Last of their products I ever bought.
Honestly thank you for this, I'm new to the whole expensive shaving game and have only really heard of manscaped so it's good to know there's better options for the price
I ordered Manscaped 5 and while I was looking for some review to approve my choice I came across tis video...I guess you should do this before buying stufd😂
Thank you very much just bought it and I was really wanting manscape but you changed my view on it and other sources but thank you for making this video
Two features that the Manscaped 5.0 has over the Brio Beardscape are USB-C charging and adjustable guards. I own the Beardscape V1 and love it. But I travel a lot and it’s not ideal for that. USB-C charging means I wouldn’t have to always carry that specific cable and I wouldn’t ever forget a cable for it. Also adjustable guards would reduce the size when packing. In order to go from 1-12mm with the Beardscape you have to carry 3 big chunky guards.
The Brio has guards. Yea USB-C would be cool, but the good thing about the Brio is the battery life. Like it would be near impossible to kill it on a vacation unless you left it on and set it down and left for a few hours
@@BeardTube the Brio has guards but they’re very big. The lawnmower 5.0’s guards are much smaller and cover more range than a single guard from Brio. I have been travelling full time for the past 4 years so I have needed to charge my Beardscape quite a few times and I had to order a replacement cable because I lost it. I have been looking to change trimmers for one with a travel lock, USB-C charging and smaller adjustable guards. This new lawnmower seems to be the only one that has all 3. There is also the new Meridian Plus potentially, I would like to see your opinion on that.
Yea the Brio is a wider trimmer, so the guards have to be a little bulkier. If the manscaped works for you and checks off all the boxes, I would say go for it! The brio charges via regular USB through the dock, but you would have to keep the dock with you
@@BeardTube honestly if the Beardscape V3 had USB-C then I’d get that in a heartbeat. I just think the manscaped might be a downgrade from my Beardscape V1 even though it has the features I’m after. A good trimmer is a good trimmer regardless of the bells and whistles.
Got my mower 2.0 back in 2017, 2018, when their advertisement started to really take flight. Still use it today but the battery is completely done for. Won't even last 5-10 minutes, but I was happy with how many years I got from it. 7 Yeats, and I only had to replace the ceramic blade once. Great beginner buzzer imo. But it's time for an upgrade, and I saw last night they have the new 5.0 out. Thought about it but I saw ur last review when the 4.0 first came out, and I remembered it not being that great. Thinking the Brio just might be my "next level" buzzer lol
The brio beardscape does not ship outside of the us ? It doesn’t have an option to select other countries in shipping I’m at checkout what are the chances that you will see this right now
This man is speaking the 💯 Manscaped is JUNK. I have the Philips Norelco OneBlade Face + Body QP2630. I've had it for about three years now. VERY happy with it!
I absolutely love manscaped products I have the 5.0 I love it but I’m definitely going to look at the other trimmer and use it with my manscaped products
I recently bought the lawnmower 5.0 and was very put off by the subscription thing, haven't had any issues with it so far but it definitely is a gimmicky thing for them to put that when you just want to buy the trimmer and nothing else.. Hopefully it keeps working just fine and I don't end up wasting all my money.
I just bought the 5.0 off eBay for $86.00 New from a Pawnshop item arrived in a reasonable amount of time. I missed out on the up-sale recurring charges.
Agreed! Thanks for the review. I hate products of the companies who invest more into advertising than into developing their product. Will never buy from them.
Thank you for this video. I was intrigued by the concept of the Manscaped, but i noticed the Plan option and didn't want that. So, I went to Amazon and ordered a Brio Blackout V2 based on your recommendation. I also ordered the Manscaped "lotions and potions" because i want to try them.
I just ordered the Manscaped 5.0 "Ultra". Been wanting to try a "good" trimmer for a long time and the Friday sale seemed like a good time to order one finally. I did not notice the Plan option. Now I am thinking either send it back and order the Brio with a replacement blade or get a replacement blade from Manscaped in 3 months then cancel it.
@bigroller8233 How did that go? I am in the same boat I'm waiting for the Manscaped 5.0 but now I'm torn about just throwing it back and ordering Brio V2
Still have the original Brio have had it for a few years now and its still great, if I was to put it in the box and give it as a gift you'd think it was a brand new product, the blade is the same practically no difference since I bought it (I don't understand how...), battery is insane I charged it ONCE since I bought it years ago etc, its just a great product, its literally perfect, I saw the new version they released and its pretty similar to the last with slight differences, its hard to improve something that's already perfect.
3:33 yes the side trimmers I think are a terrible feature. I always pinch my skin while using this shaver head and I’m not really sure the best way to go about using this because you typically have to press these against the area that you want to have a clean shave yet the side trimmers, don’t move well with the foil area in my opinion
Depending on where you live you have by law longer warranty than the producer offers. And if the producer is selling themselves to a country with more generous warranty/guarantee they have to abide by those laws. Since Manscaped sells to European Union directly. Guarantee is 2 years by default from the day of delivery. Not 90 days. "The legal guarantee is valid for a period of 2 years throughout the EU and covers any defects that existed at the time of delivery and which become apparent within a period of 2 years. If the defect becomes apparent within 1 year of delivery, you don't have to prove that it existed at the time of delivery."
I remember you did a review on the Manscape 3.0 years ago. And now another great video review on Manscape 5.0. As always, I appreciate each of these Manscape reviews.
Great review, super well articulated. I'm definitely going to be looking at that one you suggested I was looking at the manscaped bundle with a nose trimmer but I had some concerns about the size of the blade and am happy I saw this review and the Brio because it's way better looking in comparison and way handier it seems After looking at Brios we site I'll definitely be getting their bundle instead. Not immediately, but when I do I'll be sure to use your link. Thank you!
I want something like the Brio Beardscape V2, but it's not available in Germany. Do you have something good available in Europe in the price range of around 100-150 euros?
The Manscaped Lawnmower 5.0 has one feature that none of the other trimmers have that makes it an instant buy for me: USB-C. Having to use one cable to power all of my electronic devices is so convenient that i refuse to buy anything that isn't USB-C compatible. Even of the Lawn Mower 5.0 is slightly worse, the advantage of USB-C outweighs any of those deficiencies as far as my usage goes.
A lot of the Manscaped products are exactly like the Profoto camera flash products.... extremely well marketed, but compared to some other brands that don't have quite so much well branded marketing, is sub par. Exacerbated by the fact that like Profoto, Manscaped spends most of their cash giving free shit to RU-vid Content Creators to plug their products lol. Maybe spend half of that marketing budget on making your product better? lol. Just sayin :P ps as a Photographer that was my point of reference lol, apologies. pps ... great vid!! Preach brother, man of the people!
Thanks. I got the lawn mower and it quit working after using it only a few times "without putting it in the shower." I only got the beard trimmer and lawn mower so I hope I didn't accidentally sign up for the recurring charges. They did send me a new trimmer head for the lawn mower but maybe that's because they knew it wouldn't last long
This is the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen! 😂 So much truth! And DEFINITELY clean em! I wonder how many of us learned THAT the hard way haha. Great vid I’ve been stoked with Braun and Panasonic.
so the two manscape links are just amazon , but the brio link is a tracker link that u can see statistic of clicks and buys thru ur video , just say this an ad , cause brio seems like a better option
Are there comb attachments for the brio? That's one of the things with the manscaped one which I really liked to make it easier controlling length of the trim
Since the brio is not available in EU without importing it with insane taxes, then what's the best alternative to the brio for the south area of your body?
I have the live bearded MT trimmer I like it. Not full color screen but has pretty much everything the brio does. I think I got it for like $80 a year and a half ago. I use it for both my beard and my downstairs
I've still got a lawn mower v2. It's still working fine. But guys. I tell you what I do and it works good for me. Whatever electric trimmer you use doesn't really matter. But guys, i can absolutely recommend the "ultra smooth" package feom manscaped. It comes with a great razor some really good shaving cream that is made for your groin area. Just shave it once with an electric razor to destroy the forest, then maintain it with the ultra smooth package. Their exfoliator is good and their lotion is awesome. I honestly use my manscaped lawn mower just for general trimming my chest hair and trimming down underarm hair and whatnot. TL;dr: Trimming your groin with an electric trimmer kinda sucks, do it once, then maintain it with a razor, again i HIGHLY recommend the manscaped ultra smooth package, it's a really great kit to have.
In advance sorry bout the TMI BUT PEOPLE SHOULD know the situations that could occur..The instructions that come with the 5.0 says it's not waterproof,my heart sank,I'm like that's what I bought it for since it's easier to get rid of excess hair,in the shower..also since it's a sensitive area, groin, balls,or fatty area,me as a heavy guy,if I try those areas,it's very hard to see it ,cause I can't see it by looking down, but I try to be as careful as possible, but sometimes I actually with manscaper end up bleeding in fatty areas try to get rid of hair,I don't use it on the actual ball because tried it 1 time and cut it so bad that I couldn't use hot water or any other things that would touch it,it burns
