Personally, I never understood how cameras can be a threat to commercial places; meanwhile, phones are totally fine. I have a GoPro camera which is smaller than any phone in the world, and they still would not let me record with it. Every security we have met had the same reaction. Anyway, we quickly left the place, and I still had such a great time with my friend - Saad. Thanks to him for taking me around and showing me local food and desserts. Lovely guy!
I don't know why they wouldn't allow this... only reason could be for security reasons as if anything goes wrong mobile phones are detectable than the mini cameras i think... i don't see any other reasons.
Most of the customers come to see the mall for the first time but end up buying it then eventually become a customer, if they see the mall on RU-vid or TV, they might not like it for many reasons and that is the one reason they don't allow. Another reason is security which could be used to plan an attack. They allow phone's because it's not something they can stop you from therefore it's just a risk they willing to take. I think that's the reason but not 💯

Saad seems to me a very shy and nice guy and less friendly with the camera. The shopping center is impressive and beautiful and can definitely compete with American shopping centers. Sweet shop you went to is slightly more fancy dessert place hence why price higher. Dont tip them, there’s poorer people outside haven’t ate whole day, besides the tip will go to the shop owners. Tip Street food sellers/vendors instead.

Ras Malai. Ras = Juice, Malai = Cream. These are balls of Farmer's Cheese dunked in hot sugar syrup and then served with cream fat which has been achieved by boiling full fat milk to the desired thickness. It is sprinkled with dry fruits and infused with an aroma of Elaichi / Cardamom. Yummy! Someone please correct me if I am wrong.
You need to go Old Dhaka for proper kebab and stuffs there’s so many options good restaurants in tiny streets than the open street food. Try the Kachhi biryani.

Hey Davud you are such a good person. If you want to know bangladeshi genuine food, you should try street food in so many places inside dhaka city. Hope you came oneday and try these with some person who knows good about this. There awesome site view behind the Bashundhara Mall and our Member of Perliment also has a natural site view there but you missed it bro. You should visit some modern places in Bangladesh like Bashundhara, Banani, gulshan-1 and 2, Baridhara, Jamuna Future Park( Jamuna Future park is the bigest mall in asia) Good luck bro and keep safe. I have noticed one thing that You most of the times paid extra money to the seller, but they didn’t give extra facilities. Like you paid dessert seller 220Tk extra, but he could have gave you one or two different sweets to eat as you are a guest in our country. That attitudes made me disappointed ☹️ Sorry

Bangladesh isn’t darfur or Afghanistan. People need to do some research. Jees! Lol. Bangladesh has South Asia biggest mall. Gdp nominal $460billion. Over 50million middle class. It’s got wealthy parts and sides too. Yes there’s still poverty there too but it’s not all poor as some western people think.
It's what they think outside south Asia. Everywhere like slums and people sitting on top of trains. Even if there are good things they will say it is not comparable with china or west. Won't appreciate any small improvements. As an Indian, I know.
@Facts Pilot That's the problem. They think that if its dirty its also poor. But the infrastructure projects in India even supass SEA countries. India will import the Shinkansen but cannot import the Japanese discipline.
@Facts Pilot Sri lanka is cleaner. But by cleanliness in India and Sri lanka I mean the litter and trash on road sides. But you could get quality hotels and services, good food and accommodation in both countries. There are lots of Russians who stay in Goa state of India. Cost of living is cheaper.
