Drivers need to unite and form one single union. All, owners, company drivers, lease operators, everybody as one….that’s the only way to change things. Otherwise they will endlessly continue to screw you over.
Can you tell me more I'm thinking of calling them I own a day cab I live south of St Louis Missouri about an hour hour fifteen minutes looking into going local with them can you give me some info if I should or not
hilarious and I believe every word. I ran USA's load board for a year and done alright. I was curious about hunt's but you killed that real fast. Good luck man. 🤙🤙
Good to know, I just got called today by JB Hunt as a company driver to handle some account out of Toledo Ohio. Not to mention about four months ago a recruiter called and said we have local positions near you I asked her to send me more information. She called back a few days later with it's a seniority-based position so basically first come first serve. So, she said I do have an opening for a driver assistant delivering appliances to stores and people's homes. Sorry, I have 15 months experience it's not a lot but I'm not going to be a helper when I qualify as a driver and have some experience. So, I'm definitely turning it down. There are better local companies who are better organized.
No, that’s not trucking. That is typical with megacarriers unfortunately. They are too big to give a damn about anyone. I’m so sorry you had to go through this mess. You could always get in touch with Scott. I have his cell and email if you need it. Wishing you nothing but the best brother.
Indeed it is not. Not trucking at all. I mean some of it happens to all of us but when it’s almost every load, at some point blame has to be put somewhere. Maybe it’s me, maybe I’m the asshole here. But I’m the asshole who arrives on time for loads that do not exist 🤣🤣🤣
@@bigginztrucking4698 not you at all my friend. Like I said, they are far too big to give a damn about anyone. That’s why I stay as far away from the megas as possible. You know what you’re doing though, and you got this! Enjoyed the chit chat as always.
One advantage of being old. You know the inner workings of many companies. Through experience and friends. JB isn't even on my "About to be homeless if I don't find a job" list. We learn as we go 😉
Boss I hate to play favorites but I must admit I love to see you popping in for a visit to the comment section over here in my little slice of the internet. Always level headed and insightful. You’re welcome anytime here brother 😉. You are so right regarding the experience of things teaching us as we go. Funny part is all I needed was for them to hold up their end of the bargain for about 3-4 months and I didn’t even do two round trips before they pissed the bed horribly. It’s a shame to because if I had to guess J.B. himself probably didn’t intend things to be this way in the beginning but here we are lol. Again thanks for watching and for all you provide us “youngbloods” out here on the road. Drive on driver! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I feel your pain JB HUNT is terrible! Another tip do not let them deliver anything to your house, Lowes and Homedepot sub contracts with them They totally trashed our mailbox, or threshold on both doors. I am still fighting them.
I'm currently on the same journey, i went to USA Truck, got my truck through a leasing company they recommended, worked there about 5 months, was mostly happy just not making much money, so I left and came to J.B. Hunt. It's not going fantastic. Mostly for the same reason but also maintenance issues. And the lies I was told in order to get me on board. Like discounts you get as a result of you working under their authority. Lies. Getting ready to go Power Only through GreatWide, it's 10% more pay, and no trailer rental if I'm Power Only.
This happens with ALL trucking companies! I have been out here for a long time. I can say from experience that the only way to dodge these incidents is to leave trucking!! These types of gripes is exactly why I am leaving this industry. Also, I had my own authority for years and I can tell you that it does not change!! Its just the industry. Us truckers have to deal with a ton of B.S. to make a living. I'm completely done with trucking. I put my truck up for sale. It ain't worth the headache!
I came this 🤏🏾 close to leasing on to JB last month because Cloud was taking forever to onboard me so glad I waited nothing beats same day pay. I did the drug test and even started watching the safety videos when I told my recruiter I was going to Cloud the only thing he could come up with was JB has better fuel discounts which made me laugh cuz I have Mudflap and get better discounts than even JB 🤣🤣
I absolutely agree with you, I have the same problem, NOW, sitting here with all my loads cancelled, gave me no reason and wait till tomorrow. 4 loads cancelled on me including one I was dispatched to, and came to know load does not exist at the shipper. Total BS here JBH.!!!
A really good guy came up on retirement down in Orlando. After nearly 30 years, he decided to get a CDL. His Training Company of Choice? JB Hunt. He did get his CDL. Ended up Running Produce out of Miami, All Points North, back and forth week after week, running Teams with his trainer. Last I heard he had quite JB. Said he'd never worked so hard in his life! No time off. paying off that CDL. I seriously doubt he stayed with it. Sounds like JB ran them half to death. That was back in 1993. He was a really decent man. Saddens me to know JB is still around.
JB Hunt is a firm believer of getting their loads moved by the cheapest rate there is when I work for JB Hunt at 30 cents a mile they would give the load to me because they didn't want to give it to a driver who's been there over 10 years and making $0.50 a mile so what do you think that means for their own or operators they're going to give the load to their company drivers before they give it to an owner operator in less than they have no other choice
Oh BT, it's time to jump ship and get some stability. No one and I mean no one with such a sweet curve to their hat bill should have to put up with that nonsense!!!
THERE YOU ARE!! I still owe you a smoke that I took out of Perry's truck from Millis...LOL I work for JB HUNT too and I love it. Glad I found you..I'm a dedicated Amazon account company driver and I still have nightmares from Millis...Be safe
Maybe something to consider my brother and nephew, are leasing and they love this company they just started with Interfreight for about four months now.
I believe this big companies only paying you less than $ 2 dollars per miles, that’s why I’m staying away from the biggest companies, stayed with small companies are better,
It's not so much they got so big on accident, it's more the fact they have got far too big and their management has not grew with the size of the company. Sounds to me like poor management and communication is the biggest issue with JB Hunt.
First your expectation on a dedicated run with anyone is a stretch these days, like me you have a trusting heart, then if it were me, any of the good paying loads to GA. I would have accepted as it is closer to NC, if you consider down time waiting for any load being that close to NC your backing up, my normal DH back to Arkansas is 1000 miles and reloaded in 2 days compared to 4 to 5 days getting back to Arkansas, my revenue changed to 27 grand a month instead of 10 grand. Less down time equals more revenue. I'm always at 3.50 to 4.00 per mile, and that justifies the dead head.
My first load with jb hunt from PA to TX from the 17th to the 20th, on the 19th about 450 miles away from destination in TX, received a message that the delivery was changed to the 23rd! DONT COME TO JB HUNT PLEASE PEOPLE! This people are the worse..
Dude, I have also been through all this bs! JB Hunt is so unorganized and nobody knows what the freak is going on. I ended up walking and told them to stick it up their rear!! You should have stayed with USA truck.
I won't run anything for jb hunt, my last attempt they sent me to 3 different places for an empty trailer without any extra pay, after the 3 no go I called and cancelled. With Schneider, I was sent to a place in California to drop an empty and security refused to let me leave unless I took a trailer with me. I called the police for holding me against my will and was able to get out after the police showed up!!
It's because they have too many empties. Next time call dispatch, let them know, ask for pay to drop the empty at the nearest drop yard or company yard. Depends on the dispatcher.
I hope what I had to say was constructive for you driver. If you’ve followed my channel at all you’ve seen I do not weigh in this harshly against carriers. I do not take it very lightly.
I worked with JB Hunt for a month. Total shit show. Non stop running around searching for trailers just to pick up trailers and struggling to get dispatchers to answer any calls or texts
Happens to me with hubgroup a lot!!! Same issues, nobody answers phones, thy always come out with the same story!! Its only 1 guy for 100 trucks...how is that possible???? Mega carriers without office people??? I dont really understand.....
I'M ACTUALLY FOING THROUGH ECXACTLY THAT RIGHT NOW GET TO A CUSTMER AND THEY SAY THE LOAD NOT READY WHEN THEY HAD FROM 00:01-23:55 AND ITS 21:00 AND THE LOAD IS STILL NOT READY SHIPPER GOES IT'S ONLY 3 OF US HERE IN THIS WHOE WAREHOUSE AND WE HAVE LIKE 15 OTHER TRAILERS TO LOAD WOW!!!! WHY SET AND APPOINTMENT TIME IF THATS WHAT YOUR GOING THROUGH SMH ITS NOT THE FIRST TIME YOU DEFENILTELY DONT WANT HEAR WHAT JB HUNT RESPONSE WAS LOL
JB hunt didn't change your bait. I don't care whether you are a company driver or owner operator. All they care about is pushing policy and making as much money as they can
JB Hunt would have me run a load out of Southgate down in California they would have me running load from California to New York when I got to Texas they would email me drop the load in Texas and let someone else take it they would always screw you over like that
Why did you leave USA Trucking? I know you said it was something dedicated at J B Hunt. When that failed, why not go back USA? I'm on my second load with USA and I can not get away from them fast enough. I'm currently stuck with a load no one knows what to do with. Once done I'm running with JB. I'm hemorrhaging cash with USA! Hemorrhaging meaning I'm going broke!
@@arthurcarter1223 yeah it’s going to be the broker so say you book a load and it has a Lumper just call the broker they will give you an express code for lumper
