Dkayed is legit one of the best player that are able to CLEARLY COMMUNICATE his thoughts and decisions. There are many good players, but none are better speaker than Dkayed
I’m glad he describes the thinking behind every combo and play. It’s allowed me to learn how top players are destroying me 😂 but it’s also cool to learn the decks I’m playing against
@@FrostReave Branded Fusion needs an Albaz to send so if it gets used for something else or banished, it gets REALLY annoying to make a Lubellion to put it back in since only a handful of things count as Albaz on the Field or in GY and and there's no substitute for the one in deck. And I DID attempt to play Branded in the last Limit 1 event knowing most of the potential loopholes, so I know firsthand how annoying it is to play the deck like that.
@@MarioLopez-xs3vc That makes sense. Honestly most problems involving branded ultimately revolve around Branded Fusion. Rather then just gimping the deck by making it a double edged sword I’d rather they ban branded fusion and unlimited everything else. Albion can stay that way too.
I've been playing Branded without Gimmick Puppet nor any summon locks. Other Branded variants are fun, like Tear 60 Grass, and Chimera too. Edit: I use Sanctifire to how it's originally meant for; Special Albaz and Fusion into Mirrorjade or other Fusion Monster.
Quem and Cart are so so so pivotal, I don't think since Quem's release I have played a branded varient without at least 2 of each. In MD 3 cartesia and 3 shrouded and 2 high spirits can pretty much let you remove fusion deployment, making you able to rely on verte more easily whilst still being able to customise the monsters in rotation
I've managed with just 1 of each all this time because of how easy it is to recycle them, making extra copies become dangerously redundant at times. Golden Swordsoul is neat on more Bystials heavy packages to do this more often(and having an Albaz Dragon on the field lets their Attack negation thing actually pop something for some reason).
Try mannadium with archlord kristya! 3 shadows light and 1 kristya, the visas fusion can be targeted to special summon kristya, you can also use the graveyard effect to get the additional summon if you need it for ruimheart, reicheart, or samsara. You can also run mine Mole with the veda/clear new world package to lock out spells and special summons
This has been my favorite deck of all time. I’ve never used puppet because I honestly think it’s a win more card and dumb to play with. Can’t tell you how many people I’ve seen loose a duel because they just tunnel in on performing the lock. The fact that this deck has been on the tier list all this time is a testament to how good it is.
I wanna play branded because puppet is banned. I hate floodgates so playing non-degen version of a deck is pretty cool to me. Plus I was thinking of playing tear branded or luna branded or just use it to play crazy fusion decks.
Well I have been playing Branded for almost 2 years at this point, not once I included puppet or any other monsters alike in my list. I am happy see them banned, they should ban more floodgates.
Puppet isn’t a floodgate. It’s a self lock. It’s Albion that turns these cards into floodgates. The problem is Albion. They shouldn’t hit a bunch of innocent cards they need to hit the problem card, which is Albion

Branded staying relevant since release is truly a great sight to see. It's one of the most fun/balanced meta decks ever made. (minus the puppet lock strategy that is)
Branded is not susceptible to powercreep and it's always meta contender not because it was "well made" or "balanced" quite the contrary actually. It's because it was overpowered from the start and also oversupported after that. Formats where Branded is heavily played are awful, Tear 0 for instance. But hey it's Konami's pet deck after all for a reason LOL.

I want to play branded but that deck is so expensive all extra deck are UR and even more UR on Main deck and also i dont like the 60 card version i want 40 but i can't see any good list.
I played puppet lock a few times but then it got boring feels like I'm playing myself, I actually wanna out think someone when I play n see how their deck compares so I removed it, since then been playing VS toxic decks so decided I'd build an alt deck with puppet just to be toxic too but it got banned😢.
The Puppet nonsense was honestly kind of winmore before Snake-Eye came out to make a joke of Mirrorjade with a single easily searchable Spell Card. And even then Yubel and Centur-ion made Bystials relevant again so this is more a way to get rid of an obnoxious play style than to actually put a damper on something actually meta relevant. Which is fine by me since I never played Branded with either of those stupid cards that got banned(though I did use Five-Rainbow for a brief period as a way to deal with SHS specifically).

Talking about about a toxic deck, I started playing the trap chain deck for the XYZ cup and am actually doing good with it.... At this point, Konami made Yugioh into a joke.... These idiots at Konami have been ruining this game into the ground for years with their dumbass card ideas that they don't think about before putting out. At this point, the game will just be forever unbalanced and not much fun to play. I want the meet the person that actually approve these cards being made, because he has to be either a special kind of stupid or he just doesn't give a shit about the game.

Sanctifire just needed a errata, like have to summon of one monster of both gy, or something which doesnt allow this kinda of stuff, this card is too busted with the untargetable and superpoly protection...

No, gimmick puppet was the only viable lock. While other locks are possible, very few players will use them, so sanctifire can go back to its intended purpose now

Branded is a lot more toxic. The only Toxic part of Yubel is super poly, and what do you know branded also abuses it. Yubel is just a tad too strong and has an insanely good combination of engines

Like Albion should have been banned months ago. A deck doesn’t need to be tier 1 to be hit. If you think there being 2 objectively stronger decks justify your own stupid deck you are sorely mistaken.
10:30 misplay. Just make Mirrorjade straight away with Albaz + Garura. All making Lubellion here does is make you discard for cost for no reason. You also lose an Albaz in banish for a later lubellion (if needed).
It really isn’t. Fusing away the opponents board with backrow on both players turn with nearly a dozen different cards is super obnoxious as a concept as it is, but paired with absurdly broken cards like Branded Fusion (best Fusion spell in the game) and Mirrorjade (probably most broken fusion monster in the game) as well as truly insane and unstoppable recovery and the deck gets infuriating real quick

And Branded will absolutely fall out of tiered viability. Like all competent decks, it will steal games going first, but it won't be nearly as good as it is now and that's a fact. Branded can't compete in the handtrap war that these future Tier 1 decks will engage in and will almost automatically lose going 1st and 2nd if the Fiendsmith package comes at full strength.
