He is a big part of the game, he's the entire reason Ellie goes on her revenge arc. It's insane that none of you are even able to understand the game for what it is. The reason Naughty Dog lost like 70% of the employees from the original game was probably due to them finding out about the story of the 2nd game. Imagine pouring your heart and soul into a beloved masterpiece and then some hippy idiot drops one of the worst storylines of all time for the sequel.

When I played TLOU1, I literally felt like I was inside the game and wanted it to last forever. Once I finally finished it, I probably l played it start to finish 15 more times and loved every second of it. With TLOU2, I absolutely could not wait for the story to end. I skipped every cut scene, couldn't stand the stupid characters and the dumpster fire story - I literally played it twice - the second time was for the sole purpose of making hard saves of all of the epic combat scenes, because while the game itself is a rancid pile of shit, the combat mechanics are second to none. So my only relationship to TLOU2 is playing the combat scenes, I plan on never encountering this horrific story ever again as long as I live.
I played the 1st 1 or 2 times a year since it came out part 2 i couldn't stand to play a 2nd time and i haven't played part 1 since 2020 part 2 left such a bad taste and smell that i couldn't play the 1st anymore. Gaming hasn't been the same for a while now its so sad

Funny for me was when I realized why Abby was on her revenge-trip. Because when I played the first TLOU (SPOILER!) I didn’t kill the surgeon (Abby’s dad) I just knocked him unconscious… so for me TLOU 2 didn’t really make any sense and is more like a parallel universe, which could exist (but is non-canon .. at least for me)

So obvious that this character is written by a man who has this fantastical idea of women but never actually spent any real time with them or cared enough to do any research. Like Skill Up said, it's pretty much a hybrid of GOT Season 8 and the bad Disney Star Wars retcon trilogy. Pass. @Synthetic Man, Demon Souls could be the same trap like Bloodborne turned out to be. Sony started the PS4 out well, but that quickly changed once they moved to Cali. The PS3 despite its initial high price was pretty good. The original models had excellent backwards compatibility and Sony did not censor Japanese games, but actually openly endorsed them. Can't say the same for Sony now or for the PS5. Plus they seem to want to go digital only. Having the physical game option is pretty much one of the only real advantages consoles have over pc now. Can't say the all digital future is doing great given what happened to that Russian guy on Steam. But yeah, I can understand why you'd prefer pc.

My "bonus rant" at the end of this video was basically just me rambling about how disappointing this console generation has been for me, in terms of exclusives. Just found you, subscribbed instantly. I never enjoyed politics bc I saw how people get often triggered by it, so I kept my distance. But for some years it has been intoxicating really, it feels like those progressives/liberals have infested everything with ideology. And the reason is obvious, it's free marketing: "LOOK AT THAT GAME, IT'S FOR THE GAYS. IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT, WELL THAT MEANS YOU ARE AN HOMOPHOBIC", cross out the word "game" and put any kind of product or service, makes the publisher almost immune to criticism. It's the same with Netflix for instance, if you could receive praise even before the product is published... why wouldn't you? Put a diverse cast even if it doesn't make sense, make characters with the personality of a wood plank that are there just to make cringy one liners or represent some kind delirium of reality. Integrity was never the point for big companies, they are just following the flow of money. The Last of Us 2 will serve as again, another reminder that the majority of consumers aren't as gullible as they think.

Except CP has good characters and they actually improved the game alot with the patches and DLC. Also it does not shove THE MESSAGE in our faces like most games and entertainment does these days.

I use to be a Naughty dog fan back in the day and use to be expire and wanted to make video- games which i still do, But out of any other games that Naughty dog made Jak and Daxter was one of my favorite's games and love the idea of colorful world with collection type of game to the city gun play . It's too bad that people don't remember Jak and Daxter and no body really talk about Jak and Daxter and people only remember crash bandicoot and the last of us but base on how different Naughty dog is, I just wish that another company can take over and give Jak and daxter fans a true sequel or a least a remaster version just like Crash bandicoot trilogy.
I absolutely love games likes Jak & Daxter, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, Ratchet & Clank, Sly Cooper etc. Currently replaying both the Jak trilogy as well as the R & C games. Gaming has come an extremely long way since the late 90’s-early 00’s but games like the ones I just mentioned will always appeal to the type of gamer I am. Just actually fun games & not focuses on an agenda like games from this generation of consoles. I’m afraid those days are long gone or at least fairly long in between those types of games being made. Developers that have always had my attention like Bethesda, EA, 2K, R* & ND the like are really unrecognizable right about now. Now really the only developers I can count on to create fun games worth $60 is probably CDPR & Insomniac for the most part. The R* of the early to mid 00’s are long gone imo. They’ve gone the MTX route & ain’t ever returning. I understand that the video game industry is a business first & foremost but charging $60 up front & also still having the audacity to have a huge chunk of the game locked behind a paywall should be illegal at the rate we’re seeing it happening currently

I am currently playing Judgement. Such a good game. Really enjoying the story, and reminds me a bit of LA Noire, as you have to question people, and look for clues and evidence. The combat is fun too. The English voice acting is a bit naff, but funny. This game should get more coverage.

You got yourself a sub, I enjoyed hearing your truth! I love graphics but I really need a game to play besides TLOU2 (i loved TLOU1 and it helped me through so much in my life at the time). I love adventures and action and progression. That's why I still played final fantasy 15, it has a sad ending but the game is still fun and there's plenty to do (side missions) and the story could have been better but i loved traveling with the guys and making stuff to help us get ready for battle (meals, weapon upgrades, spells) etc and i was upset whenever something happened to the group. I'm a female, pretty unbiased until people do things like what happened with TLOU.

I loved the first one. Immediately after finishing it, I wanted more. They said not long after that a sequel wasn't a sure thing. After thinking about it more, I agreed, it ended perfectly and a sequel would actually take away from it. When the leaks happened I avoided them and only knew that they had people in an uproar. Then, after the game came out, I found out people absolutely hated it. I avoided it for over a year. Then, my curiosity got the better of me and I watched a playthrough. I don't think any adaptation, sequel, or original work hurt my soul as much as that game did. The disrespect for the original and for the reasons the fans loved the game was just too much. It really did feel like the writers of the second game hated the fans that played the first and were actively punishing them for liking that game.
