The scariest thing about having a doppelgänger is what if they were a wanted criminal and you see what looks just like you on a wanted poster

I feel sorry for those people that shares my looks.

Weirdest thing, I've only found one doppelganger for me and it was a picture of a man who had long since died when he was my age at 15. He was one of the woman at my church's late husband. Looked just like me but in a black and white photo, it was surreal for sure. She was so taken aback with me that I thought I did something wrong lmao, no you just remind me of my husband back when we were still childhood sweethearts.

Apparently my doppelgänger was on a tv commercial for bungee jumping. For months I had friends and family asking what it was like and if I was scared. I was so confused as I never saw the commercial myself.

My ex-husband started questioning me one day when I dropped the kids off.."When did you quit the restaurant & start stripping?!".. wait, what? My doppelganger is a stripper, apparently. I had to prove it with my time-sheet. He also saw her walking downtown one day. I never saw her. I wonder how many other people saw her & thought she was me.. or I was her.

Its definitely not that we share genes, im pretty sure its just the human body only has so many "templates" for faces to make, so you see people who clearly have the same facial "design" sometimes with minor diffs or sometimes exactly the same. With enough people and time there would be no such thing as a truly new or unique face, someone who had your eerily similiar face or close enough already exists or had existed.

That happened to me in highschool 😂 another guy and I looked Soo much alike people would always ask if we were twins . We got tired of people asking so we started saying we were brothers and we were not even related at all....

I’ve worked with my doppelgänger at 2 different companies and it was hilarious the way people interacted with us. It also inflated my ego because I thought she was so beautiful lol

My theory is that "Life" just ran out of genetic blueprints and eventually just ended up making the same copies? Kinda like when you create a character in a RPG video game and there's only so many options you can choose from the pallette that's available to you as far as facial features and body type go. I couldn't tell you how many times people have mistaken me for their friend or family member while out in public. One time some random dude came up to me at a bar and said I look identical to his close friend who just passed away literally that same week. He then proceeded to ask me for a hug as he was crying and I was more than happy to oblige. I felt like letting him hug me gave him a little closure and chance to say goodbye to his friend. 😞

When the movie "Twister" came out, people that I worked with told me that I looked and acted just like Bill Paxton. For a few years afterwards, I would see people in restaurants, especially in NYC, who were trying to look like they weren't trying to figure out who I was. The only film I remembered him from was Weird Science. So after I put it together, if I felt like someone thought they recognized me, I would affect the sneer that his character had in that movie, just to mix things up a little more.

My Mom called me a few months ago and said umm do you have a twin? I was like well I think you would know better than me 😂. I’ve heard for years there is someone in town that looks just like me. People have also said I look very much like Joaquin Phoenix and I can see what they mean. Kind of freaks me out a little seeing him sometimes.

No two people look exactly the same. There's always small but noticeable differences between them. Even in the examples shown here, they could pass as twins, but not clones.

It's a crazy thing to think about, I had one kid come to me one night at a high-school football game and said that I looked a little bit like Adam Sandler.

One of mine went to my same university at the same time I was attending. This one particular year, I had multiple people coming up to me, one of which was so upset at me for something. And I just looked at her like "I'm sorry I don't know you" And she got mad at me and thought that I was lying to her. And it wasn't until my best guy friend told me that he had bumped in to someone in the quad that he thought was me so he started talking to her and then she was extremely confused. Turns out, she lived in my friend's dorm so we got to meet each other finally. We had different noses and body structure but everything else was pretty similar

This one time my friends mom drive me home and there was a toddler in the back seat. This baby was smiling at me and was super happy to see me but I never met him before. I just thought he was just a sweet and happy baby until I met my friend’s sister. The sister look like me. A few years later, her son was mistook me for his mom again.
