Fun fact: When you were trying to pay to get turnips, the symbols written under the turnip drawing are math symbols. The inverted 'E' means 'there exists', and the circle with a slash means 'null set', so altogether it means 'there exists no turnips' 😂
@@LordDragox412 Rather than denying the existence of turnips (which would be something like "∄.turnip" in logical notation), the statement actually says that there is a lack of them. As in, there are no turnips where there should be any. This is a nuance that adds a lot to the environmental storytelling.
A fresh round of THINGS! 1. The Funeral home is the CORRECT way out in order to progress" 2. Robin's gift will surprise you! 3. Silly brick gets an achievement, but you haven't solved the duck one yet 4. Loading screen to the SECRET ENDING! (1 of 2) 5. If you put in the correct code, you get a different ending/achievement 6. NOW you have solved the duck one, congratulations! 7. YES, that is human remains in that trashbag, and YES, she is improperly disposing of the bodies 8. Nice bridge review 9. Nice work on the bridge review X2 10. Yes, it's part of the plan 11. Congratulations, you are ALMOST done with one of the plotlines, I must stress to you to be EXTREMELY thorough in that house
"Completly normal for a bridge to do that." Well, yes. I've seen an actual real civil engineer build some very similar bridges in a certain bridge building game.
Was going to the store the other day. Going under the highway, it is like a little tunnel the highway is so built up. What do I see? Retaining wall partly collapsing from recent crazy rains (our stuff isn't built with that in mind, I live in a desert), and rebar visible. I was so tempted to pull over and take a picture. Matt has ruined me.
Fun/Disturbing fact: That train tunnel is part of how the S.N.W. team smuggled nuclear material from the power plant to the bunker for enriching and other nefarious purposes, you didn't think that was worth a picture?
1:45 The Open Sewers coin and economy is a classic company town practice, it keeps your workers from affording to leave their job in the company town and keeps them paying the company for everything they need.
I would argue that the Cities: Skylines /Engitopia series is better than timberborners They have a literal shit volcano, with architects in it.. i think that wins, lol
Edit: Not trying to spoil, you'll never find this while exploring and it adds to the storyline! In Planet Crafter, there's a _very_ hard to find HUGE secret near the starting point. From the osmium cave that's between that big shipwreck and sulfur fields, if you're standing at the middle of the cave entrance looking towards the lake, it's *_almost_* directly southeast (a _hair_ towards south-southeast). Head that direction, and against that cliff (right of the aluminum fields) you'll see an outcrop with rocks (rocks instead of just cliff). Towards the left side of the outcrop on the lake floor, there's a rectangular-ish rock that's potentially removable. No spoilers, it'll make for a phenomenal title!! Again, near impossible to find!
@@dashadowgirl You should give him the heads up too, if you can please! It's a crazy surprise, will make for a great title if he'll upload to RU-vid. Just super hard to find
Must say that I absolutely love this series. I know it doesn't get as many views as your other series, but watching you play this made me buy the game. Can't wait to see you finish it - well, finish it again 😂
You don't understand how much I need this series! I literally binged the entire thing last weekend and I was afraid I would have to wait months for another installment. Thank you so much!
*SPOILER ALERT!!!!* *SPOILER ALERT!!!!* *SPOILER ALERT!!!!* Judging by episode length he is like 2 or 3 episodes away from the ending. That map he just walked in will be the last "normal" map. (By "map" I mean locations separated by loading screens.) Then he will have a gimmicky boat ride to the NPP map. And the last two to maps will be NPP itself (first one is the main building including office blocks and turbines & generators halls, second one will be reactor building itself). There he will have the final timed two-stage puzzle. Five minutes to solve the first part (which is not very difficult in engineering terms, but a rather quite difficult in terms of "where the hell are all those missing parts"), if you solve the first part the timer will be resrt and you will have to solve the second part which is a quite easy mini-game). Shold you fail to solve either of those stages - the game will end with "very bad" ending. If you solve both of them - you will have a "bad" or "good" ending depending on the quantaty of photos you taken thorougout the whole game. And after that you will have two micro "maps" (exit npp, and the ending itself) - they are basically just the endings cinematics, but from the first person.
The whole Open Sewer section was so out of place in an otherwise fantastic game. You're supposed to be preventing a meltdown of a nuclear plant, but instead you are collecting bottles for recycling! It might have worked better earlier in the game.
It's a very, very important place from a lore standpoint, and also blocks the path of the main character in a way that makes it so that collecting those bottles is the fastest way to get through it. I see no problems here. Not everyone is like you and can break doors down by using their thick skull to smash them open >:P
@@LordDragox412 You can certainly argue that it's important lore. But it could have been place *before* you get told to hurry to the power plant to prevent a meltdown. Being placed where it is in the story it just completely kills the momentum. As RCE observes in the video. You were told driving would be quicker than taking the helicopter!

Agreed, it definitely feels like it's a bit misplaced. To be fair the game was released in parts, so it would not have made sense to put it rectroactively in a previous chapter. But the reason for not taking the helicopter could have been better.
@ I mean, the reason is still pretty good. Waiting for the arrival of a heli would take longer than taking a car to get from point A to point B. It's just that unfortunately nothing ever goes to plan so due to crumbling infrastructure the main character once again has to travel by foot, and the shortest path to the power plant turns out to be crackhead town where the way forward is hindered by a token system which forces MC to collect the bottles and what not while at the same time learning things about the place as an extra. He's not running around and solving puzzles there to mess around and waste time, but to get through as it's still faster than seeking an alternative way, if there is any in the first place. Seems pretty logical to me. It's not like there is an easy way to get around the place and we don't lose much time there as the meltdown is not *that* imminent. So personally, I feel like the location is in the right place at a right time and the momentum doesn't slow down that much.

@@LordDragox412 Yeah, it's not a big deal, more of a nitpick than anything else. I've put 70 hours in this game :)
I love this game and the part that you were in was turnip hill or obensuer (open sewer) the city of stalburg is a fictional capital city of the fictional country of stolland
Near my home we have a limestone quarry, and they have a wall and entry gate made from Gabion baskets. They made them a permanent installation and they have lights attached. They even broke some pallets down and made similar baskets from wood to use as flower baskets. It’s actually quite nice to look at because they used them with decor in mind.
crawls through a broken window opposite a balcony with a hole in it and then decides the book is the only thing worthy of a photo, lol btw absolutely LOVE this series, its brilliant!
I got that game some days ago on a steam sale, and that just because I liked the videos you did of it. Thankfully I did not remember to much, so there was still puzzle value left in for me. Still... you are like one hour away from the "grand finale", so don't let us wait to long please!
I dont know if this game is made by finns but at 4.51 you can see pontikka on the wall of the building where the moonshine maker 9001 was and pontikka in finnish means moonshine so thats a fun easter egg. Edit i checked and the game was made by finns. Edit 2 also you can see little canisters of pontikka at 6.38
This city reminds me of Kowloon walled city. It's kind of got a Judge Dredd or Cyberpunk type of living style with 50,000 people living in less than 10 acres.
Love this series. I do find it odd that you cut out the dialogue, when you have to tell us what they said anyways. I feel like it would be slightly better if we just got to hear the dialogue. I don't think I've heard your character speak since early on in the series.
That made me lol so much. Cute teddy as a mascot and the restaurant is named ribale = That's a finnish spurdospärde meme shit and ribale means ripuli = Diharrea
RCE, obviously you may have played it when it originally came out but if you haven't I'd (and I think the community) would love a playthrough of The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe. I think you'd really enjoy it.
you... you know that in the sleeping guys "house" you needed to flush three times, yes BUT the it was the water from the toilet going throu (logicaly) so.. the pipe intersection that went outside was just going into the ground and then mushrooms grew, thats why he is the mushroom grower @Ral Civil Engineer
Hey Matt, There is one in the city I live, if you look on maps at Plymouth, and find a manadon roundabout, there is a suspening pedestrian bridge, under a highway bridge :D
We totally need a live stream of you playing this and getting super confused…. Possibly the best content on RU-vid right now. Also, BRIDGE REVIEW!!!!!!
Went back and watched the very first episode and this one is like a fever dream in comparison! Still love this game, very different to how it started though!
Hi, its just an idea, but dont you want to give number for the titles of the games, what you play, because, when i want to rewatch, or to just catch up with the Infra for example, then i dont know which video is the begining, or where i left last time. Anyway i love your videos
I got into this game years ago but stopped long before things got really weird. I was enjoying it, but this series makes me wanna go back and play through thoroughly and find all the lore and secrets. I had a spliff while watching this episode, I love the world design and how the story is being revealed over decades, how everything got to this critical point. This would be a great game for late nights and edibles...
I didn’t see any other comments about this, but the editing style of these videos is so frustrating now. Every few seconds we’re bounced to a new location and scene without a clear understanding of how they’re connected. Maybe this style is popular with the ADHD crowd, but I *hate* it. It makes me sad because I enjoyed this series. 🥺
